Very light, comfortable, for summer use better, not winter

These shoes are very comfortable. They allow free toe movement. This is my third pair. I wear them a lot and wear them out in 4-5 months. Feels like I'm wearing rubber slippers good for the outdoors.

This is a great shoe. I love how light and yet stable it is. It is also more water-resistant than other running shoes I have had.

Bought my usual size, fits great! Easy on too. Very comfy. Nice looking, subtle. As I age I need a stable shoe that doesn't look like a surf board. These a gentle, flexible, comfortable in the woods. I don't run much any more, but walk alot. Great shoe. Room for a thicker padded sock.

These shoes were a great alternative to Barefoot shoes that I wear in the summer. I can put wool socks on with these and I still get the feel of minimalist running without freezing my toes off!

I love the glove shoes. Why? i always went barefoot before trying these. Even thru a number of hikes in Sadona. I need to feel what is beneath me so I don't slip or twist an ankle. These shoes let me feel underfoot so I know if there is a rock or anything yet they still protect my feet. Also, they improve my walking stance. Somehow, when I wear these I no longer walk like a duck ... feet pointed outward. This improves my over all performance, comfort, and posture.

Great lightweight shoe, bought for my son. This is the third or fourth pair we've had because he wears them every day, and eventually he wears through them (the laces, maybe, could be more durable) but he likes how they feel.

I live in these shoes. I have bad knees and ankle issues so the lower heel is a boon. Just the right amount of support. Other reviews say these run big, but I think most Merrell shoes run small. These are perfect. I'm getting ready to order another pair because I've worn these so much after 2 years the soles are wearing.

My bunion didn't even flinch when I first put on this shoe! Terrific support with low heel drop, uppers that hug my foot--I am delighted. Thank you for making women's shoes that offer such great support and comfort. The style is sporty, but subdued, so I feel great wearing these almost everywhere.

The trail glove is comfortably, very lightweight and I love it! I've used is on light trails and for city walks. It looks great and easy to pack for the go. One of the best shoes I've ever owned.

These are a great minimalist trail runner. Size 1/2 a size down as instructed. I am usually a 7.5 and had to get a 7. I am very happy with this shoe to run on pavement and trails.

I love these shoes so much, I've bought them in two colors, and would have purchased more if they were still available in my size. As other reviewers have mentioned, you will definitely want to size down 1/2 size for a perfect fit. I wear them without socks, and they are, without a doubt, the most comfortable trail/walking shoes I've ever owned.

I will preface that I am not a barefoot runner and typically prefer a light shoe. I have high arches so I need good support. After a few glasses of wine, I bought these shoes online because when I drink I like to buy shoes. I didn't think much about it and was pleasantly surprised when I received a shoe box in the mail. I have been trail running for nearly 25 years and my feet have taken quite a beating. I am prone to neuromas, have a bunion, and at this point we can just say I have hooves. Anyway, my expectations were low but I like having a variety of shoes so I gave them a spin... 7 miles later, I was realizing I was in love. I bought a second pair. And it wasn't just a fling, yesterday I took my other new beauties out for 3+ hours and felt no pinching in the toe box, no aching in the arch, no pain in the ball of the foot..... I did another 90 minutes today and I think these are the real deal. This may be true love. Sadly I cannot find anything comparable as a road version, and although trails are infinitely better than road, I dare Merrell to one day try to create a road version. I just bought two more additional pairs and I am ready to divorce many of the other shoes in my rotation. I tried, Altras, I really did try. Merrell, I know some people do not feel this shoe is barefoot enough but it is the perfect combo of less-is-more but more-than-zero-is-ok. Some of us do need something to prevent our arches from crashing as we are all not born with good feet. I beg you to not ruin this shoe -- do not let it turn into a hot mess like the Pure Grit or discontinued like the lovely trail Kinvara. Some of us are now deep into this relationship. Thank you.

This shoe has fantastic arch support. Not the most cushioned foot-bed - these wouldn't be my choice for pounding the pavement all day, but great for trail walking. Roomy toe-box. No heel slip.

Size 6.5 fits great on my feet, around 9 inches long and 4 inches wide if that helps anyone. I got these shoes on my quest for the right shoe for a Savage Race. This was my second race, so I had a good idea of what I was looking for in a shoe and these delivered. I've had them for several months now for training for the race as well as the race itself. This is the best praise I can offer: I didn't think about my shoes during the race at all. These shoes are extremely comfortable and lightweight, perfect for climbing walls and slogging through the water. Plus, they fit so snuggly I didn't feel like I was in danger of losing them when I was thigh-deep in the 'mud' that I suspect was secretly wet concrete. After the race was over, it was easy to hose them down and now I'm back to jogging weekly in them. I will say that since they are so lightweight there is hardly any padding. I could caution someone who experiences knee pain and would then suggest a more substantial shoe. However, the arc support is great, and as a young person, I haven't felt any pain running in these so far.

I've always liked going barefoot. Our bodies were not made to wear shoes and these shoes are perfect. My back no longer hurts and I wear them every day. You must try them.

This is my first pair of barefoot footwear and I'm blown away. I've had hip and knee pain for years, and after wearing these on my daily walk for about 3 weeks, I'm virtually pain free. I had no idea how much a flat shoe could affect my alignment and help me correct my pelvic tilt. My chiropractor recommended giving up my traditional running shoes for these, and I'm so glad I did!

I have flat fleet and most trail shoes are uncomfortable because of that. The trail glove 5 are really comfortable and light. Really great for those of us who don't want clunky hiking shoes and still get protection from trail elements (rocks!)

I wasn't sure I did the right thing ordering my usual size (7.5, edging toward 8) because so many reviews say these run large. They do, but I was getting tired of having the outer sides of my feet pinched and took a chance that this would accommodate my wider feet. The toebox is indeed a little roomy but with the right weight socks the fit was perfect.
