I have been a gel nimbus fan and LOVED my GEL-nimbus 18’s. The GEL-Nimbus 20’s are quite a disappointment. The arch support does not support in the correct area. The shoe is hard and not impact absorbent as in previous models. My feet, legs and ankles hurt after wearing them.
I bought them. I wore them with high expectations. Now I’m stuck with a very disappointing shoe.

Own the Nimbus 17 and love them, the 20 is disappointing, cannot get a good fit. Too narrow, even ordered the wide and it is still narrow.

every time I wear these shoes the heel slips and I get blisters on my heels. Everything else is good.

I owned and loved the Asics Gel-Nimbus 17, so thought these would fit as well. Alas, they do NOT. When I tried them on, I thought perhaps that the "scrunch" feeling in my toes was because of new shoe stiffness. Unfortunately, after several wears, I realise this is not the case. The toe box of this model is much tighter and smaller than the beloved predecessor. I wish I had known. I would have bought a larger size.
In street shoes, I wear a US 5M. In the Asics Gel-Nimbus 17, I wore a 5.5M and they fit great. The Asics Gel-Nimbus US 5.5M are too short for comfort - but too expensive for me to be able to afford to buy a US 6M. I am very disappointed.

i order a 1/2 size larger based on the other reviews, but my toe still rub the shoe. I then ordered another 1/2 size and the arch support was off and hurt my feet. Very disappointed in the shoe.

Asics, please bring back a version just like the 18s!!! They were perfect. These have no cushion.

I normally wear an 8.5 but the amount of cushion on the back make my toes closer to the toe of the shoe. Makes it uncomfortable when I run because my toes are cramped. If you go up half a size they would be perfect.

I have worn Asics for years - 9 Wide. However, In Asics, a 9 is no longer a 9, and a wide is no longer wide. There wasn't enough room for my toes. I'm very disappointed and returning this shoe, and 2 other Asics for the same reason.
I will have to start looking at other brands.

I had the Nimbus 18 which fit well. Have had many pairs as a marathon runner. I went through ordering several sizes in the 19 which were too narrow. I gave up on Asics and bought a different brand. I am now trying the 20 due to what they say is "improved fit". I usually wear a size 9 1/2 2A which I ordered. Again, the fit is too narrow with a cramped toe box although not as bad as the 19s. I will try going up to a size 10. If these don't work I will go back to the other brand. It is too bad that the company modified the sizing. I really like the show otherwise for the gel technology.

I have worn Asics Nimbus, Cumulus and GT2000. I tend to go back and forth between these styles because Asics changes them every year. My last Nimbus had so much more cushion! The only place I saw cushion in this Nimbus 20 was in the shoe tongue! I knew immediately when I put them on that I couldn't keep them. I ordered the 2000 yesterday. My husband is currently wearing the 2000 and he likes, so I will give them a try. Thank you Zappos for being such an easy on-line company to order from. Don't know what I would do without Zappos!!

Had these for just 3 months and already they are breaking down, average/fairly active use but certainly not a marathoner. disappointing for what is usually a quality shoemaker.

These shoes look sharp and are fine for walking. I can get by in them as a slow runner, but in my fast days these never would have worked for me because the heel is terribly loose (my heel slips unless I tie them so tight my foot goes to sleep) and the sole is stiff and not cushioned. My foot goes to sleep in ways it never has with any other shoe. I got the wide version after reading reviews and I'm sure glad I did. The narrow must be made for people with barbie feet, not runners. Who has feet that narrow??? I'd return them if I hadn't run in them, which is what you really need to do to see if a running shoe works for running. Luckily for me I used a gift card so didn't have the shell out the insanely high price for these. Will not buy again. I'm a Saucony Ride fan - just wish shoe companies would STOP changing up their shoes on us runners. As soon as you find one that actually works for you they change it the next year and then you're back to square one (and hording the outdated models!). Sigh.

I have worn gel nimbus for years. I have had at least 15 pair. These gel nimbus 20 hurt my feet so bad. They have also made my legs ,knees, hips and back hurt. Don't know what they changed but these are a very different fit. They are more narrow and something has definitely been changed in the heel.I'll continue buying them... hopefully they'll get better or go back to the way they use to be.

ordered a wide because of the change in the product (regular 8 was perfect in nimbus-18), but even the wide is narrower than the old 8 regular. I wore one of each to test. Returning!

I bought my Asics- Gel-Nimbus 20 April 6, 2018. I work walking on concrete daily. I have had the Nimbus 18, 19 and now 20. For some reason I cant break in the 20. I have tried wearing them for a couple of hours then change back into the 19. But so far no luck. I really love the Nimbus. So far I am disappointed especially for the cost and not being able to wear them because of hurting my feet. Hopefully my luck will change soon!

I have wearing the Gel-Nimbus series for a long time. I needed to replace my Gel-Nimbus 18 shoes and ordered the G-N 20.
The two different pairs that I ordered have been returned.
The toe box is so small that my toes were very cramped even though I order a 9 when I am closer to an 8.5.
The sole is very hard. there is none of the G-N softness which is important to me.
Last this mesh on the toe of the shoe is so thin that I could see my sock color through the mesh.
I will be on the lookout for another shoe brand and style.

I returned these. I did the truefit using the size I wear in Brooks, the Nimbus-20 were WAY too small. The cushioning wasn't even close to my previous pair, so disappointed.

Yes, toe box is a touch wider-- I can wiggle my toes now. HOWEVER, the whole shoe is definitely stiffer and the gel cushion is gone, gone, gone... running is not as fun because i find myself thinking about my feet while running. And this year's colors are MEH. After over a decade of buying asics running shoes, I've jumped ship to Brooks Ghost, and I am much happier.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE 18s! I've had these shoes for about a week and it has be searching for new running shoe brands. I've been a faithful Asics runner but the 20s are stiff and lack any sort of cushion or support. The shoe feels hallow with a hard hitting bottom.

Very uncomfortable! Not enough depth in the toe area. My feet were numb just sitting in them. These were 9 Narrow. I wear a 8 1/2 narrow in regular shoes. Tried regular width Asics and they are always too wide in the heal. Too bad these Narrow running shoes are not designed correctly. It is so difficult finding narrow running shoes for under-pronation. So far Nike Zoom Pegasus are the only thing that has been working for me.
I'd also recommend:
