I’m amazed. I ordered a half size larger based on reviews, and they are still too short. Big toe hitting. Nice shoe, comfortable in other respects.

I have been a fan of the glycerine 's and Brooks in general. I do like these 17's but overall, I feel that the shoe is a bit narrow and tighter as a whole. I am hoping they stretch out because I do like them. I do wish they fit more like the 15's, which were like walking on clouds, these, are just ok.

Cute design. Narrow fit for average size foot. Toe box is very small.

I have been run big in this shoe for many years. It seems to break down much faster which is frustrating and costly. At the Frankfurt airport as I was traveling to Berlin for the marathon, I was asked by another runner which shoes I ran in. She stated that her group thought the glycerin broke down too fast. Please help the shoe last longer!

I have a narrow foot (2A) and, therefore, have limited choices. The Glycerin 17 fit is good, but there is a bit too much room in the toe box causing unnecessary movement resulting in banged up, sore toenails. I'm wearing 1 1/2 sizes up. I started wearing Glycerin when the Glycerin 9's were available and keep hoping for a perfect fit. The cushioning has improved over the years.

These shoes are the most comfortable new pair of shoes I've worn. I bought a half size larger because I use these for walking and day to day activities. When I want to wear Brooks Glycerin 17 with dressier sports wear, I wear my normal half size smaller. Sharp looking either way. I agree with some reviewers about feeling of lack of cushioning and not as much arch support, i.e. the 17s have a 'flat feel' to them. I think a runner would love them. I wrote the changes off to newer materials and technology. I also see the word 'cushion neutral' on insole. My only comment to Brooks would be to increase cushion, if they continue to get complaints. I have adjusted to any differences I am experiencing with these compared to years of previous models. I like these very much. As for the reviews commenting on toe fabric design, I like the roomier, rounded look and feel. The overall style is gorgeous. So far, so good.

Glycerin is my go-to athletic shoe since version 12. I have found the newer style, with the fabric, to be more comfortable for my problem feet, but not as padded at the forefront of the shoe even when wearing a thicker custom insert. I typically walk or use a treadmill. Nevertheless this has been a good fit overall and would definitely recommend this shoe. This is my second purchase of this style in 6 months.

I don’t have much choice in 11.5 N shoes and decided to try the M as my toes are a bit wide but my heels are very narrow. These felt a bit short and a bit loose in the heel. The style was attractive. The Brooks Adrenaline is a better fit but only one color was available in my size. Don’t think I’d get this model again.

Not as much cushion as the 16. But still a good shoe. I have high arches so out of the box, no arch support for me, need my orthotics. I always size up 1/2 size for running shoes. Good room in the toe box.

Ordered both these and the Adrenaline gts 19s. I own the Adrenaline 14s and they have been the best running shoe ever. I loved the new adrenaline, however I feel as I get older I need a shoe that supports my foot more. Enter the Glycerin 17s. I have a very narrow foot and would have preferred to get a narrow shoe. However they are extremely supportive. The ball of my foot feels supported and it's like I'm floating without there being too much bounce. I like being able to feel the ground still. The overall look and design of this shoe is fantastic. Plenty of support in the heel of the shoe as well. They dont even feel really heavy which is another plus. Would definitely recommend these shoes

These are new to me yet, but they do not dissapoint me as far as cushiony comfort. I don't find them much different from the 16's other than the holes in the leather are slightly bigger than in the 16's, and I don't really care for that. The 16's looked better in that regard. I love Glycerin shoes, though they are a little too expensive.

I ordered wide but they felt the same as the regular width. Not enough room for my bunion. So back they go as well

This is my second pair of Brooks, and Glycerin has proven to be best for my poor feet. Super comfy! Wish women's came in all black (men's do) and had more color choices so I could wear every day!

This is a beautiful shoe, but it was not right for me, so I had to return the pair. My feet are narrow in the heel, but wider in the toe area. This shoe was too roomy in the forefoot, and I felt my toes curling under and gripping the innersole. A better fit for me is Brooks Pure Flow 6 and Pure Flow 7. Unfortunately I don't think Brooks is making the Pure Flow anymore.

I purchased a 1/2 a size up like suggested however my heel kept coming out while walking to test them out. Returned and ordered my normal size- waiting to for the new pair to arrive so I can see if they fit properly.

This shoe offers excellent cushioning, which is what I need for metatarsalgia. Unfortunately, the toe box is large and offered no stability for my forefoot. My forefoot just moved around and felt sloppy. I may try these again in a narrow and maybe a half size smaller, but the shoes I tried went back. Otherwise, an excellent shoe.

Love the fit so far. Still deciding with Zappos 30-Day Runlimited Guarantee. I like the extra cushioning these provide and it seems the more I walk in them, the better they are molding to my feet, can feel more arch support. I am getting a burning sensation in my forefeet, but will keep wearing to see if it will stop. Holding onto them for now.

These shoes fit true to size and I liked the style. They are light weight and for light walking they would probably be okay. Unfortunately I need a lot of cushion in the heel and throughout the sole of the shoe, and even with my orthotics, I didn’t feel there would be enough cushion in the heel for a long day of walking or standing.
For a person without foot issues, this would be a good stylish lightweight shoe.

The black, coral, and purple were pretty but too loud for me. The shoe was cushy and comfy to walk in. I decided they were to wide for me ind the D width. I sent them back. I'm thinking of keeping the same shoe in a B width even though it's a little snug. The fabric is soft and stretches to fit my bunion and I like the more subdued ebony, wild aster, and fig colors. Both pairs of shoes had good arch support. Way better than this years ghost..

Love the comfort in these sneakers. I’ve never worn Brooks before but Runner’s World gave them an excellent rating so I decided to try them. They weren’t wrong. Super comfort. The only downfall is the color availability. I wish these came in a while and silver, a lighter grey or and all white. The dark grey and teal is not awful, but not what I would have preferred. But I will take comfort over style any day!
