I can't make any durability claims as I have only had these boots for a few weeks. However, they have been so far, up to the standard that Merrell set (with me anyway), which is good. Their water proofing has not been tested yet either. I will say that like many shoe and boot manufacturers, boots with a wide toe box are still not common. Merrell meets that need about halfway. In addition, the cushioning of this boot is not bad, but could be better. On toe box and partially on cushioning, Keen has them beat. However, Keen did not have a boot for this application. So thank you Merrell for making this type of boot. Over all, I am happy so far with these boots. If they last as long as my last pair of Merrell shoes then they will out last their expected life.

Great boot. Have not worn in the rain nor Texas heat yet but so far, very happy with the purchase. Only complaints I have is the top of the boot does not open wide enough to get my foot in/out of without also unlacing a few rows and the top seems to be lower than my other 8" boots. Issues I have articulated are certainly not a deal breaker. Definitely would recommend these boots.

I wear this type of boot on a daily basis. This boot is comfortable, true to size and has great traction (important for me).
However, it is extremely frustrating to put on. It baffles me that a high quality company like Merrell would make an 8" boot without a pull loop on the back. Add to that the zipper doesn't open wide enough to compensate and grant easy in/out. What's the point of a side zip if it's a battle to get the boot on? I don't see the inner lining lasting the test of time with the amount of friction I apply just wrestling the boots on. That said, I like them well enough, will just be shopping for a less frustrating boot next time.

I picked these up on a whim to replace a set of Danner Acadia's and Haix P7's I used for work.
They fit like a good hiking boot, are lightweight and handle 12 hour shifts great. I find them to be incredibly warm, so I wouldn't recommend for warm climates or if you're indoors most of the time.
After 6 months of daily wear I don't have any concerns or issues

Very comfortable boots that i wear for 24 hour shifts with no complaints. However, they hold odor like no other boot.

I love these boots. They are comfortable and warm. I use them for riding my motorcycle. They keep my feet comfortable in all temperatures. The only thing I would complain about ( and the reason for 4 not 5 stars ) is that tying them is a bit of a pain because you are forced to pull on each and every lace to get the boots snug. They look great and are very strong.

I have had these boots for over a year now and wear them 40+ hours a week in Law Enforcement (did well standing for hours during protests). They are comfortable to stand in for long hours, good movement, waterproof, good grip, and warm in the winter. The only downfall is that they are fairly warm to wear in the summer, so a good foot powder will get you through your shift with these. Overall would highly recommend this boot.

Love the design and look. Great ankle support. A little heavy for my taste. They fit well. I was concerned about them being unisex. Overall I am pleased. I use them for work.

Style is great however the way the gusset folds at the zipper is VERY irritating to ones ankles. I have loosened the laces &am trying to get these broken in. I have blisters to deal with now. My first pair with zippers (insulated ones) are just wonderful. Wishing these were made the same way. Kinda let down cause these were very expensive.

Great boot over all, comfortable and great looking boot...only reason I have it 4 instead of 5 is that they don't last long. Mine lasted about 8 months. Thanks

I use these for work. So far only had them just under a month. I use them for emergency services team at work. So far they are the most comfortable pair of boots I own. I have a 5yr old pair of the 6" black tactical and they are still kicking hard to this day. But these feel more comfortable on my feet already and I may even update my work ones coming soon.

Love the boots. Have been very comfortable on hikes on the Appalachian Trail and doing rope rescue training. I do wish that the side zipper went a little further forward on the foot and had a loop at the top of the back of boot for easier donning and doffing.

This is my second pair. On the first pair, the side-zipper was slightly offset on one boot. It didn't effect the functionality, but I noticed it every time I laced-up. The zipper on the newest pair catches about 1/3 of the way up. I have waxed it, with some improvement, but it kind of defeats the purpose when you have to mess around to get the zipper to work. Otherwise, they are super comfortable and the waterproofing is great.

Longest lasting disposable duty boots I have ever owned. Almost the most comfortable but I have had less durable boots that are more comfortable but only have half the lifespan.

Excellent boot overall, but I have big feet, there is not enough material behind the zipper for me to get my foot in without unlacing, which defeats the purpose of having a zipper

2nd pair. Great boot. Breaks in quickly for my 12hr shifts. They're recommended to multiple coworkers who also wear them.

I love everything about these boots except for the fact that they last about 3 months before the soles, stitching, and fabric start to come apart...

So this boot has it goods and bad. I work full time ems and these boots seen some rough terrain. Had the boots for about 1.5 years and there reaching the end of the life. Treds gone, stitching issues. Few other things but nothing major. These boots are absolutely would recommend. I love the vibram soul. Thats the only reason I buy Merrell. If I worked more on the streets and walking a beat like a cop then these boots probably last about a year. Overall. 4 out of 5. And will probably buy another pair soon

Shoes fit great are comfortable and look good, great on cool or cold days with wool sox, Little tostie on warm days with thinner cotton sox will have to find a more breathable shoe in the Texas heat. I work outside in the elements.

I've had these boots for about 3 years now and this is a great every day boot. It can withstand light to medium rain, snow, dirt, and daily grime. The boot is a little heavy but if you're on your feet throughout the day then the extra weight is worth it for the comfort aspect of the boot.
My key take aways
Waterproof: 8/10
The boot is waterproof for the most part, I've been through some small creek crossings and some pretty heavy rain storms and had a little of water seep in the toe area. That could be due to the duration that the boot has been absorbing moisture. As long as you're not sitting in the wetness like I was you shouldn't have any problems.
Weight: 7/10
If you're looking for everyday wear and comfort theses are good to go. A ruck, a hike, and standing in theses is a go. I wouldn't suggest PT in theses though since the weight. Not the heaviest boot I've worn, you know they're there. I've worn much heavier. If you're looking for a PT boot try looking at Merrell's Agility Peak (much lighter and slimmer).
