I have been wearing Asics Gel Nimbus for years, and years. I have walked in 12 Susan G Komen 3-Day events (60 miles over 3 days). This year I saw the reviews for the Gel Nimbus 20 and went ahead and purchased a pair. I wore them on day two of the event and ended with my first blister ever for this event. I was hoping that since my feet are generally narrower than the average person, that even after 21 miles the shoes would still be wide enough to accommodate by swelling feet. No such luck! My toes were all scrunched up in my shoe. I am truly disappointed Asics! They will be fine to wear to work (I'm a pharmacist and stand all day). And they will be fine for short walks (ten miles or less). Come on Asics, get back to what you had, which was a really good product. Sometimes you really shouldn't mess with success.

I bought these 6 months ago; and I was happy with the wider toe box (slightly wider than the 19's which was comfortable to me) but STILL highly disappointed in the cushioning. I started wearing the Nimbus for the cushion (I run, and have previously broken my foot twice - so REALLY appreciated the cushioning) but that is significantly less than when I started wearing Asics so many years ago. I'm disappointed. I love the colors, and I WANT to love the shoes, but I don't.

I have often worn this shoe but don't like this year's version. It is not as supportive and less padding, although I liked the looks. I was torn but decided it has to go back.

Why does ASICS feel the need to change the product each time?! Bring back same style and fit as earlier Nimbus 16/17/18. Toe box too tight and arches feel weird on this one too. Sad to say it seems like my days of loving this style are over.

Usually a size 9 medium fits me fine, but these shoes were too short and too narrow. Expected better for $150 pair of shoes!

I typically love these shoes. I have been wearing them for over 12 years now with great comfort and stability. The fabric never rips and the bright colors last. I only have one concern. The bottom soles have slowly been less durable the last two years and are beginning to look like flat court shoes rather than outdoor road shoes built for various running weather conditions. I love your products Asics, however, please make the bottom tread more durable!

Better than the 19s but the cushion is gone. I have PF so these are not cushy enough. The 18s were perfect. Asics, please make them like the 18s again. I'd buy every color if they were like 18s again!

I have worked the earlier Nimbus and each time I purchased them they are becoming harder to fit. I always have worn 1/2 size larger than my shoe size. This time I had to order a wide width because of the lack of room in the toe box and I also felt they were slightly shorter. If it keeps going on this trend this may be the last pair I keep.

This shoe has great arch support but fits tight. Also slips in the heel more than I'd like. I still love ASICS

I LOVED my Gel Nimbus 18, in fact I bought two pair. Now I’ve worn them out, but the Nimbus 20 just isn’t as comfortable. There is less cushion in the sole, very little arch support, and they are a little narrower.
I so wanted these to work, because they are so cute.

I have worn Asics for years and need a wide toe box due to toe issues and recent surgeries. The D width shoe is not any wider than the regular shoe which did not used to be the case. I will have to find another walking/running shoe until ASICS gets the shoe accurately back to a wide. Also my toe often punctures the top of the shoe in a short time frame, but I would be fine with that happening if the width was correct.

I read the reviews and decided to still try them for myself. They were so much narrower in the toe box and much shorter in length than my Nimbus 18s. I even went up a half size for the length but they still weren’t as comfortable as my 18s still are. I wear sneakers for walking about 3 miles each morning and often wear them throughout the day as well. I’m returning them.

Positives: good padding around the ankle and actual METAL grommets for the laces, which is very nice.
Negative: when walking, the shoe clunks from heel to toe - didn't feel like a smooth step at all. Have to return because of that. I do think that Asics is making the shoes narrower than previously, with less toe-box height and width.

Quite stiff under the forefoot. Not the usual plush nimbus ride. Toe box better than the 19 but still pinches more than the 18 and the 18 was barely adequate. After 10 years with asics it is time to move on.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for years, always a size 7D. I got my usual size in these as a gift from my husband. As other reviewers have mentioned, the toe box is now way way too small causing severe pain in my big toes when previously they were super comfortable. Bummed to have to buy a new pair already!

I've been a die-hard Nimbus fan for years - since the Nimbus 12, I think. I love the support, the cushion, the durability of this shoe. I usually put about 50 miles per week on my shoes. That said, the Nimbus 20 is a fail, ASICS. Based on reviews that said the toe box was small, I ordered the wide version. It was tighter than my medium-width Nimbus 18s. I sent these back right away. For now, I'm going with the Brooks Ghost - until ASICS goes back to a roomier toe box. Please, ASICS, listen to your customers!! No one likes a tight, cramped toe box. Bring back the roomy toe box, PLEASE!

I really wanted to like this shoe. I love the look and was very excited that when I tried it around the house the shoe felt great. But when I went outside and hit the pavement, my foot went numb and then I felt intense pain on the balls of my feet. Luckily Zappos was wonderful when I called and I was able to return the shoe and go back to Brooks, the brand I have been wearing for years.

I purchased these because they were recommended by Asics for people prone to supinate. I have worn them twice and they are already becoming uncomfortable because of my tendency to supinate. So, in a nutshell, I disagree with Asics on this point. I have been much more comfortable in other shoes that never made the claim to be good for supination.

These beautiful Ascis shoes were so dissapointing and hurt. I’ve have had Ascis running shoes for years and have never been dissatisfied. These shoes were so uncomfortable. The toe box was more narrow and it felt there was a “rod” under the ball of your foot. Since I ran in them once, now I’m stuck with these very expensive shoe.

I have bought this style the last three times I have purchased shoes for work, and I have to say this particular pair was not as comfy as the first two pairs. The sole just seems hard in this pair. I bought a different style of Asics (Comutora) to just to try, and I have to say they feel way better on my feet, and were way cheaper!

Asics have been my shoe for close to 10 years. The sizing is different and they no longer fit me. The toebox is noticeably more narrow and tight. Bought the Brooks Ghost 10 instead.
