I read all the reviews before purchasing these shoes for a week-long conference in Cleveland, Ohio. Yes, Cleveland. It's really a beautiful city! Anyway, I knew there would be a TON of walking and I wanted something that would get me through the day (even with my bad knees!). I ordered half a size bigger because it seems as I get older, my feet are getting longer. I hate that. These shoes are DA BOMB! I loved wearing them, loved how my knees didn't ache, my feet didn't throb and I actually had enough energy to get back to my hotel room after a long day walking around a gigantic convention center. I am definitely considering buying another pair just to keep a back-up!

I loved the look of these. They are just what I wanted for an upcoming trip. Unfortunately, they were just a little too tight in the toe box on my larger foot, so back they went. :-(

This shoe is. It’s lightweight, comfortable and perfect fit. Love the color.

Lightweight, but provides good support. Works well with my orthotics. Toe box is roomy enough for my bunions - no squishing. I wear them with very light socks. So far, I've taken 3-mile walks in them -- no problems. Not sure how they'll handle heavy rain, but should probably dry out quickly. I plan to take them on a trip to Asia -- will be walking a lot.

I really like this shoe. Enough that I’ll keep it for more rugged walks or hikes where my foot needs a hair more protection than the Trail Glove. I haven’t had great luck with Merrell working for my funny feet in the past other than the original trail glove. This shoe delivers. It has a little cushion without adding too much bulk and a toe box that doesn’t crush my toes. I like that I can put my own orthotics in. I don’t like the stretchy laces, but I can easily replace them. I get good traction and good protection from the road or trail and they are comfortable. They breathe pretty well too, which is good if they get wet. Walking down hill my foot shifted a bit, but I might do better with a will sock instead of my thin synthetic socks. Hopefully they’ll hold up! So far so good.

These saved me with my prescription orthotics. I have been buying only Merrell shoes, and only from Zappos, since getting prescription orthotics about 10 years ago. Merrell has a lot of shoes with removable insoles, so it's a good bet. It gets tricky though as shoe styles change and orthotic prescriptions change. I was despondent not find shoes to fit my new thicker (but not overly thick) orthotics. Even my other Merrells Siren Sports either didn't fit them or hurt. These ones have enough space and give that my orthotics fit! It took me a while to realize that, because I had to adjust the tongue and laces a couple of times. I was about to return them when I realized they were actually ideal. So if you have orthotics that are tricky, give these a try. I also like that there is an all-black option, and that the show is not too bulky, so it also addresses the orthotic-created problem where I always have to be in bright sneakers. These are much more inconspicuous.

This shoe is very comfortable. I ordered a half size up to have plenty of toe room. I also adjusted the position of the shoe laces to accommodate my high insteps.
