The last version of this product was great. With the upgrade it's like some exec somewhere decided to take everything good about the shoe and ruin it. My current pair wore out in less than a year after my previous pair lasted about two years. The eyelets are so thin now that they break easily and the upper wears out quickly. I heard of someone wearing out this shoe in two weeks when I took it back for return.Talk about cutting corners on a new version of the shoe. Whoever redesigned this shoe should be embarrassed.

I tried them on and the it felt like I was walking on two boards. The shoe fits geat but it lacks in the comfort department . I've owned several pairs of waterproof shoes and these didn't feel that good.

Big fan of North Face shoes as they always run true... The Ultra110 GTX show lace eye is a thin piece of plastic that is melted to the outer side wall of the shoe and broke as I went to tie them for the 1st time in my house cant imagine how quickly they all pull out on the trail... Very Very Very disappointed.....

Have been wearing northface shoes for over 8 years, have 3 old pairs of 109 in the closet right now, typically they last about 6 months if I buy new insoles. Love the fit, just some flaws, never actually let me down until the 110 !!! Wore shoes at work for a week to break in, first day hiking broke one of the eyelets ( string loop to be called an eyelet) stopped to hopefully tighten laces down the trail, another eyelet broke, please redesign eyelet to an actual functioning eyelet, make your soles wear longer and insoles higher quality and this would be a good shoe, returned this pair and bought the model 109 from another outdoor store

I bought these in May and did not wear them until September. The first time I wore them the top lace loop on the left shoe broke.

I have purchased many Northface shoes over the years and the company should be embarrassed to even have its name on this one. The laces are held to the shoe using TINY threads - no grommets or eyelets - and these useless pieces of floss snapped off on the first wear. There is NO other way to secure the laces. Look closely at the pic. I am returning them and I'm very sad to know that these shoes were made to be landfill. My advice is to choose a different shoe!

I really liked these shoes, but one of the lace loops broke after having them for 11 days. Very disappointing. I would like to say that this is a one off thing but looking at the design I could not talk myself into buying another pair.
