This is my first winter coat from Columbia, it was a little pricey, but it's still a decent coat. I wish the hood was insulated.

Positive review, review, review. A bit of advice; do not place a minimum requirement for a review. It annoys customers

Very nice coat. However we did send back as husband has Parkinson's and was hard for him to get on and off.

Runs a bit tight in the body and arms, compared with other brands' XLTs.
Fleece liner sleeves are longer than the shell's sleeves and thus hang below!
Otherwise, well made, functional, practical.

When I 1st received this jacket I realized I purchased the wrong size. It too big but I was like I can deal with that. I also thought this jacket is way to thin to keep my warm especially when the wind starts blowing. But I was pleasantly surprised and glad to be wrong for once. I actually find that I leave the jacket unzipped to keep from getting to hot. Very happy with this purchase!

We went to Winter Park, Co. and the jacket was great! Hood was a little difficult to adjust. Price was reasonable.

I bought this recently and took it to Spain for a biz trip at the end of December. Weather can be anything from sunny and 60 to 20's with snow and everything in between. In fact, we had just about everything you can think of. The jacket did exactly what I needed on any given day without the need to carry multiple jackets. My only complaint is the silver lining. It sort of makes you stick out in the crowd when I prefer to blend in when traveling abroad. It's just one of those personal security things that people who have been traveling globally for years think about. This is why only four stars otherwise a great product that performs as advertised.

This jacket is a perfect fit for my tall college-age son. The three different ways it can be worn will be great for him this winter. The color (graphite) was significantly lighter than the picture shows on the website. It is a fairly light grey jacket and the inner fleece part is a very, very light grey, not at all what we were expecting. However, the black was sold out by the time we received it, so he is keeping it because it is not easy to find a warm winter coat for someone who is so tall!

I recently purchased this jacket to keep me warm and comfortable against the cold Wisconsin winters. I sometimes have difficulty finding a jacket that will fit me appropriately. I'm a big and tall kind of guy and can't stand sleeves and hemlines that are too short. After reading various reviews, I decided to take the plunge and make the purchase. Overall, it is a great jacket and very warm to wear. It definitely keeps the cold out and the heat in. The appearance is great. I purchased Navy Blue which appeared very dark on the website but in reality is not quite so dark which is perfect for me. The jacket fits mostly true to size. I should say, the jacket fits very true to size with the exception of the sleeves., and in this case, it's not because they are too short (in fact they are absolutely the perfect length#. I know other jackets and reviews offer the same complaint that Columbia's jacket sleeves are simply too small around. This jacket matches that description. Wearing a sweater or thicker shirt under the jacket requires you to hold your shirt sleeve while pushing your arm through. Also, you can feel a general snugness in the arms particularly in the bicep areas. Now, I am by no means a body builder with huge muscular arms, and nor do I have disproportionally large arms due to being big and tall. I've not had difficulties with the diameter of sleeves in the past except with the two current Columbia jackets I own #I say current because I owned a Columbia Bugaboo jacket years ago that I absolutely loved and didn't have this problem either). Ultimately, I am keeping the jacket and I wear it daily, but sleeve diameter is definitely an area for Columbia to improve.

Quality jacket but I didn't like the design. The liner is held in with buttons so when I put it on, it didn't stay in place. The end result was the arms of the liner sticking out past the jacket.

Nice jacket, but giving it 3 stars because the inner fleece jacket's sleeves need to be lined with something a bit slippery. Every time I tried to put it on while wearing a long sleeve shirt my sleeves got all bunched up because they caught on the fleece fabric inside the sleeves.

So far I am satisfied with the Jacket BUT I would recommend lining the sleeves with the same material used on the shoulders. The sleeves of my shirt tend to want to stick to the fleece and therefore pull the sleeves of the fleece liner out near my wrist. I ordered a 3X when I usually wear a 2X shirt size and it fit perfect.

The jacket itself looks great and the LT size was perfect for me. The fleece interchange jacket has some issues that Columbia Sportwear needs to take back to the drawing board. I've worn Columbia jackets for the past 25 years, starting with my first Titanium jacket. That fleece interchange jacket was the standard that should have been continued to this date. The cuffs were adjustable, the sleeves were lined, and the bottom hem of the jacket had elastic. The current fleece interchange has none of these and makes the fleece interchange jacket feel like a cheap thing thrown together to put inside of the Bugaboo to make it 3-in-1.

Way too big. My son is 6'4" and he was swimming in the tall large size.

It's much lighter weight than I had imagined for the price. It's more like a windbreaker, with a lightweight fleece liner. The description said you could wear the jacket, the fleece, or both together. When I ordered, the 2 in 1 concept sounded great as my work requires me to be in and out and I need to dress in layers to adapt to different temps. But in practice, the fleece is only attached at the zipper, so it bunches up and takes a lot of adjusting and straightening out. The sleeves of the fleece pull out from the sleeves of the jacket when removed, and when putting it on, the fleece sleeves sometimes extend way beyond the cuff. The collar bunches up and the back of the fleece rides up to the middle of your back. So you spend a lot of time trying to reach up behind your back to yank the back of the fleece down, or tugging inside the shoulder to try to pull the inner sleeves up inside the jacket sleeves. When you wrestle everything into place, it is comfortable and looks good.

This jacket seems a lot bigger than other L-tall items I have purchased. It is warm enough, but the zipper is awfully thin so I wonder if it will hold up.

I got this to replace my old 3 in 1 that had seen better days. When I first put it on I noticed the liner arms 'drag' on my cotton shirt, causing the liner to bunch and hang out beyond the cuff where it will get wet plus just getting shifted around in the shell requiring pulling and tugging on the liner to get it riding right... Within the first week the liner hung on my shirt and bunched up as I took it off. I yanked my arm out only to discover the liner's attachment point had pulled the shell's liner stitching loose at the cuff! I still have the old 3 in 1 liner. the difference is that the old liner arms are lined with a slippery fabric (nylon?) and the new one has NO lining in the liner's arms, BOOO! Luckily, the old liner fits the new shell so I zipped it in and now it goes off and on easily, I guess I'll use the new liner as a fleece. This is an oversight by Columbia AND some poor quality when the shell liner stitching fails so easily, the old one was tough and easy to wear; the new one not so much out of the box...

While the removable liner is truly fantastic, the outer shell is terrible.

The overall construction of the jacket is good, as are the materials used. I was disappointed to discover that the main zipper is NOT a double zipper, which limits the wearer easily adjusting the jacket in going, for example, from the outdoors to driving a car. Also, the fleece inner jacket is warm, but should include some type of liner to make it easier to slip the whole jacket on over even a light sweater.

This was to be the jacket of my dreams. Right color, right size, right price. But right off the bat I had trouble putting on this jacket. The liner sleeve, only anchored to the shell sleeve in one spot, caught on the fabric of my flannel shirt and was pushed out the end of the shell. After a good deal of manipulation I finely got my arm in the sleeve and the liner back in place. Then I had to do the same with the other sleeve. Not what I expected.
Also, this jacket is not warm especially across the shoulders. It stops the wind great but does not hold ones body warmth. I'm now forced to put on a sweatshirt, a second liner if you will, to get the warmth I had expected. And taking the jacket of is no picnic either. One must grab the liner sleeve before withdrawing ones arm. Otherwise the liner will walk up the shell sleeve with your arm. Perhaps a couple of additional anchors at the sleeve end would be helpful. Our winters here in Maine are harsh with weeks at a time being in the single digits or sub zero. I thought Columbia had this covered. My mistake.

I bought this in L tall and compared it with other 2
3-in-1 snowboard jackets from other brands that I own and aren't tall sizes. Those 2 jackets are XL (not tall), and the were the exact same dimensions as this jacket. I was looking for a slimmer fit and longer sleeves but I got the same wide jacket with sleeves that don't fit me well (my arms are long).
Also, the sleeves are super loose and the inner jacket didn't feel as warm as I thought it'd be.
I returned this item for the reasons stated above.

I purchased this coat as a replacement for a 28 year old Nevica ski coat. While I like the design of the coat and appreciate the ample number of pockets, it is simply not warm enough for me. This is especially surprising considering it has Omniheat. In my trials of the coat going outside in 20 degree weather, I was getting cold after being outside for less than 10 minutes, especially in the shoulders, arms, and lower waist. In comparison, I can be outside for well over 30 minutes in my Nevica coat without getting cold.
Unfortunately, I will be returning this coat.

Jacket is nice quality, good materials, sturdy stitching, and overall true to the Columbia brand. However, there are two items I would change if I could. First, if you want to make a spectacle of yourself in public, then is this the coat for you! Be aware that the interior lining of the fleece is a bright and shiny foil like material. I am a bit self-conscious when removing it at a restaurant or sporting event. The gleaming splendor of the inside of this coat is hard to miss by anyone nearby. Second, it is weird, but the forearms of this jacket are a bit small, while the rest of the coat is a great fit. And by no means do I have forearms like Popeye. It makes putting the jacket on while wearing long sleeves difficult. Your shirt sleeve tends to anchor itself to the gloriously bright foil interior of the jacket sleeve, and drags a full 3 to 4 inches of the fleece jacket cuff out of the outer shell of the sleeve. But hey, if you are the type that doesn't mind fiddling around and readjusting yourself for a minute or two before you depart, then is this the jacket for you!
