I loved the Gel Nimbus 16, they had cloud like cushioning and a wider toe box. This one is getting closer to the 16 in width, unfortunately the cushioning is still not great. The ball of my foot hurts after long runs. I would give 3.5 stars if it were an option. I don't know why they changed such an amazing shoe, still hoping they figure it out. I tried on the 21 and the cushioning was horrible, so I went back to the 20s I had last year.

I purchased a black pair of this shoe in the fall. After trying different sizes, I was able to find a good fit. They do run small. I was shocked to need such a big size! Once I had the right size and added my orthotics, I was very pleased with how the shoe performs. I had knee replacement last year and was still having issues and also had a foot/ankle problem I was dealing with. Long story short, I needed to get ready for spring so searched for this same shoe. I purchased these and am very pleased. I did not like the pink shoe laces so replaced them with some from another Asics pair that I hadn't worn much.

This is a great shoe! I feel the comfort is good. They are definitely not like the 17s... And I don’t know why ASICS feels like they have to change the make up of the new shoes... why mess with perfection!!!

I have worn Asics for years. Usually could wear 7.5 narrow (or one half size up from my normal 6.5-7 fit in regular shoes). I ordered a 7.5 medium and it's not big enough. Sending back. In the meantime, I ordered 8M. It fits fine. Like other reviewers say, you must order a full size larger and for me go from narrow to medium. I bought Under Armor for second pair. They feel good. 7.5.

I usually wear an 81/2 N. I returned the first pair for a half size larger.

This model isn’t as chunky as previous style. It also is much less comfy for my teaching feet , as my older gel Nimbus. Glad I already knew of that possibility before purchasing!

Needs more cushion overall especially in toe area. I will keep since I have a difficult time finding slim fit shoes.

The information on this shoe suggested ordering a half size larger. However, I did that the first time and had to send it back for a pair that is a full size larger. Other than that I like the shoe.

FINALLY! Asics changed their 19 style! Thank you! The last pair I got were just lousy--too tight, smaller, just lousy. The 20's are much better--fit more like my favorite 18,17,16,15--the great gel nimbus Asics. They are not quite the same as the fantastic 'lower than 19' models, but close and I will take it. The arch support is great, toe box sturdy (I use for step) and over all style A+. I have always ran a half size bigger in the gel nimbus and that has not changed, but these are so much better than the 19 version.
I'd also recommend:
none--I keep going back to the gel nimbus and have tried many others

I have been a regular wearer of this model. With the GEL-Nimbus 19 I wore a half size larger than normal. I was fitted at the running store for the 20 and they recommended I go up a full shoe size for this model. Thankfully, I did. I normally wear a 7 and purchased the size 8. It fits snugly at first, but it stretches some. I just bought a second pair, same size, in pink/grey. These are my favorite running shoe because of the cushion and slightly wider width.

I should have read the reviews more thoroughly. This shoe definitely runs small and narrow. I normally take wear size 11. But that is too short and would be especially painful going downhill. I ordered an 11.5 in wide. This fit well. I have never worn a wide shoe. Size 12 was too big. Overall this is a nice looking shoe and I look forward to putting many miles on them.

I generally wear a size 8 in running shoes, and my feet are slightly wide/high volume. The best fit in these for me was an 8.5W. Other than needing to get a larger/wide size, I’ve really been enjoying these. I’m getting back into running and have been using them several times a week to walk/run on a concrete path. I’m happy with the traction and overall comfort. Since I have high arches, I’ve yet to find a running shoe with sufficient arch support, and I’ve found that these are no exception. After a few weeks with the factory insole, I’ve swapped that out for a Superfeet green insole instead.

This shoe is big in the heel for me. Considering returning. Otherwise fits pretty well. ASICS seems to be all over the place in cushioning, sizing and fit. If a shoe is popular and everyone loves it, why change it? Shoe companies are clueless.

Getting a half size larger than normal and the wide width is necessary for the best comfort now that ASICS is making their shoes so narrow & slightly shorter. The padding/cushioning in the heel is amazing, and they are very stable so I don’t feel like my foot is rolling to the left or right with forward motion.

I was hesitant to buys these shoes as I see a lot of people don't think they were better than 19. Nimbus 19 was a huge disappointment for me too, so in the meantime I switched to Brooks, as 19 were unwearable. When 21 was released and I saw how ugly they are, I decided to try 20 at a store and honestly thought they were better than 19 (purchased yellow, they are beautiful; a pastel neon color). So far I only ran one 10k in them but did not get clauses and blisters as I did from 19. They did feel good to me, and my feet did not get numb. I do agree that they are not as good as 18 were, which are by far the best running shoes I have encountered. Not as soft as 18 and do not fit as pefectly (slightly tighter), but I have to admit that they are a bit more breathable. I wish someone starts a petition for return of Nimbus 18 :D

Asics makes a great shoe product. I have found the gel line to be very comfortable for my exercise and not too soft for supporting my foot. Unfortunately, I read the reviews and ordered 1/2 size up because of the narrow toe box: but this moved the arch support in the shoe as well. So I am returning for another.

I received my Gel Nimbus 20’s a day earlier than expected. Thank you. I like the look of this shoe. However, I am glad that I read the reviews prior to ordering as I had to order a 1/2 size larger (and they still feel a bit short) and the wide width feels snug on my foot. I do like the heel support that they offer as I am on underpronator...

These ran very small on me. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 (wide). The wide width is ok, but I had to reorder them in a 10.5 for them to fit.

I’ve been running in this model for years and, like many other reviewers, found the 20 to run small and more narrow. Definitely order a half size up. They don’t offer the same amount of cushion as the previous models, but still a solid running shoe.

The gel Nimbus 20 toe box is definitely roomier than the 19 but still more narrow than previous versions. This is probably the sixth pair of these running shoes I’ve purchased. I have plantar faciitis and these cushiony shoes are great, especially with a more structured insert. Highly recommended!

When I had plantar Fasciitis and a heel spur the Nimbus was the one that helped me get over it over a years time. Lately my ankle has been sore after long walks and thought I'd try it again. I normally where between a Women's size 10 or 11. I bought a size 11 Medium. I got my new pair on Thur and Fri morning walked 5 miles in them. They felt great. On Sat I wore them doing errands and by the end of the day couldn't wait to get out of them. The front of the shoe does not feel as roomy. My toes feel tight and next time think I will need to order a wide instead of my normal Medium/B size.

This shoe is exactly what I was looking for. I have been having heel pain and it feels great on. The support is good and keeps the foot in place. Love the look of the shoe and the color!
