These shoes are cute but the thin stiff tongue makes for a very uncomfortable walking. It's not cushioned enough and you can feel the top scratching/hitting the top of your feet in every step. Maybe I'm used to the soft cushioned tongues but I noticed the difference as soon as I put in and walk a few steps. Returning them.

Cute shoe but the arch did not fit right for me. Had to return.

These are cute shoes, but didn't fit in the toe area. They also felt like if I sized up another 1/2 size that they would slide on my heel. I had another Merrell option that did fit fine, so I'm returning these.

I just bought these hiking shoes for my trip to Arizona. I loved them at first! In DRY hiking conditions they are wonderful. I hiked up a mountain just fine but then it started raining and I SLID down the rest of the mountain! It was terrible. So slippery. Almost would've rather taken off my shoes and walked the rest of the way in my wet socks! Then the next day I stepped out of the car in a garage and immediately slipped and fell and slammed into the car! Currently icing my back as I type this! I am not a clumsy person! I am worried for my safety if I wear these shoes. Will not reccomend.

I absolutely loved the look of this shoe. The bleached aqua and gray was the perfect contrast for the crochet details to show. The construction was great too, with attention to detai, showcased by the durable overlay on the mesh over the toes. However, my heart broke because I had to return them. I tried them out indoors for a few hours on 2 different days. I ended up with shin splints and the most sore feet I've ever had. I have worn Merrells for 6 years (2 pairs of walking shoes, 2 pairs of sandals, and 2 pairs of hiking boots). I've loved every pair until this one. I'm still sad about it.

The Siren Hex Q2 - E-mesh is a disappointment. The toe box is long and curls up. The insole is hard and not comfortable. The sole is not substantial and doesn't support an arch. I will be returning them.
I wanted to reorder the same Merrell sneakers I ordered 2 years ago. But of course they no longer offer them. I am tired of shoe companies changing styles and materials and continuing to charge the same high prices.
Have fun making your profits but you lost a customer here!

I thought the bleached aqua color looked cute on the website, but it was a little light in person. These sneakers felt a little flimsy, and I did not feel that they gave my feet any support.

these are great looking, really comfortable shoes. But... the size 7 is way too small and the 7.5 is way too long.
Very disappointing

I really wanted these to work, but the sole runs up into the toe area, very uncomfortable. Also, my toes were squished even though the main body of the shoe ran wide. Wish someone would make a "barefoot" or minimalist shoe actually shaped like a human foot.

I have always loved all products I've gotten from Merrell but this is a real disappointment in terms of quality. I've hiked in these less than 20 times and the inside leather lining above the toe is coming apart and falling down in one shoe making them completely unwearable. I tried these as a lighter weight alternative to the All Out Blaze which I literally wore for years with no issues. This was a mistake and waste of money.

One of the ugliest pairs of shoes I have ever seen. The toe box/entire front of the shoe balloons out like clown shoes - just really weird and ugly. Also, the shoe tilted my ankles inward towards each other, like inside of the shoe slanted my feet inward. I don't know if this shoe is made to correct some kind of outward pronation, but it felt very awkward and uncomfortable, to the extent that I finally thought maybe there was a huge manufacturing error. They went back immediately.

Longtime Merrell fan and frequent buyer of both the Jungle Moc and Moab ventilator series for women's shoes, but first venture into a lighter weight athletic or hiking shoe for me and the Siren Hex Q2 mesh disappoints from first slip-on. Why? The way the tongue is stitched at the top above the laces leaves
a lot of fabric/ harder material edging that rubs across the top of the midsection of your foot. No amount of loosening the laces helped with this rubbing problem.
Another observation: there are no traditional eyelets in this shoe - rather, the laces are secure via fabric loops which I wondered would wear out/shred apart in time. Lastly, very little padding to the tongue of the shoe itself. This is in contrast to the MQM Flex shoe my husband purchased at the same time which has none of the these issues and he says is extremely comfortable on his feet from first slip-on. Sadly, I am returning these shoes - despite them looking rather cute!

I am disappointed with this hiking shoe. It has very little support and feels too light on my feet. It feels like a "summer" shoe and would not wear it in colder weather.

I purchased these shoes in August 2018, after only about 3 months of wear (3-4 days per week, about an hour and a half each day) there are holes on each shoe by my baby toe. Comfortable to wear but this quality issue would make me rethink purchasing Merrell hiking shoes in the future.

I have several Merrell styles and needed a low profile shoe for lengthy standing and walking at work. The positives: these shoes look great with ankle pants and skinny jeans, they are supportive and stiff to support my long days on my feet with low back pain. Negatives: definitely a little narrower than my other Merrells in the toe box area. The big negative that caused me to return after wearing in the house for two days- I felt every seam on the inside of the shoe. The tongue rubs constantly and the stitching around the top of the foot region is not smooth but almost ridged so that it would rub on my foot causing pain after awhile. No amount of adjusting the laces seemed to help with the situation. I wear a size 10 and do not have a high arch and use light athletic socks. I just found two similar review complaints about the stitching issue from another website that carries this Merrell style.

Merrell, your quality control has really deteriorated. The shape of the front (toe area) of the right shoe was extremely misshapen. It looked like the right shoe wasn't a matched pair with the left shoe. The left one appeared to be correctly shaped (like all the other Merrells I own). Such a bummer. The shoes would be cute if the right matched the left. Hard to believe this pair made it through quality control. I'll be staying away from Merrell from now on.

I LOVED these shoes. They fit true to size, had excellent support but they cut into my feet when I tested them around the house. I kept trying to get past that because I knew they were a perfect fit but the cutting into the bend of my foot was to great.

What is happening to Merrell's quality? Craftsmanship was poor. Inside of shoe had gobs of extra material left where it was poorly stitched together, making it feel uncomfortable. Hope this isn't an indication of Merrell's direction for quality. Going back to New Balance.
