These are now my primary hiking shoe. Completed an 11 mile day hike in them after receiving them. Traction is simply fantastic. I so have some foot issues but not in these. Super comfortable all 11 miles. My only concern are those tiny lace eyelets. I have read about them breaking so I'm just nervous about them snapping on me. I would have felt better if they were metal or simply thicker. Just for peace of mind alone.

Well constructed and good materials. Size is a bit larger compared to my usual New balance size. returned for another pair of half size smaller.

While I haven't battle tested these boots/sneakers yet I have to say that I love them. They fit great and they look great too (in brown). I would say they feel a little large on my foot but I may need to get used to them. I purchased a size 10 (I wear a size 10 in vans) and probably a 9 3/4 would have been the best fit for me.

These are hands down the best shoes a big guy can wear because of how much support they offer. I am 265 pounds and suffer from plantar fascitis. These shoes have literally given me the ability to work out and walk comfortably all day again. The tread wears well but the heel padding will wear out first. My suggestion is to make sure you really loosen the laces when putting on and taking off. Lastly, those that say the lace eyelets are braking clearly have no idea how to tie these shoes correctly. They come ready for what is called a heel lock. Google that so you understand what it is and how to do it. Trust me it is a game changer in tying shoes. If tied correctly you should never be putting any tension on the eyelets at all. Maybe NF should print directions to go with the shoes and teach people about tying them. That way so many people wouldnt be so upset

Amidst all the shelves and displays of boots and shoes one pair actually fit. Granted, I'm a tad wider than most, but the Ultra 110 GTX fit perfectly. I'm talking Cinderella moment. They were comfortable the moment I put them on, almost like shoe last was designed for my foot. They're marketed as a trail runner but clearly their DNA is that of a hiker. No real break in was required they just worked from the get go. I will say I've never had a waterproof shoe that isn't slightly warmer but it goes with the territory. I'm happy and would pull the trigger again.

This is my son’s 4th year wearing these shoes. He loves them! Good traction, light weight, comfortable and waterproof. They have taken him on many adventures and proven to be durable.

I didn’t buy this shoe as a hiking shoe or trail running shoe; I have dedicated shoes for each of these activities. I did buy this as a capable sneaker type of shoe and the brown color is excellent. I can’t believe the hideous colors shoe companies are allowing to go to market but the brown color is nice. Almost cancelled after reading that the sole was a little stiff but on trying them on I found I could walk in them without the annoying clomping, heel-toe slap some old fashioned shoes make so pleasantly surprised they do flex enough for any everyday shoe for me. Also read somewhere they were heavy; they don’t seem that way to me even for just sneaker type usage. Another thing is I have trouble with not getting enough toe area both wide and over tops of them but my standard size fits perfect for a pretty particular customer like myself. Can’t comment on hard use or even durability cause just got them but fit and initial quality is great.

I have severe back problems and I can only do low impact exercise. This is the best shoe that I have ever worn for walking and I would buy another pair in a heart beat, although you won't have to because the sole on this thing is UNSTOPPABLE and made by the Gods. I have had them for 2 years and I will always choose this North Face shoe over any Adidas/Nike/NB/+ when it comes to walking and being on your feet for extended periods of time. If I'm ever hiking NOT in this shoe my back starts to hurt a lot faster and I'll have to stop going. Walking in the Ultra 110 GTX you don't feel the ground at all! It's like you're part of the pavement. North Face forever!

These trail runners are light and comfortable. The fit is excellent. Plenty of room in the toe box, unlike the Merrells that I bought that was too snug and uncomfortable. I use it mainly for commuting but will use them on the trails for hiking for sure!

The fit and size were exactly what I was looking for and got it. I work for UPS so walking is the biggest part of my job. I’ve been a huge fan of north face shoes my last 10 pairs were different styles of north face but the gtx 110 are by far my favorite out of the north face family.

I needed a waterproof shoe that is comfortable and has solid traction. I found it with the North Face Men's Ultra 110 GTX. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the shoe - not stiff. The capped toe gives it a little more durability. Very solid traction pattern. Would recommend this product.
