This one's a classic and I've come back to it after years away. This shoe just makes sense, rugged protection from the stuff your stepping and that aggressive tread will keep you upright whether the trail is dry or muddy.

Picked these up a few months ago, those with a wider foot these are great, I have another pair of the speed cross 5 and they are a bit wider on the foot, either pair are perfect.

The 4's are one of my favorite shoes.... so maybe bring them back? The 5's are like a close 2nd. Mostly I've had issues with the insole sliding around in them, especially when they get wet, which will force me to stop my run in order to straighten them back out (I've had two pairs, both have had this issue). Fantastic traction and durability though.

This continues to be the best trail runner for me. After longevity issues on mixed trail/pavement with Speedcross 4's, I limited my Speedcross 5's to pure trails, but just a few miles on granite takes a lot out of it. I got 250 miles on these before some of the lugs are completely worn off (blue version). Supposedly this shoe is made for wet conditions, but I find the stability and traction on dry hardpack is great.

I bought this shoe a month ago, and have put about 50 miles in trail running and hiking in Alaska. There are plenty of steep hills here, and rocks/shale to test these out. They are quite durable with only 2 small nicks in the toe area from rocks.
The major issue I had was after a steep down hill, the insole bunched up near the toe (it slid forward). I've never experienced this in a she before, and was quite disappointed. After searching around, I read that adding some "shoe goo" to glue it in place would work, and have not had any issues since.

Wie die anderen Generationen vorher auch... Super...
Kann das mit dem Verschlei nicht besttigen... Wenn ein Schuh bei fast tglicher Verwendung 2 jahre halt dann reicht mir das... (Preis wie bei allen guten Marken zu hoch - wenn man sich berlegt das der Schuh ca. 10 Euro im EK hat... - daher keine 5 Sterne)

I like the lightness of the SC5 compared to SC4. My concern is that it may have lost some stability. I am not sure if it as a result of the material and but I feel there is too much softness or lack of response when moving laterally. I frequently trail run and have done three Spartan races. One of the races was with SC4, which I felt were great for traction and overall response. I have an upcoming Spartan, which I am concerned with doing wearing the SC5s since they don't seem supportive enough. I am considering purchasing the SC4s again. I read a review that mentioned the toe box being was overcompensated and too big with the SC5 and that could be it. Not sure but I find myself cinching down the laces way too tight to compensate for the loose feeling. That being said I believe this version will be better releasing the water when completely submerged in an obstacle course race. Great looking shoe.

My second pair of speedcross. I had the 4's before and now the 5's. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because the dang laces catch won't stay tucked in the pocket at all, other than that it is a great and tough shoe.

ORDER YOUR SALOMONS HALF A SIZE SMALLER! I wear a 10 in Nike's but a 9.5 in Salomons. The upper is a super comfortable mesh, thought it would be a tougher upper but it's soft like a pillow. Love the grip on the outsole, good shoes.

I bought this a month ago an enjoyed the shoes. Used them in OCR. Awesome grip up and down the mountain. I was however surprised that the insole would slip when wet, making the shoes uncomfortable, I'll try to glue them because otherwise, I really the the shoes. They fit tight, like expect with enough space for the toes during long run.

Hab den Schuh bei Insta gesehen und da war mir klar den muss ich haben wg der Farbe. Tripple Red ein Traum und der Fit wie ein Socken. Ein echter Hingucker! Werde st?ndig auf der Stra?e angesprochen, was das f?r ein geiler Schuh ist :)
