I have worn ASICS for years. I last wore the gel-nimbus 18. I love my 18's and have ran in them for a long time. These 20's do not feel right. I don't know if it's still trying to break them in or not. The laces and top of the shoe do not feel right. They are very uncomfortable there and I have adjusted it many times. I am hoping that will eventually become comfortable. The bottom of the shoe feels good and runs well. That is my only complaint of the shoe.

I have been wearing size 5 1/2 ASICS for many many years. Recently ordered the gel Nimbus 20 in size 5 1/2 and they were too small and hurt my feet. Ordered another pair half a size bigger and the toe-box of the shoe
just isn't right. Not sure how my foot could change that much or is it the shoe?

I love the color and was excited to wear them. They are comfy but I think I should have sized up because they run small.

I ordered these in my normal size 8 and they were really good looking shoes, but wayyy too short in the toe!! I've always wore an 8!! I'm 58 years old. I love the shoes, but they just didn't fit me right!! I shipped them back this week. So far return has been easy.

They run too small, will return them back. I also wear gel-cumulus and kayano and they are fine. Don't understand why nimbus are so small. Otherwise they are good shoes

I love these sneakers with the exception of the toe box. The toe box is to small. Just widen the toe box just a little and they would be great.

ASICS seems to have joined the parade of shoe companies (along with Saucony), narrowing the toe box so that even the wide widths are too narrow for someone with wide feet. In addition to that, this shoe is just too small. I consistently wear an 11D. I can't even get my foot into the 11D. The 11 1/2 was also too short and narrow. Thank goodness for Zappos's return policy because now I'm going to try a 12. I have never worn a twelve. But I do like the look of this shoe in the dark blue, so I am giving it one more try. (And thank goodness that Brooks still makes wide shoes, so at least I have one pair of running shoes that I can wear.)
I'd also recommend:

I purchased these as the next shoe after my Asics Gel Nimbus 18. I trained in the 18 for a half marathon. As I wore the 20, I noticed my toes were getting numb with poor circulation- I felt the toe box did not accommodate my running sox well- the 18 did. I am back to training in the old 18 shoes, however they are quite worm out. Looking to try another shoe.

I actually already own this shoe but I saw it was onsite and wanted to grab another. I got it in a 2a because my foot runs narrow and my other pair always needed to be laced up tightly. This newest pair was too short. I was able to put it up against my other pair which I purchased in April and there is a noticeable size difference. So needless to say I had to return them. I am disappointed because my original pair was 160$ but these were on sale for 100$!!! Oh well.. We can't expect perfect shoes when they aren't made specifically for a person. So far my most recent order has included Brooks, New Balance and just two from Asics which used to be my favorites. I wear a size 13 medium to narrow womans sneaker and I am finding that this time through Zappos I found more running shoes in my size available through New Balance.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for many years. I used to love this shoe. Last year they narrowed the toe box, which was fine with me, but bothered a lot of people. The 20 version of this shoe felt like they removed all of the cushioning. My old Nimbus 18’s still had more cushioning than these. If they want to change the shoe this much, they should just create a new style shoe.

Long time fan of the Asics Nimbus style, fit, support and colors. Wore out my Nimbus 18 and went in to buy 2 more of the Nimbus - now 20s style... It has great arch support but this style sits lower around the ankle, and most certainly runs at least a 1/2 size too small. I am a solid 8 med, and I always size up to the 8.5 in all my athletic shoes. My toes were right against the end of the shoe...I may reorder 9s instead but going to check out in person for fit to be sure.

I wore Gel Nimbus previously with success. But as I age, I find the the higher heel of this shoe puts too much force on the ball of my foot. Unfortunately, I will send this back. Nothing wrong with the shoe -- it is good, but just not right for me.

I agree with other reviews that ASICS are not the same. They seem smaller particularly in the toe area. I am going to try a half size larger, but if this doesn't work I will also have to look elsewhere. I like the GEL shoe rather than foam and every shoe maker seems to want to go to foam, which in my opinion doesn't last as long and is not as supportive. I used to love REEBOK zigs. Wish I had bought 100 pair. I guess I could say the same thing about ASICS back about version 16. Buying shoes is more frustrating than ever.

I have narrow feet and these seem to be tight. I like the way they look and love ASICS, I may order a full size up next time.

I have purchased ASICS for years and measure a 7.5 in most shoes; few years ago had to go to size 8 in ASICS, am returning these because need a 8.5. I put my old pair up to new pair and definitely to small.

I stand on my feet for 12 hours and was looking for a great arch support sneaker.... Not too pleased with these. I always wear this brand but haven't been happy with this brand for awhile. I decided to try it again but not happy.. disappointed ??

I have worn Asics running shoes for years. I have a history of plantar fasciitis and need arch support and Asics has never disappointed. This is the first pair, however, that I have purchased, that has absolutely no arch support. I went and tried on my old Gel Nimbus and the arch support is great...they're just getting old and worn. These, sadly, are going back.

I have worn acics for years where I live they don’t sell them in my size so I decided to order online but I’m disappointed not being able to try them on they don’t fit well, I always get a 10.5 these are that size but there tight in a couple hours I have to take them off, I work on my feet all day and these just aren’t what I expected. It’s like they are a ten not ten and half

The gel nimbus 19 had so much more cushion!! I have been running in them for around 2 years so i figured i better get new ones and thought the 20's would be at least as comfortable but they felt NOT cushy on the soles!

Asics have always been my go to athletic shoe, they carry narrow widths which I need. And once I found what size I was in Asics, they've always been reliable to know the fit.
Until now.
Size 11AA was too short, which was surprsing.
Didn't keep it on long enough to assess support of the shoe as it being short was also throwing off positioning of arch support.
Not a bad looking shoe, not my preferred color choice but only one in my size.

Wanted to like these, I ran for years with the Nimbus and then switched to Brooks. Thought I’d give these another go. The toe box is a bit narrower than I remember, had to size up and that created a problem with the arch not being in the right place for my foot.

The fit and size are good. Love the style. I wear only Assics tennis shoes. My orthopedic dr suggested them for my knees and ankle. Can always tell when I need a new pair. The gel starts to flatten down. On my feet all day. Great support

I ordered these shoes for running, and I usually run about 20-25 miles a week. I ordered a half size larger like the manufacturer recommended, and in the wide width, because of some reviews that said the toe box was tight. I don’t normally order wide shoes, but my feet are borderline wide. They were ok to just walk around in, but still a little too small for running. Not long into my run they became uncomfortably tight on my toes. If I had ordered a full size up instead of a half size, they may have been ok. However, they also exacerbated an ongoing pain/discomfort that I have in my heel/ankle area. I supinate very slightly, so I thought these shoes which are for neutral to supinating runners would help alleviate that discomfort, but they made it worse. That could just be me, as it was a condition I was already dealing with. Anyway, even though I think these are super cute (I ordered the gray and pink ones) and I could have worn them just to kick around in, I need some good runners, so I sent them back.

Once my orthotic was in, I couldn't fit my foot into the shoe. I had even ordered up a size.
