I am so disappointed that I cannot find an Asics style that fits. I loved Nimbus gel 15, 16, and 17. I bought as many 17's as I could when I found out it would be "improved." The Nimbus 20 feels shorter and the toe box is not as wide and there's not a cushioned feeling. Overall it just does not feel like the Asics I love!

I’ve always loved ASICS but these were not up to par. The material is more like a wet suit feel on the inside, which made my foot slip around. I didn’t feel as secure as I usually do in a pair of ASICS. As some of the reviews begged before; bring back the nimbus 18!
Had to return the pair I bought.

I agree with the other reviews - I ordered the same shoe in the same size 11 and it felt like a 10 1/2 so I am sorry to say I will be sending it back. It's also made in a different country.

I bought the 19's a few months ago and fell in love with them. I felt like my foot was on a cloud when I first put them on. I bought a 2nd pair of 19's and decided that the Nimbus series was definitely my shoe. How wrong was I! My 20's came in, and I couldn't wait to try them on - not only were my toes completely cramped, the shoe was the stiffest thing I've ever put on my feet before! Completely dissatisfied with them. Sent them back immediately, and I'm hoping to find another style that works for me. The ONLY reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the Indigo Blue/Opal Green colors look great in person.

I have worn the 18 and the 19, the comfy gel cushioning is virtually nonexistent in the 20, disappointing!

Fit was small and I usually wear a 9.5 in this brand.

I really wanted these to work out. I'm still running in my old Nimbus 16s!! My old and true blue 16s are a size nine, fit like a dream and have room in the toe box. The new 20s in size nine were too cramped in the toe box so I sized up to a nine and half and while the toe box feels good, my foot slides around in the mid portion of the shoe and my heels lifts in the back. Had essentially the same issue with the Brooks Ghost 11, so back to the drawing board I go for a decent running shoe for the neutral foot...

I used to adore the nimbus, but its clear Asics became a little too comfortable with their past reputation with this model, and clearly hasn’t invested in this shoe. In fact they’ve cut corners. They spread themselves too thin with too many models, and let this one coast banking on customer loyalty. The shoe was no more comfortable than the pair of old 15s that need replaced. crazy!

These are disappointing. I have the 18s and love them. These are no where close to as comfortable. I liked the style and look of the show but could not justify the price for the comfort, or lack thereof, even on sale at 38% off. I’ve heard Asics have gone down in quality in their other styles as well; why?!

Disappointed with this shoe. My toe went through the mesh top in no time. Total waste of my money. I have bought your shoes before and this is the only one that has done this.

Purchased the Gel-20 to replace my favorite Gel- Nimbus 19 shoes. These are definitely not the same shoe. They are stiff and not comfortable at all. The padding that had been used for the previous style is thin and harder...not cushiony. In addition, I've always purchased a full size larger for running, however these run a FULL size and a HALF smaller than the Gel Nimbus-19. So disappointed. Now I have to start my search all over again for a neutrally pronated running shoe.

I wear a women’s size 12 medium in most casual shoes but ordered these in size 12.5 medium and they were too narrow. I returned and sized up to a 13 wide which felt better but still too snug in the toe box. The foot bed felt hard, especially under front section, and an insert would be needed to provide better support for someone like me with high arches. I wish that these shoes had worked for me but they were not as comfortable as I had hoped.

The toe box was really tight fitting and the material on the outside of shoes was very hard. I did not like the feel, stiff.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for years and like others have said they keep making the toe area tighter and tighter. I was hopeful that it had been fixed with the 20's as some had indicted but found them every bit as tight as my 18's. I think the 16's are the last good year I have and the tread is really worn. I love the looks of the Nimbus still but that won't do my feet any good in the long run, pun intended. Please fix this Asics!

Please please Asics go back to the style of the 18!! Im a gym owner trainer and we all agree the 18 was the best and the 19, 20 cant even measure up. The shoe has lost its cush and has become hard soled. Asics is losing so many customers from this change, I at least know of 20 and that is one person. People are headed to Brooks.

Love the look of these shoes but not a good fit for me. I have narrow heel but need more space in the toe box. Toe box very tight and the felt at least half size small. Really wanted these to work but no such luck.

Loved the looks of these in the Grey/Seashell Pink but they ran a 1/2 size smaller in length and narrower in toe box compared to my Nimbus 17. I normally wear a Wide and these were too short and narrow for me. Sending back.

Terrible. Why do they keep redesigning this shoe and making it worse?

I have been buying the Nimbus for years and have loved them! Unfortunately, it appears Asics made some major change to this model and now they are VERY narrow. The rest of the shoe is great - they are just way too narrow. I can understand Asics wanting to come up with new colors/patterns each time a version is released, but WHY do they change the fit of their shoes? It seems to me like the same shoe model should fit the same. This shoe has a very loyal following of people who love it - why did they mess with a great thing?! I'm sending these back.

I've been wearing the Gel Nimbus for a few years, and have loved the 13,15 and 18's. I bought the 20's because of the bad reviews for the 19's. I am extremely disappointed though! Nothing like the 18's. The first time I wore them running, the outside of my foot started to hurt. I've never had this problem before so I know it is the shoes. For the price, I'm not happy! I ended up switching totally from ASICS to trying Brooks. So far I am happy with them.

I'm wondering whether Asics is using a different manufacturer or if Zappos receives 2nds on Asics shoes.
I've worn Asics Nimbus shoes for many years.....this current model does not seem to fit in the same manner. In the past, I've worn an 8 1/2 M or N.....this time the Medium did not fit. Zappos graciously sent me an 8 1/2 Wide....it does fit better, but feels a bit snug in the length. My previous experiences w/ Asics has been that IN ADDITION to the insole, I have cushioned the shoe more with a gel insole. I cannot do that with this 8 1/2 wide. A bit disappointing, particularly with the price running more than $170.00.
With non sneaker shoes, I wear a 7 1/2 narrow.

I was very disappointed with these shoes. The Nimbus 20 was not the shoe it used to be. No cushion and much narrower than the prior versions. Loved the look of the black pair, but need to return for the lack of cushion.

I've purchased the Nimbus several years ago and liked them for my high arched, wide feet. This model is smaller than the previous ones. Shorter and the wide feels like a medium width. Going back.

The style and size were fine. The structure of the body of the shoe was not as strong or as supportive as the other Asics that I purchased in the past. I've worn Asics 2000 models that were of better quality in the past. Asics had become my go to shoe to work and play in but this shoe does not measure up.
I'd also recommend:
