I was hoping these would be like the first 840 Walking shoe you made but this show is so far removed from the superiority of the original is astonishing. Holding this new version and the original in my hands - you can just tell that by the weight the v2 is missing something and that is SUPPORT. A cheaply made almost knock-off type.;

Honestly I feel like these shoes were so badly made. There were glue marks and loose stitching which meant the big N's on both the left and the right shoe started coming loose almost immediately. Sent back!

I didn't have a chance to wear them. I received the shoes with a big stain on the right shoe. It shouldn't happen that. Where are the NB standards? They shouldn't be sent out in this condition. Not happy about that. I would expect more for the price. I tried to reorder them, but they are out of stock for my size and width.

When you changed your sizing, and said to go up a half size, I did. i've tried several pairs of shoes since, and they just don't fit right. This pair was the worst. I don't know why in the world you ever changed it, but for me you absolutely ruined a good product. I'm done.

I tried 9.5 EE and it was huge. I ordered 9.5 D and they were way shorter. I can't find a size by ordering and these aren't sold in stores so it's basically impossible to get them

I wore New Balance for at least 11 years and something changed in the toe box in 2019. I went up a half size to 8 and it still didn't fit. I am so disappointed. Now I wear Propet.

IN MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE 840 NB IS - BE VERY CAREFUL DRIVING. MY RIGHT SOLE GETS CAUGHT ON MY BRAKE PEDAL FREQUENTLY. TERRIBLE DESIGN ON SOLE FOR DRIVING. I CONTACTED NEW BALANCE ABOUT THIS SHOE AND THIS ISSUE BUT THEY NEVER RESPONDED - WONDER WHY? ONLY USE THEM DUE TO HAMMERTOES OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT USE THEM AT ALL.

This shoe and all other New Balance shoes I've tried lately seem different then they have been in the past.
I've worn New Balance shoes for years and very disappointed that I can not find a comfortable shoe in the brand I loved. Have they changed hands, sold out or changed manufacturers? Whatever the reason they lost me as a customer.

I was so hoping that this shoe was going to work for me. I bought the same shoe last year and it worked out great. Well, this year I needed a new pair of shoes so I bought this again. It was terrible. The heel of the shoe made my left foot hurt. It was wait to tight for this heel. What happened New Balance why do you always change the shoe. This has happened to much the last couple of years. Like some have posted I am now looking for a new shoe company. I have worn New Balance for years and loved them. Why did you change. Now the hard search of looking for a new shoe that will not break the band. By New Balance.

Tried these on in store and discussed with the salesman that they felt warm. He said get dri fit socks and they would be fine. Shouldn't have listened, they are very warm.
