Go back to the Glycerin 14 fabric and style. Everything about that shoe was luxe. The shoe strings were better. The soles were better. I don?t like the new sponge looking soles. They are hard to clean. The newer Glycerins are not as plush as the older ones. I also am tired of the same sad color ways of the Glycerins. I have bought other styles and none compare to the Glycerin but they need an updated look, including wide widths. I?ll be forever a fan of Glycerins. Best running shoe on the market.

Not sure how I feel about these because even though the heel is well cushioned, the balls of feet are not loving their space and lack of protection from the pavement.

I really want to love these sneakers, but I don't. They look really sharp, and I love how the numerous reflective surfaces change color as I'm moving along. Beyond that, they are a complete 180 from my last pair. I have a pair of Glycerin 14 sneakers which were great. They were stylish, stable, supported my arches (excellent insole), and stood up to all my fitness regimens. Unfortunately, they wore out. I was leery of the 17's fully knit upper, and rightly so. They hug my feet, but don't provide any side to side stability; my feet constantly roll/slide to the outside of the sneaker. The heel provides excellent shock absorption, but the ball/toe area does not. Every time I push off it hurts my feet. I keep telling myself that I just need to break them in. That my feet hurt because I should have replaced my sneakers sooner. I'll give them a little more time, but I don't believe these are the right sneakers for me.

Had a pair of Glycerin 15 that I loved! The Glycerin 17 feel very narrow in the heel, definitely not as comfortable. Will return.

I really liked the last several iterations of the Glycerin, but this one is different. I don't understand why they make changes to the shoe and name it the same thing. It would be great if I could buy a shoe and then be able to order them without worrying that the fit or support will be different from the last version. I don't understand the point of naming the shoe if they're going to be inconsistent.

These newer versions aren't as comfortable or have as much cushion as the older models. :-(

I ordered a size 11 and it fit really well. I was looking for a different style of Brooks since the Ghosts have been changed so much I just can't wear them. I liked the support over the arch and around the foot and the sturdy feel of several generations of Ghosts ago. So I tried these and found them to be way too soft and stretchy around the foot. The tongue was so narrow it didn't even cover the laces which rubbed against my ankle when I used the last hole. The arch support was not even good enough even though I put in my orthotics and walked around the house. I'm returning them and trying some Asics which I used to wear 20 years ago for running. I have a neutral foot but supinate somewhat and I prefer a more stable shoe than these glycerins provided. Great color, however.

Coming from a Brooks Glycerin 15, these were simply too narrow. I moved over to the Ghost 12 and am very happy with that purchase.

First time I have tried on the Brooks brand. Did not like the fabric on top of the shoe...it was droopy without a supportive firmness. It was not uncomfortable but yet was not comfortable enough, and felt 'flimsy'. It was too short to fit my foot properly which contributed to its lack of comfort.

I only run in Glycerins. The 16s were the best pair by far. I thought the 17s would be just as great but the toe area is lacking. I always get a size 9. These 17s seem to come down over the toes lower than any other pair. They are rubbing my toe nails really bad and after so long it's painful. Everywhere else on the shoe fits perfectly just like older models.

I’m a size 12. These 12s felt like 11s - just too short to slip into normally so I can’t comment beyond that as to how they felt and fit.

I've noticed a decrease in quality the past two times I've ordered. I hate the new shoelaces. So flimsy and knot the first time you tie them.

I love these. I have plantar fasciitis and these supported my foot great. I am returning one pair and purchasing another, because it felt like something popped in the heal of the left shoe. I hope the new pair doesn’t do that, because I love them.

Great shoe. Brooks Glycerin's are my go-to running shoe that I've used for several years. The cushioning for this shoe is unmatched in the industry. I've tried many shoes before the Glycerin. While a minor detail, I am not crazy about the color. I wish that wide widths were offered in more colors. The Glycerin 15 had such a great color selection.

I LOVE Brooks Glycerin but unfortunately don't care for the color selections for the 17 (womens). Would much prefer a basic black or even the dark blue/gold color that was offered in the men's Glycerin.

I usually love the Glycerin style. My last four pairs have been the Glycerin, but this style is my least favorite. They don't hug my foot like the others; they seem wider and bigger. For the price, they should be perfect.

I love how wide the toe box is in the glycerin, but I can burn up the tread pretty quickly! I started running in these at the beginning of November and I'm almost in need of another pair. Please note that I run 4-5 miles a day M-F and 10-15 miles on Saturday/Sunday.

I ran in these for a week and the top of my feet & heels hurt so bad. It could be just the NightLife version as the tongue and laces are different. My heels slip and both the tongue & flat slippery laces are very thin with little padding. I'll be exchanging for the Revel 3 which are lighter and less expensive.

I loved the looks of these shoes. Unfortunately, the tongue of the shoe was only two inches wide and barely padded (if at all!). I measured my Brooks Ghost and the tongue was over three inches wide and nicely padded. The Glycerins just weren't supportive and comfortable enough for the price.

I still love my Brooks Ghost.
