I am very pleased with these sneakers. I returned the size 9 for the 8.5 which fit perfectly. There is a lot of support and they are super comfortable.

I was uncertain about buying these but they have proven excellent so far. My old shoes had been feeling tight in the toes lately so I went up a half size. They were comfortable right out of the box even when doing a lot of walking or wearing them for several hours. The way they lace keeps the tongue straight over my high arch. I like the grey color. Somehow glaring bright white seems a little too sporty for me these days.

I have a very hard foot to fit because all my toes about about the same length. These are the only pair of shoes that fit. I'm glad that I was able to get a different color besides white because these look a little more youthful.
I'd also recommend:
I only wear New Balance.

It is difficult finding this color shade. It is a cross between off white and light gray. It goes with so many things. I love these shoes and would definitely recommend.

I have Plantar Fasciitis, herniated disc, so quality shoes are a must. They definitely are not stylish but I have no feet or back issues when I wear them. Loved them so much, when it was time to buy a new pair of shoes I bought them again. They run a little large / wide which is perfect for me. My feet don't feel constricted but at the same time they have the support that they need.

Easy to break in.Large comfortable toe box. Removable liner so you can put in different custom liner. Unfortunately the suede gets dirty easily

Bought this product to wear walking & training. Have only had them a couple weeks but, so far, so good. They seem well put together and they are comfortable. I have back and knee pain, and these shoes have helped with that. I would reccommend these shoes to others.

Being a Senior Citizen , I need a good walking shoe with good support and this shoe is excellent. Was comfortable the first day I wore them. This pair is black and plan to purchase it in white also.

These shoes are comfortable the minute you put them on! I wear them everyday to work and they give me the support I need. I wear orthotics and there is enough space for them. As much as I like them, they seem a tad bit narrow for an Extra Wide Width. Not enough to return them, but a little concerning. Otherwise, I am very happy with the service from Zappos.

I have been wearing the women's New Balance 840 for YEARS now! I first discovered how much I loved this shoe when I actually had TWO new pairs (still in boxes) sitting in my closet. This shoe is perfect for every day wear or when I go out on a several mile walk. I love it!

I started buying New Balance on the advice of a Physical Therapist and his advice has never let me down. The walking shoes I just purchased fit well, are comfortable, and I don't have back or knee pain at the end of the day. This makes the third pair I have purchased in the last three or four years and I couldn't be happier.
