Took them out and no break-in required. Size 10.5 fits like a glove and I am such a big fan of waterproof, breathable, comfortable hiking shoes. Actual fit and weight are much better than Merrel's I just wore out. Had a pair of these a few years back, shoulda bought two + pairs. Did I say they were comfortable and surefooted?

Shoes are super comfortable and light on the trail. A little hot during these hot summer days in Arkansas, but that's expected when you go waterproof. Good traction on most surfaces, and good stability. My first pair of North Face shoes and definitely won't be my last. Very satisfied.

I really abuse the shoe and still looks great. I've been purchasing from The North Face for over 20 years and the product lasts.

I take these shoes everywhere, on short hikes to major adventures. They fit wonderful, are super light but provide a ton of support for the ankle unlike other hiking shoes I've worn. Great, durable tread and awesome waterproof outer! It would be tough to find a better shoe for its category.

I have found each iteration of these shoes to wear well and last appropriately. They are rugged but comfortable.

I use these shoes at work and for hiking! Being goretex my feet are always dry and the tread design on the sole is great for traction and not slipping l.

Wear every day, very good hiking and for trails and all around use. Will continue to purchase Nort Face shoes and worth the price usually good for at least a year.

I'm using them for rainy and snowy days.

This is my second pair. They are lightweight but supportive :full disclosure I added aftermarket arch support insoles as I needed higher arch support.

Great show for my outdoor needs.

I've had these for several weeks. So far, I like the comfort and how these shoes look. If this keeps up, I'd definitely buy another pair

I have been using these shoes on hikes so far and they are very solid. I have also worn tbem for a night out and so appreciate that they can double as a casual night out shoe. They are a great choice.

These shoes are comfortable

This is my 6th pair of this shoe. I wear them daily for work in a wet environment. Each pair lasts about one year, if I wear them 5 or 6 days per week. A day for me on average at work is about 10,000 steps on concrete and asphalt. At about the one year mark, they are still waterproof, comfortable, but the soles are very worn and the stability is not what it was originally. I overpronate and these shoes provide the stability I need to stay on my feet all day.

Super comfortable immediately. Didn't even need to break them in. Very breathable on hikes but also waterproof.

I bought these as a lighter alternative to my distance hiking shoes and absolutely love them! They are so comfortable, I wear them even when not hiking. My daughter asked "Dad, where did you get those shoes? They look great!" Of course I told her The North Face!!!

Purchased for trip to the Irish coast with its rugged cliffs and wet environment.

I have worn out my old pair. They were so comfortable and durable I chose to purchase a second pair. Over the years I have tried a number of different light hikers and none of them were as comfortable as these.

Thus is shoe is comfortable and perfect for walking trails.
