Hard. One of the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought. You would think for the price they would be good, comfortable shoes. Nope. If you wanna feel like your walking on concrete you don't need these. Just go bare foot. I'm returning these and going back to Brooks.

I wear a 10 in most shoes. My Gel-Nimbus 18 were a size 10.5. I had to order up to a size 11 in these, and I ordered wide. They seem to fit, although they are still pretty tight across the arch. I'm most disappointed in the lack of padding under the ball of the foot. Very little cushion.

Apparently in the last two roll outs Gel-Nimbus has changed beyond recognition. I have worn Nimbus, many of them, for probably 7 years and loved them. These shoes(20) were stiff and hard. There is little cushioning in the forefoot. I put one on with the other foot in a Nimbus 18 which is well worn and the 18 had strikingly more cushioning even worn out. I don't know what is going on - but looks like I'm going to have to find myself another shoe. I just returned a Nimbus 19 which was even worse. I hope Asics will go back to the earlier plan - or create a new shoe for neutral cushioning and tell us what it is!
