I love these shoes and especially this style. I bought a pair about a year ago and they were not as good as this pair. I was afraid Brook's had changed the last on the shoe. I bought this pair and they were back to perfect. I get the EE because I have a wide foot. these shoes are comfy and light weight. They are pricey but worth every penny to me.

All good on this wonderful sneaker, from the first moment I put them on!!!

I ordered the same size Ariel as my other shoes are. Comfort and fit was perfect from the first time I put them on. The black and thistle color fits with my wardrobe very well. Excellent support for walking. I would definitely buy them again.

I have flat feet and this shoes are so comfortable for my feet and excellent to support my arch.

This is my 5th pair of the same shoes. So glad they finally came out with an alternate color for us DOuble EEs!

These shoes are super supportive. I have really bad feet and had major surgery on my right foot this year. These shoes are stiff and somewhat heavy but are the only shoes that provide enough support for me to walk comfortably. I love them! Wish someone would build this support into a leather street shoe instead of a running shoe.

Initially I was in agreement with some critical reviews about the '18 not fitting as well as the '16 but I've changed my mind. The toe box needed more room and so the '18s are better for me. However, the heel area IS loose but I've compensated for that by threading the laces through the very last eyelets near the ankle and pulling the laces as tight as possible. If you are a pronator, you need lots of ankle support and you can get it by tightening the laces. Also, I'm finally happy with the new shark color. It's a gray with a very subtle pinkish/taupe cast. I also like the very soft light green accents- the areas of the green accents that are metallic have a grayed out/silverish sheen which helps tone down the color so it ends up looking quite neutral. Thankfully, the white color along the outer sole sides has been replaced with gray. I detested the old garish colors of the '16s and even the gray/pink '18 isn't great. Brooks, please continue to focus on softer/subtler/neutral/darker colors. If you are a petite youngun with cute small feet you can pull off the bright whites and bold colors but for the older set, that look is all wrong. These are my only comfortable shoes! I have heel- only insert orthotics which I use in dress shoes and can tolerate for brief periods. The Ariel provides the structure- some might call it stiff-that I need -as well as cushioning. Keep up the good work Brooks!

Love these Brooks!! Tried several other styles and these are worth the investment. On feet all day walking. Immediately felt the support in my legs, knees and back! Highly recommend

This sneaker was suggested to me by my physical therapist and it was a great suggestion. I buy the shoe 1/2 size larger so my orthotic fits in, and it's perfect. I don't even need a wider sneaker, so when the laces are tied, the shoe hugs my arch. The toe box is important for this too, so that the orthotic fits. And the base of the sole is so wide, providing the stabilization I need for my ankle. Most other sneakers do not have this wide base; when you turn the sneaker over and compare, it's clearly made for this.

My doctor recommended Brooks shoes because of the support I need. I had to order 2 different sizes to accomodate a left ankle brace. I'd be happy to send to anyone needing the alternate Brooks Ariel 18's: Left shoe size 9 wide & Right shoe size 10 extra wide. I hate to see these brand new wonderful shoes go to the land fill.

I have a bunion on my left foot and the wider toe box allows me to walk and exercise with no pain. I also have hip muscle and leg muscle issues and when I put these on, I am pain free because of the excellent arch support.
