Merrill, you tricked me! After four styles that ran small, this one is not. Good thing I also ordered my normal size to try on. This shoe is gorgeous!

This size 10 sleek blacked-out shoe fits my size 9 narrow foot perfectly. It has a flexible, low profile and would work with leggings as well as bare legs or skinny jeans. I am undecided about the shape of the toebox, it comes to an exaggerated point at the big toe, if I wanted to see my feet like this I would just go barefoot. Still, the shoe is very comfortable and in spite of the very thin sole still has a fair amount of cushion. Would I wear theses trail running? Maybe not, but for a day out and about they will be fine.

I found the insoles to be on the thin side unlike other Merrell insoles. I replaced the insoles in these hikers with my orthotics & they feel great. I might have to buy another pair before this model is discontinued. I love the colour too!

This feels like a true Merrell. Not super cushy but solid and supportive. It fit my foot well and was true to size - I always get an 8 in Merrell trail shoes or closed-toe sandals. I am returning only because of the color. I really wanted a lighter gray or beige. I ordered the olive color. It is more olive than it even looks in the pics. For trails I would not mind but I tend to wear mine all the time so that color just doesn't work for me. I would recommend the shoe otherwise; if olive works for you, go for it!

very supportive and lightweight, but the light blue color and style was not for me.

This shoe has surprisingly good side support. I gave this shoe 4 stars only because I haven't really worn them outside and actually "used" them. So far, around the house, they've felt fine.
I'd also recommend:

This shoe is comfortable, lightweight and provides great stability. I am on my feet constantly throughout the day for work, walking the dog and other daily activities and I haven't had any issues with transitioning to/from different surfaces. Very minimal break in time!

very pretty. the sizing is good but a little narrow for my wide width foot. I have to leave the lacing very rather wide.

Bought this as a go between running shoe amd heavier solid based hiker. Will be doing cobblestones and heavy sightseeing so the weight should be perfect. Virtually no break in needed.

I love the shoes! I am not happy with the shoestrings. They are short. It's hard to double tie them. This causes them to come untied.

I am happy with this Merrell shoe from how it look to how it fits. At first I thought they were too big because there was a lot of extra room in the toe box, but once I started walking around it became less noticeable and my toes appreciated the extra wiggle room. I did add some off-the-shelf shoe liners for extra cushioning, but I've been having some uncharacteristic foot pain lately and for that I won't blame the shoes. As a few other reviewers said, there could be more arch support, but it isn't terrible. I just like a lot of arch support. This is a lower profile shoe compared to the other Merrell hiking shoes I've had, so there isn't quite as much structure as I'm used to. I love how these look and once I wear them around a bit more I may pick up a second color!

Although it was the right size, the toes curve slightly up - which crunches the top part. I kept them longer as I wore them inside hoping they would eventually work out. I love Merrill shoes and will continue to buy them - but unfortunately - these go back.

I have Merrell snow boots and leather boots, both size 8.5. I ordered these in both the 8.5 and 9. The 8.5 didn't have enough room for my toes--I have long toes and bunions on the big toe side. The 9 had enough room but the cushioning in the sole hit in odd places. So I hard to return both pair. I like the way the shoe looks, and I like the lightweight factor. Just didn't work for my feet.

This shoe is a little stiff, which you probably need on trails. I need a good walking shoe. I usually buy a half size larger in my tennis shoes which I did with this one. I could have bought my regular size. But I put in some gel insoles and it’s a decent fit. I like the style and they are reasonably comfortable. I have been wearing them, but they really didn’t need any break in time.

Last pair of Merrell's I ordered felt like the sizing had changed (larger). I ordered this in my usual size 9 and it worked. I need a wide toe box and would like about 1/4 inch more, but these are pretty good. Very lightweight.

Very comfortable. Runs a bit large in my opinion. Could have ordered a Half size smaller. Might be due to the toe box being more pointed than rounded.

Really like this shoe. Very lightweight, good support, feels like air on my feet. Ordered my normal size of 8.5 and it fits fine. Looking forward to walking around Europe in this. Will update if it doesn't work out. Normal speedy delivery by Zappos (one day!), earlier than expected. Zappos rules!

Wore these on a hiking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and they were very comfortable. Did not require much breaking in (wore once before the trip), thick running socks work best. I love the color (Astral Aura) too!

I’ve been dealing with some knee pain lately and thought a more stabilizing shoe might help. These were cute and comfy but unfortunately my knees were twinging within a few minutes of trying them around the house. I’m sad because my winter Merrill ankle boots don’t cause me any pain and I hoped these would be a good spring/summer alternative. I ordered both the solid black and the smoke grey color. Solid black was pretty clunky looking but the grey were actually quite cute on.

I ordered these and the Siren Edge. Personally, I think the Edge is much more attractive. Also, I tend to overpronate and these shoes are not as supportive. I will suggest sizing up 1 full size. I wear a 7 in casual shoes. Need an 8 in these; 7.5 in Siren Edge.

Bought these shoes to go hiking, and they work really well out in nature. The only downside is that when i was on pavement the shoe would slip - that was odd for me. But, it's got good grip in dirt and terrain area and that's essential. Added bonus: they are cute!

I loved the style of these but they were just slightly too tight in the width. I wear Merrells all the time and had another new pair to use for comparison. I kept the other pair because they felt better even though this style on these was cuter.

I have plantar fasciitis. Great for walking miles. I order a 9 1/2 since I wear a 9. Fits perfectly. I don’t like my toes to be smushed at all. The width gives a need snug fit for great support too.
