I am 59 yrs old & have the blessing of back packing above 10k' with 30 ur olds. Have great hiking boots but on an extended pack trip high country fishing in late summer & fall the feet need a rest from the heavy trail backpacking boots. So for side trips out of advanced camp I was looking for something functional to wear fishing or side trip hikes. Tried sportiva & thought they were comfortable till I slipped the cross 5's and wow these are not only camp shoes but shoes with enough arch support sole stiffness traction & the ability to dry fast should they get wet. Was impressed with the featherweight shoe that provided all of this. Went looking for a lightweight camp shoe & ended up with a shoe to wear on all but times I had 50# on my back. Worth the weight & we count every ounce. thx Salomon!

My only complaint about Salomon shoes has ever been that they're too narrow for my feet and usually my pinkie toes pay the price, but not this shoe! Great for running, gym, general outdoor use, easily my favorite pair of shoes right now.

W zasadzie to but "legenda" uywam ich od lat (od modelu 3) i nie zamieniam na nic innego. Na boto i paskudne warunki sprawdzaj si doskonale. Naprawd polecam bo co wietne :)

These Speedcross 5 shoes are phenomenal. There was absolutely no break-in required.

Bought the Speedcross 5 a month ago and have put about 50 miles on them. Like other Salomon shoes, they are true to size, surprisingly padded and tough! I see why these are so popular. The traction is unparalleled. Very happy with my choice.

I love my speed cross shoes. I've been buying these since the original model. I've only had problems with one pair and Salomon warranty issues without issue. I am a life long supporter of Salomon products because of their great customer service.

This is my 3rd pair of Salomon Speedcross and by far the best ever. The updated design hits all the right spots and solves any issues of previous models that I didn't even realizr existed. Great shoe. I can't wait to see whats next. Thank you Salomon!

I bought this trail hiker for for husband and he instantly loved them. He finds them extremely comfortable, even after having an Achilles surgery a while back. So much so, that he wears them several days a week. We recently went hiking in Montana and our feet were feeling great! Did I mention, I own a pair too. Thanks for the great hiker, just ordered him another pair. Can't say enough about a shoe that you can put on and hike for miles without issues. Keep up the great products.

The Speedcross 5 is hands down a step above the 3 and 4. This shoes feels much better on your foot. You have better protection around your ankles and toe box. The new heel is very comfortable and it feel a bit wider than the 3 and 4. I really like the colors with this model as well. Overall if you need a shoe that you can run a Spartan race in or run on rock and sand this shoe is legit.

I was quite shocked actually at the comfort of these shoes considering how solid the build is. The feel and the cushioning are really top notch. Can't recommend enough. Wishing I had bought another pair in the dark red before my size became unavailable. I bought the red replacement laces to really make the grey pop.

My last pair were Speedcross3 in a 10. I'm a 9.5 or 10 normally so I measured and ordered the 9.5, fit perfect they are not a small 9.5 they are spot on. Top quality worth the money.

I looked online for the best shoe for disgolf and saloman speedcross was on the list of very few postive brands of reviews for discing. I have played five discgolf rounds of 18 and they feel and grip like i never dreamed, even on the cement. The one thing I am worried about if they delaminate from the sole like other shoes, if so they have a 2 year warranty and if they ever do i will warranty them out. I only use them to disc and take them off when I'm done.

The size is true to fit. Lug pattern and materials are much improved over the speedcross 3 and 4.

The speedcross 5 has amazing durability, comfort, and traction.

Well, when I tried this shoes, it was a miracle. It's comfortable, I tried out another brands like Hoka and inov 8, but this shoe was so much better in quallity and protection.
