Was larger than normal boots in this size.

I bought these beautiful boots in slate for my daughter who wears an 8 or 81/2 shoe. I got her the 81/2 first, but her heal would move around to much when she walked. We immediately exchanged them for the 8, which is pretty much her true size, & they fit perfectly. She loves the color, the style & the comfort! We both love our Frye’s!

I love these boots. I'm a 6.5 sometimes 7 and I ordered the 7 and they fit great. Right out of the box I wore them and I was comfortable all night - no break it period at all. I'm picky and I'll only wear comfortable shoes. They are amazing quality, and the dark brown leather is beautiful. Can be dressed up or down. Highly recommend!

These are wonderful. I purchased a black pair last year and loved them so the brown pair is a great addition. I moved a half size up in order to pull on the boots more easily. They fit just fine.

These boots are fabulous! I feel they are true to size. I wear a 7.5 in Lucky boots. I ordered a 7.5 in these, & they are perfect. They are a little hard to slip on the heel as other reviews report. I have not worn them yet, so that is why I have a 4 on comfort. They are a little stuff now but feel they will break in quickly. The leather is amazing!

the wonderful leather smell wafts as i open the box. the boots are soft and supple and seem to be well made. they slide easily on and are comfortable right out of the box. i am only 5'2" so they come up almost to my knee, but the shape at the top allows my leg to move freely. i normally wear an 8, so i ordered that first, but found them to be sloppy and too big in the calf. i would suggest ordering a half size down because the 7.5 fits well. i have a narrow foot so with the addition of an insole they fit nicely. zappos is awesome...the boots arrived in a day...even at christmas time.

It is so hard to find boots that don't have a zipper and this is the one! It took awhile to get my feet all the way inside the boot the first time, but once my foot was in, they felt soooo good. Extremely comfortable. The color is gorgeous and the boot looks very well-made.

Love these boots! They finally went on sale so I got them. Great leather, very soft. I had to put an insert in because it seemed to me I needed a little cushion to be in them all day. I am 5'2 and the height of the boot is good. If you have a large calf or ankles the other reviews are correct they will be hard to get on and off. These boots are great to dress up or down.

I originally ordered the size 8 but it was too tight to pull on. I switched them out for the 8.5 & those fit perfect. Customer service was AWESOME! she had the new pair shipped to me overnight - LOVE THESE BOOTS!

Love these! Had trouble getting the left one on because they were a little narrow in the ankle, making it difficult to get my foot in. However, these are comfortable for boots. I purchased the "slate" ones & the color of the leather is beautiful! Go great with anything.

Got instant compliments wearing the boots. I have fairly big calves but they still fit and they are comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful boot! I bought Redwood and the color is stunning (a reddish brown). The leather has that polished look where the light makes the color of the leather stand out beautifully. The Redwood color is not the rugged or "antiqued" leather look like some of my other Frye boots, but I was looking for something different so this fit the bill. As for comfort, these are so comfortable right out of the box! I love Frye boots, and I've always bought ones with heels, so these were the first pair of "flat" boots I've purchased. I don't usually like flat shoes and flat boots, as I personally find flat shoes very uncomfortable to walk in. These have a 1 inch heel, which is perfect so that they aren't too flat. They are supportive in the foot bed. The quality of these boots is up to par with what I've purchased in the past from Frye/Zappos. Frye boots tend to run a little big, so I ordered these in my "normal" shoe size, which meant they fit but I can still wear socks and feel comfortable. By the way, Zappos' customer service is outstanding. I had a problem with the first pair of boots I ordered (they were damaged) and they immediately issued a refund and started the exchange process for me. I can't say enough about the customer service from Zappos -- I will continue to buy from them because you can't find customer service like that many other places nowadays!

Just wanted to change colors

These are the cutest boots ever. I love them so much. They are a bit hard to put on, but they are the real deal.

At first my wife thought they were to small and I sent for a return label. Then she changed to a thinner pair of socks and they fit perfect. That’s why I didn’t return.

These boots are gorgeous! They do run a bit small through the lower shaft where the ankle and the calf meet. I had to order up a half size to find the perfect fit! Love, love, love them!

These boots are beautiful! A bit difficult to get on because there is no zipper or loops to pull them on.

Super stylish and comfortable! The calf width is much better with these. So glad I finally found my boots!!

I love these boots!

This is a beautiful boot—it just took me three sizes to get right. It runs very long and a little narrow. Size down half size for sure. Extended calf is great for jeans or anyone with muscular calves.

The fit is pretty good. I'm 5'10" and about 160 lbs, I purchased a size 8. I had no problems pulling the boots on and over my ankles. The soles are a bit slippery depending on the surface I'm walking - no traction. The leather is soft and comforting. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I normally wear an 8.5 but I wear orthodics so I got a 9 and it’s perfect. Without orthodics, I would have ordered an 8.5 and it would have been perfect. I had no problem pulling them on as I have skinny ankles. I have slender calves so I wish the calf circumference was less, but it looks fine. The leather is high quality which I would expect for the price and from Frye. I love the sleek/classic design. I wear them to work and for play. LOVE them!!!
