This is about as good as it gets, if you're looking for pronation correction and cushion! A great fit, from heels to toes, and plenty of cushion in the forefoot/ball of the foot - for a change! Just has that feeling of a well-made shoe, not cheap.

I love these shoes, I've tried other brands and keep coming back to Brooks and this particular shoe has taken good care of my feet. When I'm out and about I usually end the day with very achy feet and lower back but with these shoes I only have some discomfort at the end of the day.

This shoe fits as described and fit me well. But it aggravated, through no fault of the shoe, one of my many foot pecularities and i have to send them back.

I have been wearing Brooks Ariel shoes for several years. They are a perfect fit and take no breaking in. You can put them on and wear an entire day. Zappos makes ordering and returning a breeeze which makes me a return customer. I have even ordered shoes for mom who lives in a nursing home across the country and am able to return and reorder a perfect size. Thank you for such great customer service. Marion

I have issues with plantar fasciitis and need supportive shoes. I have been a Brooks fan for many years and these are my new favorite. Provide strong support, comfortable, and love the purple shoelaces - adds a little fun.

I have dancers feet, Morton’s Neuroma, metatarsalagia, huge bunions (4 5/16 inch across on right foot and 4 1/4 on left) and high arches. This shoe has a wide toe box and wonderful arch support and cushioning! Yes Brooks! I ordered my usual size of 7.5 extra wide in these and the width is perfect. The length feels good as well, however, my heel slips. I’ve tried about thirty pair of shoes so far and at this point am thinking I may have to compromise. Not sure what to do. There really aren’t many options left. I used to be a huge New Balance fan but lately Brooks have been better in the comfort as well as design of their shoes although I must say I’m not a fan of the hot pink accents on this shoe. This is not a shoe for ladies with slender, narrow feet.

Fit is perfect, support, cushion, everything. I have foolishly tried for years to find another cheaper brand that will be as good as Brooks, but I am now convinced - Brooks is the best, especially for a wide foot overpronator. Only complaint - cloth material seems to get less sturdy, but not a big deal.

One of the best sneakers for over pronators. This version of the Ariel sneaker has a wider toe area and is very comfortable. There’s room for orthotics if you remove the insert.

This is my 3rd pair of Ariel 18. Amazing comfort, with great support. I’m sure I’ll buy another pair in the future.

They fit like the 12’s did. I bought them in 7 1/2 Wide & they fit perfect with no break in period.

I loved this shoe! It had the support I needed; however, the tongue on the left shoe hurt my foot. I exchanged the shoe for another pair exactly like this pair, and I immediately had the same problem. Something is terribly wrong with the tongue on the left shoe. I finally returned both and have ordered the Adrenaline 19. I hope it has the same support with out the pain from the left tongue. Customer service from Zappos is outstanding. They wanted me to be happy! This is why I only shop Zappos for my shoes.

Love Brooks! I run about 15 miles a week, use my Brooks only for running, and replace them about every 6 months. In my 40s with fragile knees and these are the only reason I'm still able to run without injury. I started with the Addiction, but when my knees got very bad, I switched to the Ariel and they are great. Brooks run narrow and small. I order a full size larger and a wide width. I have to use the very last eyelet hole to make sure my foot stays pulled back, otherwise my feet go numb. The Ariel '18 seems lighter in weight to me than the previous Ariel. Great right out of the box and I've logged 20 miles with them so far. :)

I've been buying Brooks Ariel for more than 15 years, and they are consistently great. These shoes are no exception. Great arch support (I pronate, so this is essential), very sturdy, and snug without being too tight. Insoles are removable, too, so you can replace them with your own orthotics if desired. My only beef is with the laces (they seem a little more slippery and short than I'm used to, so I hope they'll be sturdy) and the COLORS (the ones available here are sooooo boring). Those are minor concerns about an overall superior running shoe!

Great fit right out of the box! I ordered these and the GTS 19 which fit fine. However, there is no comparison. The Ariels'18 are amazing!

I love this shoe. I wore them for an 8 hour shift as soon as I received them. No “break in” time needed. They are bulking but I feel that’s the nature of a shoe for those who over-pronate.

The fit was perfect with my orthotics! I couldn’t wait to put them on because I’d worn out my old ones and felt lopsided. I like the grey with that pop of pink. I also liked that they came with the laces tied. Just had to put them on and off I went.

The first pair I ordeeed were too big although a 9.5 is what I always order from Brooks. Just got the 9’a and just right. Have to send the other pair back and when these go down in price, I’ll order a second pair!

I first ordered my regular size 9 but they were a bit big so I ordered an 81/2 and they fit better. I like the style and color. Very comfortable. I have several foot problems and these take care of all of them. I have been wearing Brooks for at least 5 years. Nothing compares to them.

Brooks Ariel '18 are super comfy, true to size, width & offer great support. I am a long distance runner with wide front feet and am recovering from neuropathy in my feet as a side effect from transplant surgery/anti-rejection medication...So....an extra wide toe box is a must have for me. I've always loved Brooks and this do not disappoint. As I tackle my plan to rejoin my running journey, I'm glad I've got Brooks beside me all the way. Best Ariel to date. I’ve been wearing this brand and style since 2012 and I think they are the best shoe! And the 18’s are very comfortable and they just keep improving with every new style. I’m ordering the new color for the 18’s.

I love my Brooks. This was the only style available in the Ariel and this was it. When I received I didn’t like all the lack in the soles of the shoe. Other than that I love them
