The boot is running slightly large. I wear 8.5 flat and 9.5 3-3.5inch heel. I have a narrow-medium foot. These boots were too large in the 8.5 ordered and were returned. Afraid of ordering the 8, as this style is a slip on. Returned and went with a different style all together.

I love Frye boots and traditionally, they have been great quality and lasted years. I owned a previously pair of Melissa Button boots that lasts me 8 great years. When I received this new pair, it wasnt directly from Frye (I ordered online here) but it was from a 3rd party seller. Both boots were scratched like they were already worn or a floor model somewhere. Before I went to try them on, I reached inside to pull out the filler paper, only to find both heels of the boots were torn. Extremely disappointing for a boot and brand that at one point was great quality. It also seems like the boots are harder to put on your feet than they once were. Again, same size/boot I had years ago. Frye Customer service is also extremely hard to get a hold of. On wait for hours collectively. A big disappointment all around.

With most of today's boots made of "anything but leather", Frye consistently makes a quality boot. The only thing I would change about these is perhaps adding more of a rugged sole.

I purchased the Melissa Button 2 in a regular width. I've never had to use wide in any shoe's so I ordered my usual. This isn't my first Frye boots. But these are absolutely tight around the calves. I have been calling almost every day more than twice for the past 2 weeks and have left messages and sent 1 email and I haven't been contacted by anyone. Finally today after calling 9 times someone answered, and didn't help instead she hung up on me. I bought the boots on cyber monday and the representative wouldn't do an exchange for the price I bought it for. She wanted to charge me for today's sale instead. All I need is the same color, style and size but in a wide. Otherwise I just want a full refund before the 30 day is up.

I love these boots. They are immediately comfortable upon first wearing, which is notable because as someone with bunions, I typically need to wear shoes several times before they fit right. Im also fairly short (52 and usually need to order petite pants so they dont drag) so I was worried that the shaft would be too tall, but they stop a couple inches below the knee and fit my calves perfectly. (Also, the bag trick is ingenious. Thanks to all in the comments mentioning that!)

They were not the right fit, couldn't get them on over the top of foot.Sent them back.

Despite other reviews, the shoes do not run small. The neck is very tricky to put on, though. The outside leather is a beautiful, soft leather with a rich color. But these shoes are impossible to put on or take off. They're going back.

It is a beautiful boot. I've owned this pair in the past. But these are impossible to get over my foot. I tried everything to no avail and needed to return. :(

I love my Melissa Button 2 in Brown, the 8 1/2 fit perfectly ! Unfortunately, the black pair did not. I was not able to get mt foot into the boot and had to return them.

I love Frye boots. But, this one did not fit right. Hard to put my narrow foot into the boot, and once on it was way too big. The return experience was also a one-star. Very difficult to get any help. I wanted to exchange them, but ended up returning them for a full refund.

These boots are comfortable and good quality. I love them! The color is beautiful, the width is perfect! The height of these are great to wear with dresses! Thank you again for making such quality, comfortable products!

Gorgeous- but a little tight with instep so I suggest leather softener if needed

Boot is pretty but very tight at ankle and I couldn't get my foot in . And I had to pay to send it back ($12). Won't buy from them again.

I just got these in the mail and they look just like they're pictured online. They're easy to put on and take off, which is nice considering there's no zipper. They run very long, though. I just exchanged them for half a size smaller, which I still think will be a little big (planning on wearing these with thicker socks). I'd definitely size down when ordering. The calf is a bit roomy too.

Beautiful boot but you shouldnt have to fight the boot to get it on! Why! Never had this problem with my other boots of different brands. Im not the only one, seems to be a common complaint. Not sure if Im keeping them or not, still deciding if its worth the fight.

These are gorgeous boots and they fit great. I generally wear a size 11 or 11 1/2 and they were right on at 11 with a little wiggle room for comfort. They have a beautiful classy style to them, I'm pleased with the choice I made.

Awful. Cant get the boot on. I sized up on another pair and same thing.

My wife bought these. She wears size 10M. Thats the size ordered. She tried for half an hour to put the first boot on. She could not get her heel in. How can I give more than one star? My boots arrive tomorrow. Hopefully they will be FIVE stars! We had to pay to ship the boots both ways plus pay for a return label. Time energy and MONEY just to try em on.
