My right foot around mid arch hurts badly. I'm not sure why and I've tried to break it in but to no avail. This is the second time I'm trying to write a negative review since my last negative review didn't post. This purchase was waste of money and time. I've had Merrill's over the years and they were no break in comfort. These hurts and I don't have feet issues. I threw out my box thinking there won't be any issue so I can't even return them.

I usually wear a 7 and ordered a 7. They feel slightly big and I highly doubt a 6.5 will fit. They do have a nice barefoot feel. The arch support in this would be why I'm returning them. I have incredibly flat feet I mean I have no arch whatsoever I put the shoes on and they instantly hurt the arch...it is entirely too high and it feels unnatural maybe this is how normal people's arches are supposed to be I don't know but I couldn't wear these more than a few seconds and that was around the house. Will try another Merrell product. Not sure what yet. Really disappointed.

This was to be my fourth pair of Trail Gloves. I switch between these and Five Fingers, depending on season. I am incredibly disappointed in this shoe. It is huge compared to the previous three shoes. I would say it runs at least a full size large. Also, for some reason they put an arch in this update. Why? As soon as you add an arch to a shoe, it is no longer "barefoot." Adding the arch also makes the entire shoe stiffer than before. Definitely not the flexible glove it claims to be. Needless to say, these will be going back and I will be switching shoe brands. So sad.

I have 4 other pairs ofTrail Glove shoes. The new Trail Glove 5 is not like the others. The footbed is slightly thicker and very uncomfortable. Had I not walked in them for 5 miles, I would have sent them back. Disappointed! Very sore feet.
