These shoes are very comfortable for standing on cement for work. Like walking on pillows! My feet didn't bother me at the end of the day. I definitely recommend Hoka shoes.

I ran in college and run anywhere from 30 to 50 miles in a week. I developed Achilles Tendinitis this last winter and wasn't able to run for 3 months! Once I was able to start training again I decided to try something new because I used to refuse to wear anything other than Brooks. These Hokas changed my life! My legs have never felt so good and I haven't had Achilles pain since I made the switch. I just wish I had known about them sooner!

This is my first pair of Hokas. I have a wide toe box and many foot problems So glad to see in a wide although hardly any 91/2 wides in stock. I have a recently fractured toe and these shoes take all the pressure off the forefoot. The most comfortable of any shoe I have tried. I am already trying to find another. This is my podiatrist's number one choice. Please carry more wides and esp 91/2/

I require a running shoe that has heavy cushioing but is lightweight. This shoe did not disappoint. I received and ran a 5K the next day in them and they felt great on my feet. True to size.

I was skeptical about all the cushioning of Hoka shoes because I like to run fast. I do run long distance so I was intrigued and bought the Clifton after a recommendation by Tina Muir on the Running4Real podcast. These shoes never had to be broken in, they don't feel clunky but are light and comfortable for fast miles or long or slow or whatever workout is required. I bought the Wide because I need a wide toe box like
many women out there and what was nice is the shoe is not wide in the correct places such as by the ankle.

They are a little snug and I don't have a particularly wide foot but other than that they are the most spongy, cushioned shoes that I have ever worn.

I have arthritis in my feet and ankle, making walking painful. However, the Hoka One One CLIFTON 5 is so comfortable, it feels energizing! I can walk 10,000 steps nearly pain free! This is really a life changing shoe for me. Also, I love the color and style. I highly recommend this shoe and I will be sticking with Hoka One One forever!

I recently started running more frequently, but was having a horrible time with shin splints. I first tried the Clifton 4 and they helped a bit with the pain, but then the Clifton 5 came out so I decided to give these a try and they're amazing! They took a little breaking in, but they have completely eliminated my shin pain. They seem to run really narrow, however, as I have never had to buy a wide width in any other type of shoe except the Cliftons.

Just ran in my new Clifton 5's today and I can't believe how light it is! For some reason, it feels a lot lighter than the previous version. I felt like I was flying during my run! Great fit and was true to size. It's perfect for individuals with a neutral gait, who's looking for a narrower shoe. The toe box tapers in and gives it a sleeker look than before. I also like the upper mesh which provides better breathability. Overall, I love the Clifton 5 and look forward to running my next half marathon in these shoes!

First, Hoka One One makes neutral support shoes. If you are looking for arch support, try another brand. That said, I have been wearing the Hoka Clifton's since the first generation, and these are my new faves! I loved the 3's and stocked up on my size when I knew they were going to be retired and replaced by the 4's. I did go through two pair of the 4's, and was so disappointed with them. I had a feeling that Hoka was listening to all of the common complaints and negative reviews about the 4's and I hoped the 5's would be a much improved Clifton. These babies do not disappoint!! Hoka's excellent cushioning with a supportive framework and exceptionally responsive mid-sole, made for an awesome run fresh out of the box. I run 25-30 miles weekly on streets, trail, gravel and the soles on these are seemingly more durable than past generations. I wear a size 10 street shoe, but have found the 10.5 in Hoka to be perfect for me. I am ordering several pair to keep in my rotation!

I took a chance and bought these in 11. I usually wear 12 in asics and most other runners, but these fit fine. And the comfy, cushioney-ness of these shoes are out of this world!

This is a neutral shoe and takes a few times of wearing the shoe to break it in as you’d swear there was an arch support in it. It tends to soften up with time. It feels a lot like the Clifton 4 but the toe box is maybe a tiny bit wider and isn’t quite as tapered on the end as the Clifton 4. I’m still a big fan of the Clifton 3 and was hoping it was closer to it but it is more like the Clifton 4.

I love these shoes ! I had hip replacement. These are like orthopedic tennis shoes. When I first stepped in them I smiled because I knew these were going to work !! I bought 6 pair of Saucony shoes and sent them all back. That was my favorite shoe until these.ittle puppies came along . My back feels great and due to the hip replacement I am walking more evenly.
If I had to pick one thing I am not fond of, is the styling.. They look orthopedic ,but would gladly trade style for comfort. These I bought and were a half size too big. I was surprised. I love my shoes anyway.

I'll admit I was a Hoka skeptic for a long time; I tried them on years ago and they seemed inflexible and unwieldy. But the older I get, the more cushion I need, so I decided to open my mind and give this shoe a chance. I also don't normally write reviews, but the Clifton 5 is THAT good. I've had a history of injuries that occasionally come back to haunt me, and this shoe has been a game-changer. In 2012, I fractured the cuboid bone in my left foot, and in 2016, I fractured a bone spur on my heel (neither break was running-related) -- but I don't feel a thing in these shoes! So far, I am running about 4-5 miles 3-4 times a week in them, and every mile is terrific. In terms of running-related injuries, I've had IT band problems and hamstring issues in the past, and there's no trace of those pains either. In addition, I need the women's wide width, and even in a wide, certain uppers and overlays can be really uncomfortable. However, unlike with some other running shoe brands, the D width in the Clifton 5 is actually wide, and the upper doesn't press uncomfortably on the sides or tops of my feet. Yay! They really do make me feel like I'm flying and give me hope that I can train for a third marathon.
