Even on the coldest days in the Great Lakes snow-belt the jacket has kept me warm. My previous winter jacket was very thick and heavy so I had some reservations that this Columbia jacket could perform as well. After one long outing into some brisk winter weather I was sold. It really did a great job, even better than my old bulky jacket.
My one annoyance is with the fleece liner. The sleeves of the liner are only attached to the shell by a single loop/button. Every time I put the jacket on my shirt sleeves grab the fleece liner and pull them a good 4"-6" out the end of the jacket sleeve. I'm then left wasting time jamming the fleece back into the jacket. There needs to be a better system for attaching the inner fleece that doesn't allow for it to be pulled through so easily.
Even with that fault the jacket is still a great buy in my opinion.

So glad I made this purchase. The jacket is warm for even the coldest days. I love the fact that the Omni heat material is on the outer shell rather than the inner shell like on my last jacket. Let's me wear the outer shell with a thick hoodie on the weekends and still keep warm when it's not polar cold outside. My one annoyance would be the inner shell sleeves are flannel like fabric that traps my shirt sleeves when putting on. Not a big deal but once you get used to it.

Everyone in my family has this jacket. We are all very happy with them. My only complaint (I have a 4X) is that the sleeves of the outer shell are too narrow/tight. Every time I put the jacket on, the fleece sleeves stick out far beyond the length of the shell sleeves (up to the limit of the snap loop which is supposed to keep the liner sleeve in place). I have to pull in the liner sleeves from the inside while I pull the shell sleeves down from the cuff and struggle to get the shell sleeve in the right place. But it really is a great jacket - especially for the price.

Was looking for a lined pullover anorak but got this at a sale price and I am very happy with the jacket, it's spacious enough to put something underneath, zippers and hood are great, it could be a smidgen longer and available in more colors, thus the 4 stars but I liked the jacket and its sale price enough to buy a second one.

This is a great jacket! It runs true to size. I am 6'5" around 290lbs. The 2XT fits just right if not a tad long. Surprisingly warm for being so thin! My only complaint is that the interior sleeves of the fleece are not lined which makes it difficult to get the jacket on and off over long sleeves. Otherwise Perfect!

This jacket is super comfortable and fits very well. Keeps me warm just wearing the liner down to upper 20's. My only grip which knocked a star off the review is the lack of a lining in the arms of the fleece liner. When wearing dress shirts it makes it very hard to put the liner on without bunching up the sleeves of the shirt you're wearing. All together a warm comfortable jacket though.

This is my second Bugaboo jacket. I loved the first but wanted a change of color. I order larger sizes and wish there was a red or other colors as women where large sizes also. In addition I wish there were more pockets inside. A cell phone pocket that isn't above the breast. It is hard to store a cell phone. I do love the idea of the 2 coats. Living in IL, the weather changes from day-to-day and it makes it very convenient to remove the inside coat. Do have trouble with inside coat pulling out of sleeve when wearing a flannel shirt and it is hard to pull back in.

So far this is a very warm jacket. I have to make sure that the very last thing I do before going out in the cold is zip it up. Zip it up too soon and it gets hot fast. I wear this on my morning walk, been down to about 15 so far, and I stay toasty warm. The only detractor is the inner liner makes it just about impossible to wear with a long sleeve t-shirt.

I bought this to replace a 9 yr old Bugaboo. I'm a big guy that is 6'3". The outer shells are always nice. The proportions are a little strange. First of all over 9 years, either the jackets slowly shrinks, or I slowly got bigger. Columbia must think that someone of my size has arms that nearly reach my knees when standing. With my arms to my side, the sleeves cover all by the very tips of my fingers. For my only real beef with the jacket (fleece) is the size of the cuffs of the arms, and the fact that it doesn't have any elastic or any other way to synch the cuff down. Combined with the extraordinary length of the arms, it make it hard to wear the fleece in a more casual way. Push the sleeves up, and they simply fall back down.
With that being said, I am looking forward to having the coat this winter when temps usually get down to 10 degrees or lower. I just don't think the fleece with be that usable when not being worn with the shell.

The color is a little darker than the picture on the light blue jacket.

So let's get the bad out of the way, with the Omni-heat fleece liner in it, the sleeves on this jacket get far too tight. Other than a compression type under layer I can't wear anything long sleeve underneath. That said, I'm a big guy (6'5" 390lbs) so your experience may vary.
That said, this jacket rocks! It is excellent in the whole range of rated temps without being heavy, the shell is waterproof and completely stops the wind and I love the removable hood b/c most times I don't like hoods, but it's great to have when venturing out in really cold/stormy conditions.
Overall I rate this an excellent value for the price.

Overall, it's a great product. The detailing is solid, and more than I anticipated. However, it wasn't clear that a "hood" was a part of the ensemble, so to use the jacket as a whole apparently requires that I have a hood unless I remove the layers to accommodate as such. In the visuals and descriptors, I may have missed the integrated hood (which, for my purposes, I do not need). Yet again, it's a great product overall.

We should have taken former reviewers to heart. This is a nice jacket, but DEFINITELY not as warm as the previous models of it.
The sleeves are nice and long and the pockets are great.

Bought this jacket for my husband who is 6'2". He loves it! He loves that it is longer because he is tall, that it's lightweight, and not only keeps him warm but blocks the wind.

I used to have a Bugaboo interchange jacket when I lived in Alaska many years ago and loved it. I bought the new version of this jacket recently and wore it to an outdoor NFL game. It was about 30 degrees outside with a blowing wind, definitely below freezing temps. Wearing a long sleeve undershirt and sweatshirt underneath, the jacket held up and kept me pretty warm for the most part over 6-7 hours. However, I think I needed an extra layer to be as warm as expected with this jacket. Lots of room for many layers as this jacket runs large. I had hoped it would have been warmer given the hype of the new reflective liner, but I wasn't "over-the-top" impressed. Hope this helps.

My husband is 6'3" so the extra length is nice. Would have preferred a medium but that was not available in tall. Warm but not heavy or bulky.

What a great jacket. It's my second go-around on this style and it did not disappoint. I'm 6'6" 265 lbs and I bought the 2X-Tall. I feel like it's just a bit long. The inside solar panel works well. I just wish they attached a outlet cable to charge my cell phone when I'm out and about. Come on R&D...lets get that done!

I ordered this as a real cold weather jacket. it arrived in a padded envelope so I was surprised at how thin it is. I haven't worn it in really cold weather yet, so I cant really tell you yet, but on the one not so cold day I wore it, I wasn't exactly heating up in it.
I am somewhere between a 3xlt and a 2xlt and this seems big all around. the jacket has a zipped in liner like a fleece and the sleeves on the fleece are longer than the coat sleeves and just a button holds them in place.
it's a fine jacket, but so far I am not thinking, wow great jacket.

This was a little small in the shoulder area, but the company was great and let me exchange for another item.
