These shoes are my first low top hiking shoes. Purchased based on positive reviews. Tested them out on a hike and trail run. They provided excellent grip, stability and support going and going down. Pleasantly surprised how comfortable they were. I love that they are resistant to water/splashes. Excellent for the wet condition hiking trips.

Took my time looking at this shoe versus other comparable ones. I love the fact that it is Goretex and reasonably priced. Comfortable yet stylish shoe in its price range. Sporty as well as durable shoe. Loved the three different color selections. I have worn this shoe initially. I bought it because I travel a lot and want a durable, rain proof , and comfortable walking shoe. Looking forward to using it more in my Summer travels. Highly recommend. Finally love the Northface lifetime warranty.

These shoes are comfortable and I have already used them on several hikes since receiving them. I plan to wear them casually out and about also as they are nice looking shoes. My only complaint is that my left shoe makes a weird clicking sound when I walk. At first I thought a stone or tack might have found its way into my sole, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I hope it goes away, but my hunch is that one of the tread pattern grooves has slightly ripped from the bottom of the sole causing the click.

I'm happy with these shoes so far. They were stiff at first but are quickly breaking in and are becoming really comfortable and supportive. I'm on my feet a lot for work and sometimes need waterproof so they seem like they'll be ideal. I'll also do day hikes in them.

I just bought it and it's serving me really good so far. As it's still brand new, I did not have the chance to say if it's durable or not, but for sure it was made with good materials, so I'm expecting the best for it. Will see.
Confortable for sure!

I love these shoes. They're immediately comfortable. The only downside is they aren't very durable. I get about 200 miles out of them before they're trash. They start falling apart almost instantly (I bring crazy glue with me to repair them on the trail).
I'll keep buying new ones until I find something better ot North face tries a bit harder.

After a lot of hassle just doing an exchange, this pair is nothing like the previous of the same "style" , version and size purchased .. loved the pair from years ago, and needed a new pair... these claim to be the same shoe... not close at all in fit..
Disappointed,

I really wanted to like these shoes. Good reviews, liked how they felt, good looking shoe. Also my wife has the hedgehogs and absolutely loves them so I wanted to give north face a shot at a hiking/backpacking trail shoe BUT the dealbreaker for me was the lacing loops. VERY difficult to adjust and tighten up. After difficulty getting them tied in my living room which took several minutes I can't imagine climbing out of a tent on a cold morning the effort to get them just right. Sorry North Face, I own a lot of your gear and love it but had to return the 110's.

These are heavy duty hiking shoes. Not trail running shoes. They are very heavy. The deal killer for me was the coarse fabric around the ankle and the stiffness of the material at the ankle. It rubbed the ankle in a painful way right off the bat. However, if the weight and the ankle does not bother you then you would have a good bullet proof shoe on your foot.

Due to it's comfort, base-stability and protection, the North Face Ultra 110 would be one of my best purchases for my 6 month trip around South America. I've used them on daily basis whether it was hiking through Patagonian mountains or in cities and I was 100% happy with them.
The waterproofing is however a bit questionable as my feet went wet several times and I'm therefore not sure of its advantages as breathability was being compromised by the feature that is not 100% functional.
Another minor minus was that after about 2,5 months, the back of the inside shoe worn off. The biggest disappointment however was how the laces are attached as one of the "holes" gave in only after about 4 months of use. Although they were super comfy and I loved to wear them, I personally believe that shoes in this price category should last longer than 4 months.

Fit size great. Eyelets on both shoes broke. Poor design and could easily see it happening again.

This shoe wants to be superb...ridiculous eyelet design does not allow for laces to be pulled tight. Therefore, shoe feels too tall and loose above the sole. Its like TNF engineers got halfway through making a killer shoe and said "done...sole is great no more to do here." Aah, what could of been...

Ordered these based upon positive reviews from a couple of websites. I generally take a size 11.5 in dress shoes/sneakers. In Keen models, I wear a size 12. Based upon some user reviews, I decided to size up a half to 12. When I put them on, my foot was swimming in them from the width standpoint, while the length was maybe a tad long. I have a normal width foot, however, prefer a larger toebox. I exchanged that out with a size 11.5. Unfortunately, my toes felt cramped as the toebox was more narrow in width/height. In addition, I had noticed one review that made mention to the crease of the shoe on top when flexed or taking a step. In both sizes, the crease pushed down, in an uncomfortable manner, on the base of my toes when walking. Maybe it was just a product of me not being able to find the correct fit with either size. While I liked the look, I ended up returning both sizes.

I've owned two previous pairs of North Face shoes and was very happy with them. The Ultra 110 GTX is slightly different than the previous pairs and didn't fit right. The way they flexed at the toes was uncomfortable.

Overall a really comfy shoe. My only gripe is how high the ankle cutouts come up. They rub against both of my ankles, may get uncomfortable on a longer hike. I've had this issue with a few other shoes in the past and had to stop wearing them. We'll see how bad this pair gets. But again, other than that, feels like a solid shoe.

I have been looking for a pair of outdoor casual/sport shoes especially when it's wet outside and light to moderate rain conditions. At first the shoes felt terribly stiff, but I'm hoping they will loosen with time. The heel pull strap feels very 'thin' and not very strong to hold up to use. The weight of the shoes are good and I only have done short to moderate walks in them but good so far. One of the main reasons why I bought these is they are built with Gore Tex so my hopes ride with that being a big part of a long performance of these quite expensive

In general these waterproof shoes/boots from the North Face have only lasted me about 8 months then they fail. I've had multiple replacements; it's nice to have the warranty but a hassle to keep having to return the shoes & wait for the warranty process.
These shoes' seal is of poor quality and tends to break, allowing for water to get in the shoe and soaking my soaks.

The first time I tightened the laces an eyelet broke. They're super tiny and delicate, I can't imagine them holding up for long, even if they survived tightening.

A little over a year later and the top eyelet, which are just cord loops, broke - both shoes on same day. No way to repair. I think they did away with those eyelets on the Ultra 111. A very comfortable hiking shoe though

These North face shoes are not durable.
The pictures are after 4 months of Monday through Friday wear. They look years old. The style is nice but the wear isn’t. If you walk a lot like I do Keen has better durability for a waterproof shoe.
