Love the shoe!

These shoes are well made comfortable and so light weight that you do not feel like taking them off. I have these for when I am going to be going for a walk.

I have a pair of Clifton 4’s and those took me awhile to get used to, but not these ones...they felt great right out of the box! And the Clifton 4’s always felt slippery if I stepped in a puddle of water while running; the 5’s don’t seem to have that problem!

Too narrow??

I've been wearing the Clifton 3s for a while and they needed replacing. I read a lot of bad reviews about the 4 and was worried the toe box would be too narrow so I waited. I like the 5s quite a bit. I think the toe box might be a tad narrower than the Clifton3, but they are nice and deep and I feel like I have plenty of room for my orthotic. I have skinny feet, with narrow heels. I have a form of congenital arthritis of the big toe (Hallux Limitus), which means the top of my big toe joints are tender with small bunions. So I need a generous toe box and these fit the bill. I like the color selections better than in the past--I'm 60 and did not like the neon orange, etc. I still don't find these attractive, but comfort is priority. I also purchased a New Balance 840v4 and while the toe box was also good on that one, there was less cushioning overall so I'm returning it.

Great looking and well constructed shoes, disappointed that my orthotics don't work with these.

I have terrible plantar fasciitis and am on my feet all day; walking 5 miles or more while at work. These are amazing shoes. Right out of the box they were comfortable and supportive with a roomy toe box. I have a narrow heel and wider toe box and these shoes are exactly what I need. After wearing these for 15 hours my feet felt great. Which is VERY rare. Recommend these for anyone with foot issues who need support.

I need strong support from an old metarsal overuse and I have learned to have good supportive sneakers - I learned that if you have a hard time flipping/bending the front of the sneaker then its good support. I tried Hoka to replace my Saucony and found them to fit right off - no breaking in period. Awesome sneaker - only used for a week so far but no residual problems.

Love the additional cushion in the sole of this shoe. I put my custom orthotic in and can wear these all day without issues. Will definitely be getting more Hoka One One shoes in the future
