I am usually 7.5 wide but I ordered the next size larger extra wide. The fit was perfect but I have to return it because my arch is sore from all the rubbing on the padding even with the socks on. Also when walking, I felt I am walking undersupinated. Nice shoe though.

These are the coolest shoes. The color is every bit as nice as the photos online. The style is nice too. However, the width is too narrow right at the widest part of my toe area. I'm returning them for a wider shoe because everything else about them is super cool. Can't wait to get the right size and wear them.

These shoes feel like a hug for a my feet, especially now that I've broken them in as at first they were a bit narrow. I love changing into them after a long day of work on my feet and it's instant relief for my joints. I had my ankle fused and I love it's so easy to use my orthotic inserts in my Hokas. I wish there were more neutral colors! Overall I would buy again, I'm willing to trade a little fashion for comfort and for the price point they have a lot of great features. I used a water repellent spray on them and been wearing them in the snow and have not slipped once and my feet have strayed dry. It's only been about a month so can't say much about durability, but I've worn them nearly every day and they're even more comfortable than when I bought them.

I am a regular runner and have worn Hoka Cliftons through many models. I like Hoka because I strike on my heel first and these shoes help me manage years of plantar fasciitis. The new 5s run bigger than the Clifton 4. I took an 8.5 in the 4 and take an 8 in the newer model. The 8 is a little snug but the 8.5 swallowed my foot. Like several other reviewers have noted, the cushioning breaks down fast in Hokas...in 3 months of daily use they will need to be replaced, thus the 4 stars.

I love these shoes. They have great cushion for my plantar fasciitis. They have arch support as well. All things I’m supposed to need to aid in the healing. However, with the a arch support it throws off my hips and causes back pain. I’m in kinda of a pickle when it comes to shoes right now and getting very frustrated due to constant plantar pain.

The Clifton 4 only lasted a few months, it otherwise the shoe is great. I use custom orthotics. Cushion really lessens my knee pain.

This is a great running shoe with right amount of support and yet lightweight. I'm wearing it 5 times a week for 8-10 mile runs. Love it!

I loved my original Hoka Clifton's, as the toe box was wide. I don't have a wide foot but scrunchy toes aka hammer toes and wide ball of the foot. The original models had a nice wide toe box, sadly Hoka decided to narrow the toe box. I switched to Altra's due to the wider natural foot box. They're not my loves as my Hokas were. Please go back to the original model for toe box; I want desperately to come back to Hokas!

Love the look. Want but the fit was just a little too snug across the toes. Wider not available or I would exchange.

These came highly recommended by a nurse who told me that everyone wears them at her place of work. I ordered my usual size but found this shoe to be larger. I wear custom orthotics and found that with the orthotic in it raised my foot up to the point were my toes rubbed on the top. Not as much room in the toes as other brands. I wanted to love them, but they just weren't the right fit for me.

I work in a hospital environment with long shifts, resulting in Plantar fasciitis. Podiatrist recommended these so i got them. Have they worked for my heel pain? Yes. Do they feel like my socks are balled up in my shoe? Oh yes! Would i keep wearing them until they break me in? Yes but Im not enjoying the experience.

I have loved my Clifton 3 one 4's---But the 5 seems to have a narrower toe box. I do have arthritic left MTP joint! but these are just too tight and i am feeling i need to return. A wide would fall off my heels

I felt like this shoe was true to size; however, the toe box was too tight and rubbed my pinky toe. For this reason, they were returned.

The Hoka Clifton 5 is slightly narrower and has less midfoot volume than the Clifton 4. I wear thick cushioned full length orthotics in all of my Hokas. I usually wear a size 10-10.5B in all Hoka models. I found I needed a wide width to accommodate the ball of my foot comfortably. The cushioning is firmer than the soft cushioning Hoka used to be known for in the beginning. The rocker sole provides adequate ball of foot protection and quick turnover. The upper is much improved and there are no hot spots or rough edges. The shoes are very light weight and breath better than previous models. If I could change one thing it would be to make the cushioning softer and more shock absorbent. Unfortunately, Hoka One One has been moving away from the extra soft cushioning that Hoka became known for when it debuted its first models.

I bought these for a trip to Italy, where I knew I would be walking nonstop/all day. These were the absolute best! They are very light shoe, my feet felt very secured in them.
I recommended them to both my mom and sister, they both bought pairs the next day!

These are really nice tennis shoes. I already own a pair of the Bondi 6 which has a lot more cushioning. I am 71 and use tennis shoes mainly for walking. I have a lot of pain in the balls of my feet and these shoes did not have enough cushioning for me. Guess I will need to stick with the Bondi 6. It has the maximum cushioning I need.

I purchased this shoe to help with knee pain that I've started to have. The cushion feels amazing. Unfortunately the shoe gave me blisters on both feet.

My boyfriend has a pair of Bondi 6 and Bondi 5 that he loves. I tried the Bondi but it did not work for me so I wanted to try another model of Hoka One One shoes. I tried the Cavu and was not impressed and now I have tried the Clifton 5 and am not impressed. I could get Brooks Ghost 11 and my favorite Saucony Triumph ISO 5 for the same sale price. Hands down not the same quality and I was disappointed.
