I have always loved Asics and how my feet felt in them. The toe box is WAY TOO NARROW!!! I'm starting to wonder if I need to switch brands completely. Disappointing!

I've been wearing Asics for a long time and appreciate the width for narrow feet like mine. I know to buy a half size larger and chose the Porcelain Blue which looked so stylish! I don't know what it is, but one foot was just slightly too tight by the toe and didn't feel the way my old ones do. I think Asics keeps tinkering with the fit each time a new Gel Nimbus is introduced. It's quite frustrating. They were almost perfect, but the length felt slightly shorter than my old ones.

My old Nimbus 18s were fraying and, having read all of the reviews about the tight toeboxes and sizing differentials with new Nimbi models (i actually skipped the 19s and had bought a second pair of 18s, in the horrible neon pink color), I went with the recommendations and sized up to an 8 (my 18s and prior Nimbus purchases were 7.5s). the 8s are okay (the 7.5s would certainly have been too tight) and i can tell that the toebox is narrower. That said, despite the okay length, they are less cushioned and flexible in the forefoot. Maybe i should have waited a few more months for the Nimbus 21s to be debuted, but, my old shoes were falling apart and i didn't want to expend the energy to search for a new shoe brand.

I tried these (Nimbus) and the Cumulus, both in size 12M, and neither worked. Both were really narrow, the Nimbus especially - too narrow to have even a remote chance of fitting after wearing in. The length seemed perfect and the cushioning felt like it would be really cozy. I'm unlikely to try a size 12W for the added width because my heel was already pretty loose in the 12Ms. Sorry to have to send them back. For reference: The Cumulus seemed a bit less narrow but was shorter (too short); the width *might* have been ok after wearing in, but not the length. They went back too...

I wear these basically 24/7 due to back problems. I normally get about 6 month of life before needing a fresh pair. This series of Nimbus needed replacing after 2 months. Fabric started tearing after about a month and soles wore down sooner than normal. Im really disappointed with the nimbus series.

These Asics Gel-Nimbus 20's run small. My daughter has outgrown her Nike size 6.5 sneakers. She still wears her Nikes, although her toes are touching the top of the shoe. Based on that I ordered the Asics in a size 7.5. They were too small so I returned them and got a size 8. They too are too small. She will need an 8.5 in these shoes.

I was really surprised to be disappointed in these. I felt like the toe area was quite tight, and I have very narrow feet to begin with. I was hoping for a bit more cushion and arch support, but for $100 shoes, these felt like $20 shoes.

I bought 1/2 size bigger than my size & my big toes are being smashed. I thought it was because I needed to break them in at first, now I realize they run VERY small. I like the look & construction otherwise, but am extremely disappointed & frustrated by the sizing.

Ordered a wide width and was still too narrow. Design of laces was poor. Did not feel like they were able to be tied snug enough. Will be returning them. Not near as comfy as my gel nimbus 18s. So disappointing that the company has to change the fit & style.

The Gel Nimbus 18 are my favorite sneakers - the 19 and 20 are a very different fit. Probably need to go a full size larger.

Bought these to replace my version 17. They feel the same to me. They have some arch support, or you can replace the liner with your own. I use them for heavy exercise. I have to order 1/2 size up from my regular shoe size. I ordered the black with a white bottom. They look great.

The quality of the mesh is quite poor. These are the model I’ve been buying for years and they seem to be made with a new, flimsy mesh that I know will rip before the sole wears out. For that reason I returned them.

As per other reviews, I should have listened! The Nimbus 20 is now shorter, smaller toe box and much less gel. I have alway ordered sz. 9 as I have hammer toes which hurt me. My previous Nimbus sneakers fit perfectly, including the toe box being the correct size and the gel helped my sore feet....now they are short, stiff and uncomfortable!

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and a perfect fit. However, they are not very durable. After six weeks of normal wear only at the gym (cardio, weights), the sides under both ankles have worn through. For the cost, I had hoped for some durability. My other ASICS did this, but after almost a year of use.

I was disappointed that these shoes are now made narrower than before. (I should have heeded other reviews that said as much.) My pair of Nimbus 16, which fit my wide feet perfectly, finally wore out and I wanted to replace them with another pair of Asics, which has been my go-to brand for years. These 20s, although labeled wide, are uncomfortably tight. Too bad, because the cushioning is wonderful. Regrettably, I'll have to return this pair and move to another brand.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Saucony

I so wanted to love these shoes. But even with a wide width the toe box was too narrow for my feet. Other than that, they have a great combination of support and cushioning.

I love my asics but I'm not amused with the gel nimbus 20. The insoles are super stiff and as much as I have worn them I don't know if they will break in. I own gel nimbus 17 and 18 and I prefer both of them over the 20.

I have worn Asics Nimbus and Cumulus in the past and I keep trying to go back. However, they just don't measure up to competitors in my opinion. The Nimbus 20 is just okay....I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel and this shoe works for that. The arch support is good, but the cushioning (isn't that what Nimbus is all about????) is not even close to Hokas or Brooks. I walk a lot and need extra cushion which I am not finding in this shoe.

nice heel support, but there is not enough cushion in the toe, so it makes me feel like I am running in a high heel, which will murder my back and my knees. For the cost of these shoes, they are not supportive or cushioned like previous Nimbus that i've owned. They look decent though. I'll give them that.

I'm torn I only rated these shoes 3 stars because I bought them about a month ago and they are ALREADY ripping. This truly is a great pair of shoes for running and comfort wise they are great. For the amount of money I paid for these shoes I expect more. Im a runner and I only wear ASICS but I was super disappointed in the quality. I've never had a pair start to rip like this especially in the first month after I've barely worn them.

ran 350 miles on these shoes. Laces broke 3x and the sole was worn through. Finally felt comfy by the end of their life though. on a good note, Asics warranty covered a replacement pair. Now I am struggling with sore joints and knees because the shoes are too stiff out of the box :( not sure if I'd buy these again.

Love the ASICS shoe. Own the 650 Nimbus. Was excited to try these. But the toe box was extremely narrow. I can’t wear them for longer than a wal around the block.
