The gel-nimbus 20 is acceptable compared to the gel-nimbus19, but not as comfortable and wide as the 18. I've been a loyal Asics customer for years, but with recent changes, I'm concerned that I will have to look elsewhere. I know that others have expressed similar comments, but the nimbus 20 does not compare to the 18. As others have pleaded to bring back the 18 without success, I strongly urge Asics to listen to their loyal customers and reassess. Please bring back the design and fit of the gel-nimbus 18. I can't imagine that that is not feasible, especially considering customers commitment to the brand. Please reconsider.

Loved the show but not wide enough. No wide available

My first pair of ASICS , so I wasn't sure of the size. Turned out to be too narrow and one half size to small. Great shoe though. Needed them for travel so I couldn't wait for an exchange. I will probably get another pair, but will go in for a proper fit next time.

The Gel Nimbus 20 felt much better than the 19, which I had to send back. However, it still feels a little snug in the toe box. I would really like some consistency in the fit. I am a Personal Trainer. I am on my feet all day. I recommend shoes to people. I would like to recommend Asiscs.....

I really wanted to keep these shoes, however they run small and tight in the toe box.

Good shoe - comfortable and good fit. The arch support was good but did change to using customs arch supports.

I am always looking for good running/walking shoes that come in narrow widths. The Gel Nimbus 20 (Indigo Blue) I purchased fit my feet perfectly. The uppers are also pretty well cushioned. In my view, the Indigo Blue and overall design are the most attractive I've seen in a while. It is not for the over-pronator or those looking for serious arch support, however. I can wear them because of my custom-made orthotics. I have been wearing Asics for years and was especially fond of the GT-2000 series. The newer versions of that series no longer works for me...not enough overall support.
I'd also recommend:
I strongly recommend Hoka One One. Better support than the Asics I've had.

This pair is to replace a worn out pair from a couple of years ago, and the same size is too small. Still an awesome shoe, and the seashell pink is quite nice, I just have to go up 1/2 size so my toes have room.

These shoes in a wide are too tight. Way too small in toe box. I usually wear a Brooks Glycerin or Ghost and wide shoe is much more comfortable.

I have the 18's and LOVE them. Got a pair of 19's and they are tight across the toe area. Then I bought the 20's and they are better but still not as good as the 18's. I love the gel in the heel but the toe area could be better. Go back to the way18 is cut.

Much better great cushion but even wider would be great; more room for mid-foot width and slightly more for toe box. Size E width would be great; I have a super wide 6.5 and developed a foot neuroma, the wider the better. Thank you!

Unfortunately, I have a very narrow foot. I have been wearing Kayano’s for years. The Kayano 25 toe box is much too wide. This is my first Nimbus. The style, feel, support and fit are no where close to the previous Kayano’s. Very few options for a person with a narrow foot. Each shoe brand usually only offers one color in narrow.

I've been wearing ASICS for more than 10 years and was a HUGE fan of the gel nimbus 18 shoes. These are better than the 19s but could be a little cushier. Keep talking to your customers. It makes a big difference.

I have neutral to high arches and a longer 2nd toe and have usually ordered New Balance. As I've increased miles walking and started running, I noticed pain in the 2nd toe. A nurse friend recommended ASICS for the comfort. The arch support and cushioning is superb, feels like I'm walking on clouds and there is more "spring" in my step. The sole is a little wider under the heel which increases stability. I ordered these in black so there's not a lot of style to speak of (kind of looks like shoes worn by my grandma) but they do exactly what I hoped. No pain in my toes, decreased leg fatigue and exceptional support and comfort. A little pricey for me so while I'm keeping them, I probably won't order again as I'm not sure they are worth the extra money over the ASICS Gel-Excite 4 that I also ordered and kept. Time will tell and I'll update in the future.

I am a 10-10.5 in non athletic shoes. I needed an 11.5 in these. I use an orthotic insert so arch support isn’t perfect otherwise. Good cushioning, good ankle support. Wish they came in narrow!

I usually wear a 9.5 narrow. Sized up to 10. It was too short. Re-ordered the 10.5 and they are ok. A bit too big. But I kept them.

As written by others, this shoe does run narrow. However, I have a small, narrow foot and it fits me well. Comfortable.

Like many reviewers, I have bought several pairs of the Nimbus style and always the same size 8D with no problems. This is my second purchase of the same shoe but an 8-5D because my right toe in the size 8D was hitting the top of the shoe. Of course, I did not discover this until I went out walking and then the shoes were not returnable to a previous supplier. Obviously popular as I had to search for the same shoe in a size 8-5D and glad Zippos were able to oblige. So, my right foot has always been bigger than the left so always had to buy bigger to accommodate. Now I am wearing a size 8D left, and a size 8.5D on the right and everything is great. However, they turned into an expensive pair of sneakers which I hope not to do again.

Shoe fit great and felt good. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep them because of the high differential and how it threw my back off. I am also suffering with plantar fasciitis and they felt great for that but just too high for me at this tome.

Liked the shoe a lot but felt it ran short. I took a wife so toe box was larger. But it seems to run short & trying a half size up.

comfortable shoe but much narrower than previous gel-nimbus models. the wide version of this shoe fits closer to the regular/medium from previous years.

Nimbus are the only sneakers that really fit my very flat, very wide feet. After the disappointment that was the Nimbus 19, I was a little worried about the 20 - but they're fantastic, just as comfy as my Nimbus 17s! The only downside is, after two weeks of wear, the fabric at the top, around the ankle, has already split on both shoes! Massive bummer. I'm going to return and exchange these for an identical pair and hope that this was just a fluke.

I've been looking for new walking shoes since Asics stopped making the version I loved. Desperately wanted these to be good. They are very supportive and have a wide enough toe box. Unfortunately, they slipped at the heel and "flapped" when I walked--didn't seem to be breaking at the right spot so the front of my foot slapped down in a funny way. I'm returning them. Running out of other Asics options, wish I could find something.

I haven't worn them for a whole day yet but my initial overall opinion is good. They fit well after putting in my inserts and walking around the house. They aren't as cushioned as previous editions.
