I used my NB shoes for everyday walking and hope to begin my walks on the beach again. I have been wearing New Balance shoes since about 1981 and don't wear any other athletic shoes although I have tried some. My favorite are New Balance. They have an arch and an insert that's comfortable to the foot bed. But I have my own orthotics. These are very comfortable shoes and my feet feel stable wearing them.

I love the black leather because it keeps the sand out and doesn't look dirty. The dew can't get on to get my socks wet like canvas shoes.

The fit is great (after two purchases of different sizes), very comfortable, too. I do a lot of standing, and walking, throughout my work day and I have no complaints. Absolutely love the fact that they are all black, from heel to toe, top to bottom.

I ordered these walking shoes for work. I'm a nurse & on my feet at least 12-14hrs/night

I purchased them for my 92 year old mother and they fit and feel great!

I bought these as I wear only New Balance and wear custom orthotics due to plantar fasciitis and a flat foot. I wear them for work and they're working fine. I love them and highly recommend them for anyone specially those with orthotics.

I wear the NB 840 primarily for walking my dogs on asphalt. I cover a little more than two miles most mornings. These shoes support my feet wonderfully and absorb the shock of walking on a hard surface. I also wear them for casual wear and for any other long walking events.

I absolutely love these shoes. They fit well and are comfortable when walking. I am a plus size individual and these hold up very well. Highly recommend them

I love these shoes. I walk a lot and these shoes are great for that. I also had foot surgery and these are wide enough in the toes that it doesn't bother the screws in the top of my foot.

The color was not as expected but not worth the hassle of returning.

Walking shoes. I have several pairs of these and wear them every day. I have a lot of supination and these shoes keep me in a much better alignment. It's hard to find shoes that support the supinated foot, and wearing ones to support pronation, like most sneakers, are uncomfortable and difficult to wear. I really like these.

I have a great idea for a commercial for all your shoes.

I wear these almost every day and every workout day. They support my feet well.

Theses are a perfect wide width for my feet, as other wide sneakers are to narrow in the toe area. Super comfortable for a full day at work and home. Made of quality material that doesn't crack or tear. They look nice and last.

Bought my first pair of these shoes in white a few years ago for work and loved them. I am on my feet all day at work and these shoes are very comfortable and supportive. However, unfortunately when I purchased the same shoe again I had issues with it rubbing on my pinky toes. When I called customer service they were so helpful. They not only refunded me for the shoe but they helped me find another shoe like this one that will hopefully help solve the issue and gave me a discount. It is so rare these days to find such incredible customer service!! I never write reviews on purchases but with this experience I felt I had to. Loyal New Balance customer for life now!!

I have very hard-to-fit feet: size 10EE. Need a wide toe box but not walk out of them at the heel. New Balance is my go-to source. These shoes fit well, don't chafe, and I can wear them all day without any discomfort. Lightweight and breathable.

Finally a shoe that is wide enough not to scrunch my toes and a tall enough toe box that does not bother my hammer toes. I already bought another pair and will buy another. Thank you New Balance for the choices I have.

I have been buying New Balance shoes ever since my podiatrist suggested them. They are comfortable wearing my orthotics, and I will continue purchasing New Balance shoes.

This is my 3rd pair of the 840 shoes. I have foot problems & they were recommended by my podiatrist. They are incredibly comfortable and light weight. I love the look of the white and the grey/tan suede shoes. I think they look stylish. The black pair I don't like the look of as well. I would buy more colors if they were available. They are that good!

I found the 840 v2 comfortable. This shoe fits well with the increased toe box room that I need to accommodate a full length orthotic. I thought it was a great walking shoe because my feet did not feel fatigued after wearing them.
