Great shoe. Wear it at work and as a walking shoe.

Wow! Not only is the 990 v5 extremely comfortable and light weight, but it's also a great looking shoe-sneaker (is that even a thing?) I have wide achy feet, and believe me when I tell you that every other shoe and sneaker cause me a fair amount of discomfort or frank heel/instep pain. With the 990 v5 I have found my new go to "shoe-sneaker". I've even started walking more as a result of the comfort and styling of the shoe, and I appreciate the cool reflective materials used for added safety and visibility!

I love this New Balance shoe. It comes in a size 14-4E. It wears well and looks great, too.

My 20 year old son wanted these for his birthday. I thought they were rather expensive, but once I saw that they are made in the USA i bought them for him. I am very happy to say they are extremely well made, and I love how the box and tag show off patriotism. He loved his birthday surprise.

These are great to wear for any occasion and are really comfortable. The fact that you can get them in wide is a bonus.

Have been thru early 990's, 991,992,993 and now back to new and improved 990. New Balance always improves on already great shoes, and wearing the best , while supporting American Jobs is a win-win!!!

Shoe is well made and i did not mind paying a premium for an American made product. Unfortunately they are not comfortable at all. The highter end NB shoes designed with foam support are much more supportive and comfortable.

I am disappointed with the 990v5 as NB narrowed the heel (for so-called stability purposes) to the point that my achilles tendons are being irritated. I am currently running in my old pairs of 990v4 until I can find a suitable replacement.

I have been wearing 990s since the first came out. The latest version is great!

I am thankful to be able to find size 14, shoe for a narrow foot. New Balance shoes give me the best fit I can find, and they feel great to my feet! Bill Bos

The soles of both shoes are coming off the shoes with less than 3 weeks wear and although they are comfortable this is discouraging to me considering the 990v4 lasted much longer

The tag wore off my old pair so I didn't know what size. I remembered they were wide-wide so ordered the 2E figuring that was double wide. But when they arrived I couldn't even get my foot in. Back they went with a 4E order. Why not change your sizes to W and WW? No confusion then. The E's just confuse the issue.

When new and for many months I use this product for jogging; then for r general casual activities & when worn down quite a bit I wear them when gardening. I usually have 3 pair ; one for each of these stages of wear.

Overall fit is superb. Tongue stays in place better and I can be in them for hours with little tiring. Alight my hips and back very well. Excellent

I get more complements on these shoes than any others I own. Great look, great feel, and great fit. I like them so much that I bought two different pairs of this shoe - Black with Silver and Grey with Castlerock . This purchase has convinced me to look for other New Balance Made in USA shoes. Keep up the good work!

I have been buying NB for over thirty years and have used the size 10 1/2 EE consistently. These new shoes seem to be running a little big. It feels as though my heel slides around. I'm a little disappointed that I paid a lot of money (for me) to have a shoe that doesn't fit as well as previous pairs of the same size. Other than that, it is a well constructed shoe and happy to pay a little extra for something made in America.
