The width was fine. The heel depth was too deep. The toe box felt cramped. Had to return these.

These seem to run wide, I tried them out at home and when walking they bunched up at the toe box. They also look very geriatric....but I could have overlooked it if they worked!

These shoes are very stiff. I need more flexible shoes.

Just not the same shoe I have been wearing, so will return. Color is not white, and it feels like plastic....not the same quality I have seen from New Balance.

This is the best walking shoe I've ever worn. These shoes never let me down — until recently. They used to last me a year, but now I'm lucky if I get 6 months out of a pair before the cushioning is gone. The rest of the shoe is still in reasonable shape, but aching feet at the end of the day is the sure sign that it's time for new shoes. I'm looking for a replacement that will last longer.

The fit was good BUT it lacked the cushion that I was looking for. They seemed a bit hard and unyielding.

wanted so badly to love these after reading positive reviews but after 2nd or 3rd day of wearing these to work my feet are still sore and my big toe too, my legs are tired and sore from working on my feet and really prayed for a pair of sneakers that would make my feet not hurt after being on feet for hours, unfortunately my feet still hurt. Also, didtn have these in black in my size.

Problem is I needed to return the shoe and it did not come with return label, upon calling cs I had to give them all of my personal info over the phone just to get a return label. Too much trouble!

I have a bunion on the left foot so I'm problematic to fit. However, I used to be able to rely on New Balance walking shoes almost exclusively, but over the last 2 years NB hasn't had one shoe that I can wear comfortably. Even to the point of the last pair severly hurting my feet and ankles. In desperation I went back to EasySpirit which I had worn years ago, and whew! What a relief. If my feet were still a perfect 10, the Romy would be perfect. With the bunion, the size 10 W is a little tight, but I'm wearing them loose for a bit and they're feeling like they will work, and after just a few days my feet don't hurt. So totally worth it.

As much as I would have liked to write a positive review, these shoes crippled my foot. Couldn’t walk for two days. They have now been returned. Can’t say I would recommend them to anyone.

This is the third or fourth pair of NB840v2, size 8D, that I have purchased over the last few years. This newest pair is much, much wider than the previous pairs. The shoes are so wide that I wonder if the size were marked incorrectly or if New Balance actually changed the dimensions of this shoe. I am very disappointed.
