These are OK, but not really to my taste. I have EEE feet with a normal width heel, and these fit great-- I have toe space but my heel doesn't flop around! That's rare. I'm really hard on my shoes (I expect a rip or hole in 3-6 months) and these are holding up OK after 9 months or so. I don't care for the style (the most I can say is: most modern hiking shoes on the market are hideous, these are...fine), but for durability and fit they're wonderful. On the plus side: they're legit waterproof. I wouldn't overtop the ankle, but snow melting on top of the laces and standing in a puddle doesn't leak through. They're a great winter shoe when you don't necessarily want actual winter boots. They're not particularly insulated and my feet were cold in -20F, but anything 0F and above they're fine because the waterproof layer traps warmth (I run warm, YMMV.) On the other hand, the waterproof layer traps warmth...so if you run hot, they're too hot for not-winter. They also have good traction in dry conditions but mediocre traction in wet conditions. The sole also feels very "hard" to me, making them uncomfortable for long walks or standing without replacing the insole for a foam one. These are marketed as a hiking shoe, but in my opinion they're not comfortable or versatile enough for that. They are very good for winter walking (with ice cleats) and winter driving (warm enough, but you can still feel the pedals) and that was the reason I bought them...so, fine, good enough.

Fit is good, shoe is light, with the mesh I am surprised that it is waterproof, I have not tested it. It was on sale so was limited in color choice, which is why I ding it a little. So comfort and fit are awesome. I miss the draw string laces my old model had. This one is fine, but I don't love the styling but hard pressed to return it because they are comfortable and that is the most important thing.

This ran at least a half size small - not the typical Merrell fit. My toes pressed hard against the front. The tongue was a bit bunched up but it didn't seem to press unevenly. Only wore it for a few minutes to walk around the room. Will try another Merrell style because it's always been an exceptionally good fit for me and the quality was good in the past. Merrell please don't let me down.

These are my everyday shoes. Good support.

These shoes were a little tight at first but after a couple of days wearing them they relaxed and are very comfortable now. The laces though, like mentioned in other reviews, don't like to stay tight or tied. A double knot or quick laces are suggested.

So far so good. Good walking on rocks.
