wide toe base is what I look for

I've greatly enjoyed wearing the Trail Glove 5.

I thought the arches were a little hard in the shoe at first but after months of covid and being sedentary inside I realized my feet were pretty overpronated from being weak and walking poorly. I have since taken up an active job and lifestyle and my feet are strong and I don't walk all wonky anymore. The arch pain has gone away completely and my shoes are all broken in and feel soft now. I can't wait to get more. I had the original version of the shoe until I accidentally destroyed them on the muddiest, swampiest trail in existence. I think the new version is pretty good.

First & foremost...no break in needed. Once I got them, hit the trails 8 miles without issues. Super grippy....perfect protection, stability one needs for the challenges of trail hiking. I have bunions, finding a pair of shoes is not an easy chore. This is perfect for my imperfect feet.

Love the trail gloves and really wish Merrell would come out with a waterproof version for the winter, as I only wear barefoot style shoes for running. I run outside on a track in the winter, even when it snows, but I don't like having wet feet. I do wear last year's Copenhagen water-resistant version when there's not a lot of snow on the ground, at least, but waterproof is the way to go for more snow. Still, I hate to see the end of the season come for another reason - I know there won't be any new colors to choose from until the spring arrives. Can I get enough Trail Gloves? My closet says "no!" These are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn, so I do own them in multiple colors. Right out of the box, a brand-new pair is as comfortable as a pair I've been wearing for 3 months. I would also like to see the Copenhagen (or similar) design come out again. I get so many compliments when I wear them.

These shoes are fantastic. I have really high arches and a wide toe, these are the only shoes that fit perfectly right out of the box. I'm used to buying half a size up to fit my toes, I ended up having to exchange these for my actual shoe size then they fit my toes! So comfy.

I did not know about the Trail Glove shoes. I read reviews and the specifications and decided to try them. I was concerned when I read that they run big and did what another reviewer recommended which was to order my usual size and one half size down and send back the one that doesn't fit. I ended up keeping them both! I could not tell much difference in the two sizes so I would recommend getting your usual size. I got the black ones and the gray ones.They are so comfortable. They are so lightweight. It is almost as if I was barefoot only with ground protection and support. The arch support is excellent. I have high arches and this helps my toes from cramping.I usually walk on paved surfaces with a short distance on gravel. My feet feel protected at all surfaces. I have not used them on trails. I highly recommend these shoes. Comfortable, lightweight, good arch support, and stylish.

These sneakers are amazing. You don't even feel like you're wearing shoes, they have great traction. Lightweight & comfortable .

These shoes are great. They are very comfortable and the tongue is barely noticeable. The soles are grippy and make trail runs a pleasure.

The fit is perfect and, while being supportive on the feet, they feel flexible and comfortable in every way.

This is my 2nd pair of the Women's Trail Glove 5! The last pair I purchased lasted for about a year and they were so comfortable I had to reorder the exact same thing. The sizing was slightly different on my new pair, but pretty consistent with the reviews I had read. Order a half size smaller than what you normally wear. I wear these as my everyday shoes and they work great for walking and hiking too. I love how my feet can really form to the ground I'm walking on yet there's enough support that rocks don't hurt my feet.

At first I wasn't sure I liked them, But after I wore them for a day I dont wear anything else. They are so comfortable, it doesn't feel you have shoes on

I have a wide foot...and orthotics. I have been able to wear these shoes with or without my orthotics and my feet feel great. I'm super glad I discovered them and plan to order a second pair in black. Thanks Merrell!

Excellent shoe for walking trails; gravel, dirt, mud, grass or even pavement! I ordered my regular size and they fit great. The toe bed is wider but works. get great grip and stability with my Merrell Trail Glove shoes and the purple color is awesome! Highly recommend!

This is my fourth pair of Trail Gloves. They fit my foot perfectly - no break in period - and I love to wear them barefoot.

After reading some reviews, I sized down to a 6. Unfortunately, they were too small. A 6.5 would have been perfect (I am usually a 6.5). The shoes are light, flexible, and easy to put on... I would suggest, if you plan on wearing socks to size up a half size. The shoes arrived with a cut lace, and a cut to one of the upper lace loops. Even though they were sold out of the size that I needed, Zappos made it right and were super apologetic about what had happened. Love Zappos!

I really like this shoe! It's comfortable, supportive, and everything I'm looking for in a "barefoot" shoe. I tried it on in the store and thought a half size smaller would fit perfectly than my usual 7.5. I highly recommend this shoe if you are the barefoot movement or looking for something lightweight, breathable, and empowering. Yes, I use these on long hikes and no, I'm not worried about the stability of a larger shoe or boot because I trust the strength of my foot.

The shoe fit good and look great

After recent reconstructive surgery, my orthopedic surgeon advised me to wear wide toe box shoes for at least a year for best results. These are SO comfortable, I have multiple pairs for walking, golfing and more. I get the support I need and pain-free movement through casual or intense use. Wonderful shoes!!! And my Dr. is impressed with them too!

I'm always skeptical about buying shoes online. The shoe fits like a glove and is extremely comfortable. I work 16 hour shifts a lot and I can tell you that my feet never hurt me. They say to get a half size up but I got my regular size and it fit fine. Love the shoes, love the price! Very happy with my purchase.

These shoes are great. The barefoot aspect and light weight design is perfect. They strengthen your feet as you exercise and your balance is improved.

I have purchased five toe shoes in the past, really like them but can be hard to put on. I thought I would try these Barefoot shoes and I am so impressed, fit like a glove! Love them!!

I was so happy to watch the video on this shoe. It had the features that i was looking for because your foot moves correctly as you walk. This has been an issue as i have purchased other shoes hoping for this feeling of control as a walked. It is exactly as noted. Thanks for this design that allows me to walk more every day!!!
