Love! I buy every version of glycerin. This one is better than the last. I need high arch, high instep with ample toe volume and forefoot width. But I don’t like my foot to feel like it’s sliding. I need high cushion but I don’t like a mushy sole. THESE ARE PERFECT. The last version had a lower instep height, than previous model. This version got it just right!

This design with nothing but fabric over the front half of the shoe allows the fabric to just sag onto the toes. I wear an 11 wide and the top of the shoe just sits on my toes, there's no vertical clearance. Also there's much less lateral support without the appliques that previous models used to have - the slightest slanting ground and the forefoot wants to just slide right off the base.

This is my third pair of Glycerins and I’m disappointed. My last two pair were Glycerin 16. These feel rock hard on the bottom, very different from the cushion I had in my 16s. I wear these for Jazzercise and jumped around for 80 hours on my last pair. I swear my old pair of 16s still feel more cushiony than these brand new 17s. Also, the laces have been cheapened. They are like ribbons now, rather than the rounded soft laces. The old ones tightened up and stayed tied. These are slippery and came loose after about 15 mins of cardio. The opening to this shoe is wider now, so I have to use the top holes. This restricts movement slightly in the ankle. I’ve worn these for one class so far and may have to consider not using them. It’s sad because I have problem feet and the cushion from the 16s made it so comfortable for jumping and running.

So disappointed. Been wearing Glycerins for 7 years!! The 17s have no reinforcement around the shoelace holes. I’ve torn 2 pairs of shoes.

I am usually a 9.5 in running shoes but I know Brooks, so I always get a size 10 (half size bigger than usual), otherwise I get 'black toenail'. So, that being said, order half a size larger than normal. I am probably THE MOST PICKY person you will meet for shoes and how they fit and feel. I demand excellent arch support, smooth transition, and cushion. This shoe meets my expectations! I was actually shocked when I went for a run with them - they were smooth, rolled and transitioned really well, and the fusion held up for half marathon distance. I am getting a second pair. I am an Ironman triathlete and do many half marathons as well. These shoes are fantastic. My arches are somewhat higher, and my feet are finicky. These are great!

I have morton’s neuroma and a bunion (both from wearing heels all my life with narrow toe box) so needed a wide athletic shoe that provided enough support. These are great. Even my sports trainer noticed that they seem to give my feet more support.

I’ve worn Glycerins for years and miles and never had a problem until the Glycerin 16. The front footbed was hard and felt oddly shaped, like I was standing on some weirdly designed orthotic. I developed foot pain after about two weeks and switched back to one of my Glycerin 15s that weren’t as worn. Finally those 15s are finished so I bought a pair of the 17s. Same problem with that dumb footbed. Returned. Guess what, Brooks? Every change isn’t necessarily an improvement. Sometimes it’s best to leave well-enough alone.

I have been running in the Brooks Glycerin for a while. I use orthotics for arch support, and these sneakers accommodate them well. I don't love the look of these shoes - the sort of webbed black over a bright color - but that is less important to me than feel. I also like how the give in the fabric allows me to tighten or loosen parts of the sneaker to get the most comfortable fit.

I've been wearing Glycerins for a long time. They always give me comfort right out of the box. This version did not disappoint. They seem to have taken the best of prior versions and combined them to make a shoe that should hold up for many miles to come. The arch support is right on target - not too aggressive but definitely supportive. The toe box is wide but not overly boxy. The mesh expands to hug your foot but doesn't sag (not on me anyway) or buckle. There is excellent cushioning in this shoe. It gives a nice bounce without that memory foam feel you get in Skechers, which I find to be like walking on sand. It seems comfy at the beginning, but after a while my whole leg aches. The Glycerins manage to give you the cushy feeling but also the great support you need. The outer sole has so far been holding up well. A few earlier versions gave me issues. I jog on asphalt, and it is hard on soles. These haven't shown any sign of wear. I see that the color I chose (purple/navy/gray) is no longer available. Glad I got them early. Fabulous colors. But ultimately I'd have gotten these shoes in whatever color was left in my size. I know they will serve me well while jogging and look good with jeans for casual wear. I will never have a blister. My knees will not ache. My feet will be happy. You can't go wrong with Brooks Glycerin. They are worth every penny.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but these do run a bit small. I wear a 9 in EVERY other shoe, but need a 9.5 for this shoe each time I buy it. Must be all the awesome cushioning. These feel so incredibly comfortable on. Great support, cushioning... They really have it all. There is a lot to them for cushioning and wrapping your feet in cloud-like comfort, but they are still light. However, they aren't like a "barely there" running shoe if that makes sense.

I always size up half a size in Brooks shoes. The first time I tried on Brooks, I could feel the difference between these and shoes I bought in the past. These have excellent support - my feet don’t hurt after a workout!!! They have a great cushion - I always feel comfortable in them!!! They’re so stylish, too ?

These are the most comfortable gym shoes I've ever owned. There is so much cushioning and support in these while still a ton of room for the toes to spread out while running or lifting weights. Not to mention the color...I have the wild aster/ebony/fig combination, and I love these colors. I wear a lot of grays and purples and these work for my style. I wear a 10 and have moderately wide feet. I tried these in a 10.5 and found the 10 was perfect.

They fit great. These shoes were recommended for my plantar fasciitis. I also went for weekly 30 minute foot massages. Between these shoes and the massages, my fasciitis healed in 6 weeks. They look good and are worth every penny. These are my second pair.

I have been wearing Brooks Glycerine for years. I underpronate (that is, I have a high arch and my feet roll to the outside of my foot) and they would correct my stance. These do not, for some reason. At first I thought that the insole was put in the shoe at an inappropriate angle. But that didn't correct it. I think that it is either a manufacturing or enngineering defect that makes the heel lower on the outside. I don't know that this will be the case on all units. But look for this.

This shoe runs true to size and gives great support. Highly recommend. I used to wear ASICS and switched to Brooks because of ASICS inconsistent sizing. Hope Brooks keeps offering shoes like these and doesn’t mess with a good thing.

I've worn the Glycerin 15 and needed a new pair so I tried the 17. Still great fit and feel. I have run half marathons and have gotten a bruised big toe with other brands. I tried the Glycerin 15 and have not had than problem. The Glycerin 17 is soft but supportive. I am a senior runner (62) so having the extra cushion is good for me!

I recently got back into running after taking a long break due to injury. I went to get fitted and the shoe that felt the most comfortable for my feet and movement was the Glycerin. I must have tried on at least 10 different pairs of neutral shoes, but these were just so cushy and had a nice amount of room in the toe box. I now run in multiple pairs of shoes to cut injury risk, but these are going to be my go-to shoes for longer runs. Longest run in them so far was only around 7 miles, but I had no foot discomfort whatsoever and I've got about 30 miles on them so far without any issues. I feel like I'm slower in these shoes, but that may also be a psychological hurdle. Beyond that, I wish they'd introduce better color combos. My Brooks Levitates are really striking, but these Glyerins are kind of blah and the other color options don't do much for me either.

Great sneaker. I have severe foot issues, to include plantar fasciitis and nerve damage. These, in wide, have been great, even during difficult workouts. They definitely run about a half size small so it's beneficial to size up. I've never owned a comfortable pair of sneaks since experiencing these issues until now. The only negative I found is cost; they're quite expensive but for me, worth it.

So disappointed. I've been wearing Brooks Glycerin for several years now and have loved the shoe. I'm currently using the Glycerin 15, but it is time for a new pair. Unfortunately, Brooks changed the fit on the Glycerin 17s and now the toe box is way to snug for me. Sending them back and heading to a running store to find a new go-to shoe. Bummer.

This is my new go to running shoe since asics ruined nimbus. I am a narrow but this one in medium width gives me room for my inserts and gives my toes wiggle room. I need the extra support of inserts for my plantar fasciitis, but if you don’t have this issue and have flat feet, you are probably fine with the shoe as is. This is my second purchase of this shoe in this model so needless to say I am a fan!

My feet are horrible after working 20+ years in healthcare with areas of osteoarthritis on both feet. I have also developed fat pad atrophy from losing a significant amount of weight (who would’ve thought my feet would hurt worse after losing over 150lbs...) which requires a highly cushioned shoe. I also have little to no arch and wide feet. Shoe shopping is a game of trial and error and frustrating to say the least. On initial try on I had my doubts after having been in Hoka One One’s for the last couple of years with their thick cushioning, but like all shoe manufacturers Hoka changed their design and no longer worked for me. I’m a big fan of the wide toe box of Altra but their design rubs callouses on the base of my 5th metatarsal (I told ya my feet are jacked)! I ordered the Wide in the Glycerin 17 strapped them on and headed out the door for a 12hr night shift. I didn’t think about my feet all night long and that was the first time in a long time I wasn’t aware of some sort of discomfort. I even felt like I had a spring in my step and I was elated! I have never worn any style of Brooks but hit the jackpot on my first go round. I implore Brooks to never change this design and please make more color options for those of us who aren’t blessed with dainty, delicate feet!

This was my third pair of Brooks - I was looking for a lot of cushion and decided to try something different. These caught my eye because they are super cute. That is where the infatuation stopped. They hurt the top of my foot and actually bruised it. Going back to my Ghosts.

I love these! It’s so hard for me to find shoes with enough arch support but these hit the mark. I have high arches and need a supportive shoe for gym workouts on the elliptical and classes. These hit every mark. I also found the fig color surprisingly cute. I do wish they had more colors to choose from in this style. I found them to be at least a half size small if not an entire one.
