I've been wearing these shoes for the past 7 years, maybe longer. I was very excited to get my new pair because my 16s were worn out completely. I put them on and instantly felt that great new feeling; however, when I went to walk the shoes rubbed my heels and I have 2 blisters and bled on one shoe. I compared them to the 16s and they do have a higher back and also are angled the opposite direction. I'm sad because I finally ordered and I've never been disappointed before. I guess I will be using that 90 day guarantee and beginning to shop for a new shoe.

No reinforcement around shoe lace holes. Already ripped 3x. Beyond disappointed as Glycerin's have been my go to. My one and only for 7 years.

It is with sadness that I say I cannot wear Brooks Glycerin any longer. I have worn this shoe for years and every time it got redesigned I panicked, thinking I would not be able to wear them any longer. Well, that day has arrived. The Glycerin 17 has been redesigned in such a way that it is no longer friendly to my feet. I have problem feet and need neutral, cushioned shoes with a narrow heel and wide toe box. Glycerin has been perfect for my feet for many years, but the Glycerin 17 is awful. The size 8 wide is still cushioned, but the toe box is much smaller. My toes felt crowded and jammed right up against the sides of the shoe. I tried them on before working out and at the gym when I knew my feet would be swollen from running. My toes were very uncomfortable. The heel is now made of some extra cushy material that is terrible. I had to lace up using the extra holes and keep the laces tight. Even then, my ankles slipped against the extra-cushiony heels and rubbed in an irritating way I could not ignore. The color scheme is meh. I never get the color scheme I like because my size always sells out quickly and Zappos doesn't seem to restock before I absolutely have to have a new pair. I tried the 8.5 wide and sent those back because although the toe box is okay, the heels are way too big and my feel slide out of them when in motion, no matter how tight the laces are. Unfortunately, Brooks Glycerin and I will have to part ways until they fix the design. I will now have to visit my local running store to begin the long, annoying, irritating-as-hell process of finding running shoes that I like as well as Brooks Glycerin.

Loved the style and the color. However, the width and toe box were so wide that my foot slide from side to side while walking. Therefore I am returning this shoe and going back to my Nike
