Upgrade from speedcross 4 to the 5 and at 1st didnt look to diffrent but the lase system is much better espesaly when full of mud from OCR

I bought the wide version of the Speedcross 5 recently and literally just competed in the Jones Gap Trail Marathon in the Carolinas hosted by Upstate Ultras. Brutal course...lots steep technical ascents and descents. This shoe performed wonderfully...the traction is best in class and the overall comfort is really superb. Despite being constantly wet, the shoe exceeded my expectations. The only issue are the insoles tend to slip and bunch up in the toe box...especially on descents, forcing me to stop and re-align the insoles...other than that, the shoe is amazing.

I'm no mountain goat, but the Speed Cross 5 gives me the confidence to feel like I'm as sure footed as one. I highly recommend this shoe for the novice trail runner such as myself, they are prefect in loose rocky terrain. They are sized a tad large, although I wouldn't drop a half size for fear they might me too small so I found a good sock to make up the difference.

Love these shoes. I've been running in them since they came out. Only complaint I have is the insole tends to ball up under my toes when they get wet. I have swapped the insoles and the seem to be better now. I will order these again when my current pairs start to wear out.

Shoes are amazingly comfortable. Because of the bright red color you can be seen from far off. I have been asked if I would, "Click my heels together." From the Wizard of Oz, Dorthy, red shoes.... If I respond I say, "No thanks, I don't wish to go to Kansas.

Einen Wettkampf bei "schlimmsten" fr den Schuh aber besten Bedingungen bestritten und voll berzeugt, bei Schneeregen und steilen trails fhlt sich der Schuh pudelwohl, rutscht nicht und gibt halt. Als Schuh fr alpinere Geschichten fr mich zu hohe Stollen und zu viel Sprengung. Auch fr die Strae ist mir die Sprengung etwas zu hoch. Ansonsten top!

They don't breath as well as I had hoped, but it's not unlivable. One of the laces has started getting hard to loosen up when I have them on tight. If I can figure out why the one lace won't loosen up, I will likely get another pair of these.

I love these shoes I've been buying them for years but the pair before this that I bought wasn't true to size. Felt like it was half size small. I ended up giving those away and ordered a half size bigger and they fit great.

I have have these shoes for a couple months now. About 50kms run so far. The pros for me: They are great for powering up rocky muddy acents and equally good going down. In times others were slippin, i was grippin. They fit me nice and snug. The cons i have are with the lacing system. I can not seem to get an even lacing. They always seem to be tighter at the top and lose at the bottom. Maybe a Boa lacing system for the Speedcross 6 or an option perhaps. Boa works great on my snowboard boots.

Bereits mein 7. Paar. Tolle Passform nur die Sohle ist sehr schnell abgelaufen. Drei Tage gepulgert und die Sohle ist nur noch die Hlfte. Andere Materialkombi wre gut.

Je suis content de cet article mais je pr?f?rais les anciens mod?les speedcross qui avaient mois d amorti et me convenait mieux. Bonne accroche et agr?able ? porter

Voil quelques mois que je porte cette chaussure au quotidien, j'ai pu pendant ce temps apprcier le confort et le style. J'ai pass le cap de les mettre pour aller courir. Excellente surprise, le confort avant tout, maintien du pied. Que dire de l'accroche sur les terrains actuels, encore gras des pluies qui ont t abondantes. Petit bmol tout de mme sur les rochers mouills, mais permets de tester son quilibre :)

Bought these for a trail half marathon over some pretty rough terrain. The grip and performance of the shoe could not have been better. By the 10 mile mark my feet weren't enjoying the run anymore. The cushioning just isn't enough if you're a bigger guy. These will be great hiking shoes from here on out but I'll be looking for a more cushioned trail shoe for running. For reference I'm 6 foot and 185lbs.

I have worn SpeedCross 4 (2pairs), and had the same issue with the quality of the upper on both pairs. The issue was that after a period of wearing them, small splits in the upper in the fore part of the shoe could be seen. After the second pair showed the same problem, Salomon CS recommended moving to the SpeedCross 5 shoes. As I've only worn these a few times, at present no problems in terms of wear or performance, I can not really give a true review.

Fantastic trail shoe for soft ground. It has large lugs, these won't work well for hard ground. They'll be as good as it gets for mud, sand, etc.
