The fit was good, but the bottom of the boots are so slick, EVEN on carpet I was sliding, however, I might have kept them but on the left outer part of the boot was a mark scrapped on the side.

These are a beautiful, warm color. The sole and the leather is lightweight, not heavy the way boots usually are. It’s pretty true to size, if on the narrow side, and almost to my knee—I’m almost 5’9 and boots tend to be short on me. The heels are slippy but apparently the heel will settle after a while (according to another review). Overall, the leather is very soft and this is nice but I wonder about how it would wear—it couldn’t hold up to stuffing jeans under it, for example. One of my feet is a 10 and ½ so I tried these—they’re on the narrow side and it was a tight squeeze getting my foot in, but there was good room in the toe, so true to size. Very nice to walk in, too, just not convinced they would hold up for the money.

I got 1/2 size bigger than normal for bigger socks. I love these boots. They are beautiful and even better, no zipper. I have thin legs so they are just fine in the calf. And even better, if I get to go riding again, I can wear them with pride!

These boots are gorgeous and high-quality but ultimately had a more western look than I wanted and were a bit slim through the calf. The leather smells incredible and looks very expensive. It did have an unfinished quality that makes me suspect it could be stained by water, mud or something spilling on it. They also felt a bit stiff but I imagine they will soften with wear as they are real leather.

Very cute and sturdy. Can be refurbished (conditioned/repaired) which is a plus. I got the redwood - awesome color, not too red, goes with a lot of different looks. The only bummer is the slippery sole. Can't wear it in wet /snowy weather, too dangerous! Also too tight to get warm socks on so I reserve these for spring/fall. Overall very happy with my purchase, no regrets.

I saw these boots on someone else and knew I wanted a pair. They are beautiful. I wear a pretty true 7.5 and the boot was easy to slide on, but unfortunately the heel slipped when I walked in them. Perhaps I could have gotten an insert, but I didn't want to deal with the insert slipping when I pulled the boot on because there is no zipper and it might have been annoying. I returned these and got the Born Mayall which it is very soft and supple and easy to put on and I really love them.

Beautiful boots. Super high quality leather. They were a bit narrow for me and felt a bit small overall. I ordered a 10 and think the 11 would just be too big. Normally wear a 10 or 9 1/2. Sadly, I think the potential for a good fit would mean a painful break-in process and so they’re going back.

These boots are beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I could not get my foot into the boot. I have high arches, and with the slim, no zipper-style of this boot, it just wasn’t happening. Sadly, these have to go back.

Beautiful boot, but I cannot explain how hard it is to get the shoe on and off. Once once, it fit perfectly. But the work to get there...pushing the foot in past the ankle bend...was extremely challenging. And there was definitely a moment when I was panicked thinking I might not be able to get it off. I've happily worn the boot several times now, but it is not my go-to because it's just a PITA to get on!

These boots were absolutely gorgeous but sadly had to go back. There was a small wrinkle on the heel of the foot bed and I felt it when I walked. I purchased them in the color smoke which was beautiful, and more of a dark brown color than grey. The extended calf had comfortable, ample room for my average sized legs but made it a little baggy in the ankle.

First ordered 1/2 size up because of reviews. I actually needed my regular size so reordered. They are very comfortable and true to size. Had absolutely no problem getting on and off. In fact they feel a little loose around the ankle but stay on the foot. I reordered in the cognac color and found them very distressed. I will keep but buy shoe dye to mask the distressing as I like a more even leather surface look. I have thin calves and found them roomy.

These arrived within two days! they are super comfortable, a bit difficult to take on and off though. The color is vibrant and true to the description. Overall I'm very happy with them!

I love these boots. I love the fit. I love the style. They are a perfect all around boot in that they and go with a dressy look or a very casual look. If I could change anything, it would be for Frye to add some cushioning to the inner sole. Also, the toe area was more brown than the image online. Even with those couple of things that I would change, I am very pleased with these boots. : )

The look and smell of this boot is beautiful. Unfortunately, I could not even get my wide foot past the shaft and into the shoe.

Love them! Little hard to pull off but love them!

I absolutely love these boots. They are very well made and I love how snug they are on my calf with leggings. I have a narrow heel and medium width foot and wear an 8M in most boots. I tried them on when they arrived with thin socks and had to work a little to get them on since the leather is stiff. I needed help getting them off, but I know from owning cowboy boots, that they need to be broken in. I tried putting them on again that evening and couldn't get my left foot in. My right foot went in, but nothing I did allowed me to get my foot in the boot despite having on very thin socks. I tried again later with no success. I thought I'd wait until the next day and try again since they went on once. My right foot went in, but I couldn't get my left foot in the boot. I understand that they are stiff and have to be broken in, but I think I need a boot with a zipper. The lack of "pull tags" on these tall boots makes getting in and out of them difficult. Sadly, I have to return them because the left boot is not a comfortable fit.

These boots are Fryes, so they're a well-made boot. Only problem I had is that they say they're wide-calf, 15.5" and they're tight on my calf. I do have a big calf 14.5". I can wear these boots with skinny jeans, I push them down a little, but I'd never get them over a thicker pant. I still love them though.

The boots are beautiful and have that amazing leather smell; however, the her part rubbed and the ankle was tight so I don’t want to take the risk of wearing them to stretch out and then being stuck with them if that didn’t happen so I had to return.

Apparently the extended calf also means the toe width is also wider. While the regular width was too small, the width on this boot was fine, but the heel was so loose it rubbed up and down and made it difficult to walk as it kept flopping off my heel. So, returning. May try in a smaller size.
