great styling on this version of the Asics gel line. I do agree with other reviewers that the width is narrower than expected. I"m normal a medium width, but ordered wide based on previous reviews and I'm glad I did! felt slightly cramped for a day or two but after 2days and about 5 miles of walking - the shoe is very comfortable and I don't feel any cramping in the toe box. Make sure to order wide width even if you're normally a narrow. good support in the arch.

I’ve been wearing ASICS nimbus for many years and yes, they seem to be getting smaller and smaller with each model. I’ve gone from a 9.5 to a 10.5 over the years. This one fit the same as my 17’s do in length, but do seem alittle more narrow in the forefoot. There is definitely not as much cushion in the forefoot as my 17’s either. Usually when I put on a pair, they feel super cushioned, but these did not feel that way. I have only wore them once in the house so far, but will start wearing them to work on Monday and will see how they do. Will update review if needed.

Ordered 6 pair to try on and compare, and ordered this one in the 9 and 9.5. The 9.5 was oddly narrow - actually felt narrower than the 9 so it went back.
The 9 also felt narrow but not as narrow as the 9.5.
Ended up liking the Saucony Breakthrough 4 the best so am keeping that shoe.
I have been buying Saucony for several years and wanted to try another brand, but they are all going back, thanks to Zappos fabuous return policy - thank you!

I normally wear an 11, and I've had to move up to a 12 with my old pair of Asics. This time I had to move up again....no idea what's going on. I have a very high arch, and this shoe has moderate support. The gel cushioning is great.

I bought these shoes with the recommendation from my foot doctor for my foot. They are super comfy and light. I've been very happy with these shoes.

My very favorite running shoes. Great gel cushioning. Replaced them after six months and several races, got the same pair again.

Another great looking, high quality running sneaker from ASICs.
I've been buying these for years and I'm happy with every pair.
They do run a little small so order a half size up. When I buy the ASICs Kayanos, I usually put in an insert for extra arch support and heel cushioning but these are a little tighter so there isn't room for those. I guess I will do without and hope that doesn't cause any issues. I switched from the Kayanos to the Gel Nimbus because the ankles were a little high on the Kayanos and my feet were brushing against them when I ran causing the material around the ankles to rip. These have a lower ankle which you may like but if you want more ankle support, buy the ASICs Kayanos.

Some of these run small. I bought this shoe originally in grey, size 71/2 made in Indonesia and they fit perfectly. I ordered the same shoe in a differwnt color. The second pair was made in Vietnam and these were shorter so I had to order 1/2 size larger.

The shoes are very attractive and are true to size. But just like others I feel they are not as comfortable as the18 which were like walking on cushions. The toe box is improved.

I've been unable to work out for two years due to medical restrictions and having a baby, so I'm upgrading from from two year old shoes. I had Asics cumulus. From day one those shoes fit like a glove and were extremely cushy and supportive. Loved them. I was hoping for the same experience this time, but after reading reviews was disappointed to learn that I shouldn't expect that with the latest models.
As others have said, in two years things have changed and not for the better. After reading reviews I tried a couple of lower model Asics (thinking that perhaps they'd be comfortable enough without feeling that I had to justify the cost of a sub-par Nimbus) and the Brooks ghost 11. The former were incredibly stiff and the latter had a strange arch that started too far back on my heel, resulting in pain from just walking around the house (other than that they were cushy and supportive--maybe great for those with long, high arches). So I bit the bullet and ordered the Nimbus just to try, convinced that I'd be disappointed and send them back.
I wasn't entirely disappointed. Are they as roomy and cushy as even my Cumulus from 2 years ago? No. Are they better than anything else worth trying that are also supposed to be a perfect marriage of comfort and support? Yes. As soon as I put them on I knew I'd be keeping them. I personally LOVE the black/pink color combo, so that was nice, and they are very comfortable, just not "AHHHH" inducing like I'd hoped for the price point.
More specifically, as other have noted, they are running smaller. Now, I offer this input with the caveat that I had a baby, and my feet did grow (yay pregnancy), but my old sneakers still fit fine, so I tend to think it's the shoe. I find them narrower, too. Unfortunately, I fear that I'm just on the cusp of needing to size up-- I can ALMOST get a thumbs width at the end of the shoe. I fear going bigger will be too big, but staying at my old tried and true size is snug. I'm keeping them in the hopes that they loosen up a bit (and that maybe my feet will shrink back a bit). I can't do anything about the width because asics doesn't offer my size/color combo in wide. They really need to offer all sizes/colors in wide!
So all in all, not as bad as I expected based on reviews, but I see what others were complaining about. And they're still better than anything else I've tried.

Reviews suggested I could get these in the size 9 1/2 I have normally worn in Asics Gel Kayano, but it was not to be. They are too tight in the toes. One reviewer predicted this would be the problem. Now I'll exchange for a larger size. They are so pretty!

I have 3 pair of nimbus 17, and they are wearing out now. All of them are 7.5, my usual size, and fit well. the nimbus 20 seem to vary, according to color. The Indigo fit in 7.5, the porcelain blue and white were too small (the right shoe was tighter than the left), so I went up to an 8 which is fine. I didn't like the black/rose because the grey patterning turns out to be a metallic silver. wasn't for me. I also feel the Nimbus 17 were more cushy than the new Nimbus 20. I wish Asics would go back to the old footbed. It felt like walking on clouds.

I needed a new running shoe and after switching from ASICS to Nike for a short while, I needed to go back to my roots for running. The ASICS GEL Nimbus 20 is a really good shoe for those that have a high arch. Plenty of support while running. I only wished I purchased the wide width due to the arthritis in my big toes which as I'm getting older, make it harder to find a comfortable fit in the toe box. The standard width is just a bit too tight, but I have managed. Love the feel of the shoe and the gray color is appealing. Definitely a good purchase even though the shoe is quite pricey.

Loved my previous pair of Nimbus but something was wrong with left shoe of this pair. Felt very narrow across the top of my foot, at the bottom of the laces. Inspection inside seemed to reveal very bumpy finish work around lacings. Sending back and very disappointed.

Good shoe. More room in the toe box than the 19, but disappointed that this one seems to have less footbed cushion. Will wear for a day to day shoe, but not for running/training/impact. Ordering a pair of 19's while they are still available for the fantastic cushion. Please bring back the footbed cushion in future versions.

I love Zappos and order from you all the time! I have to say i was very unhappy to receive a pair of what looked like “used” shoes. This is the first time this has ever happened. The running shoes i have ordered year after year normally have a tag attached. These did not. The sole had marks on them. I will order again but during the time for a refund and reorder I’m inconvenienced. :(

My orthopedic referred me to ASICS due to my severe foot and back pains. I purchased my first pair and fell inlove with the Quantum 360. After a year of wearing them to work everyday I purchased the Gel Numbus 20. I regret switching due to the extreme pad support, but i love the comfort

Asics never have disappointed me. this is my second pair of shoes now. I love the nimbus! its seriously made running a whole lot more fun and I even ditched my orthopedic insoles! I cross train and decided to try this running shoe and it isn't just for running. anyone who has an issue with shoes not being comfy...I STRONGLY Recommend them getting these.
Asics stands behind their products which I absolutely love and you don't get that anymore. I seriously would purchase from Asics again for my next pair of shoes.

I am pleased with these shoes because they fit through the arch even though my foot is very narrrow. I did have to get them a full size larger than my non-athletic shoes.

If it hadn’t run so small I would have liked them. Should have read reviews that recommended ordering a size larger.

The toe box is not very generous compared to the other Asics, like the Kayano 6. Very nice styling and high points for comfort. However, this pair is going back because they ran too short in my normal size, 11.
