I purchased this jacket for my husband but the zipper is to flimsy. My husband wore it a couple of times and the zipper came apart at the bottom. So bummed because now we have to return it. It was my husbands first Columbia jacket but...........I don't think he will want another one unfortunately.

Columbia zippers are horrible now, I specially looked at the pic for the big toothed zipper, they shipped the little tooth zippers which FAIL!

For the amount of money being spent this jacket cheaply made and very thin.

this jacket replaced my old heavy Bugaboo coat. The New is lighter in weight and not as warm.
The zipper breast pockets are now closed with Velcro strips, not as easy to work as the zippers.
The liner sticks out about 2 inches past the end of the coat arm.

Should have trusted the other reviews I read prior to placing my order. Weirdest fitting coat I've ever tried on. Sleeves are RIDICULOUSLY tight while the width of torso was comically huge. At 6'4", 190 lbs, the fitting guide suggested that a Large Tall would be a perfect fit. I'm having trouble imagining the human with a fat enough torso and skinny enough arms that this coat would fit.
Secondarily, the coat closes with velcro strips running the length of the opening. I shudder to think how that would have snagged every article of clothing for the life of the coat. Even if the fit were possible, I would have returned this coat based on that crazy velcro. You should really disclose that in the product description to avoid unnecessary returns.

Inside lining looks like foil. Bought for my son to wear at college. Will be returning. Would have been better if lining was fleece.

I had to return this jacket because of the terrible fit.
The main issue is that the arms are incredibly small. I do not consider myself to have particularly muscular arms, but even while wearing only dress shirt, it is very difficult to get my arms in the sleeves. Even after I do, movement is extremely restrictive since the arms are so tight. Trying to wear this jacket with a sweatshirt, or other heavy clothing would be totally impossible because the sleeves are so small in diameter.
Also, I can't believe a jacket of this type does not have a double zipper.
I have had two Columbia jackets prior to this one, which have served me long and well for nearly twelve years. They always fit perfectly (sleeves are much larger), and have provided exceptional service. I can't believe a company with such a long tradition of fine outerwear would produce a jacket with such an obvious flaw.
