This is my fourth or fifth pair of 928s. Great walking shoe with plenty of support, and I like the fact that they come in wide widths. Their only drawback is that their traction on wet or icy surfaces is poor, so I can't recommend them for winter use or walking on slick, wet paving stones.

The shoe is attractive and seems to be well made. So far, after about 3 weeks it seems to be wearing well and is comfortable. However the marked sizes are not reliable. I initially got a size 16 x -wide (4E) and that is how it was marked. The length was ok but I thought a bit wider would be better so I ordered a second shoe in 16 xx-wide (6E) and that was how it was marked. However it is exactly (to within 1 mm) the same width as the 4E, so I didn't gain any width in going from 4E to 6E. I am going to keep them both as the fit is close enough and size 16 in anything is almost impossible to find. However if sizing is crucial you should try it on in the store or if ordering online as I did be prepared to return it maybe multiple times.

Previous to these shoes, I have been wearing the MW813 walking shoe for several years and was disappointed by the poor life and performance of PU-Leather (plastic leather substitute) used for the entire upper of the 813. I was pleased to find that the MW928 v3 had leather uppers and foot bed style of the well fitting 813 while improving comfort and durability. The 928 v3 is a comfortable shoe and supports well while walking on streets and other paved surfaces. It felt "broken in" from first use. Seems true to size. Due to the flat sole design I would not recommend it for trail use. It is a nicely styled lace-up, and will work with "business casual" in most cases as an all-day shoe. Since the uppers are leather they can be kept smart-looking with a little shoe polish, something that doesn't work with PU-Leather shoes. Soles have reasonable wet grip on moderately smooth surfaces. Not sure of sole wear since they are new to me. One issue I had with them were the extra long shoe laces they came with. Although many modern synthetic laces stretch with time, these were so long I had to cut 10" off them to keep the ends from dragging on the ground and tripping myself be stepping on them after my first walk. It appears that a 44" lace would be much better. Cost is considerably higher than the MW813, but if they wear better, the higher price will be worth it.

Seems to run a little wide. But then again could just be roomy being a walking shoe!!

This is my seventh pair of New Balance walking shoes. Obviously, I love them. This was first time the outside box AND inside shoe box were completely ripped open from side-to-side and taped up. Fortunately, the shoes were fine. Black NB walking shoes must not be desired by everyone.

I have to wear a really good shoe due to reconstructive surgery on one of my feet and my surgeon suggested New Balance. It's all I've worn for the past 4 years and I would recommend them to anyone. The only issue I experienced was with ordering online. The shoe width on the inside of my shoe is different than the widths listed on the website so when I ordered, I got the wrong width. It would help if the website matched what's printed on the shoe.

As anticipated based on previous purchases, my 928v3s fit perfectly. I began wearing them without any need for a break in period. Would purchase again without question.

I've worn New Balance for 3 + decades always a size 11 4E. These were far too long. I've returned them and ordered a 10.5.

I need a shoe that has a wide toe box. This shoe has just that. Don't know why they include such a long shoe lace. I think the shoe is a little over priced.

I was pleasantly surprised to have these shoes arrive and actually fit. I have so much trouble finding shoes in my size that are actually the right size. I need the xxwide and New Balance meets that need. I have only worn them a short time so I don't know how they will hold up, or I would have given 5 stars. I am very happy with the look and feel of the shoes as well as the materials seem to be decent quality.

Good walking shoe that is comfortable albeit a bit bulky (heavy). I prefer a show a bit more lithe and light weight but it's a good shoe. Appears to be of high quality and well made.

New Balance builds one of the best walking shoes available. The heavy sole, well-shaped arch support, and strong side walls insure that these shoes can go the distance. However, I was disappointed to see that a shoe which had always been made here in the U. S. in now made in Vietnam. That said, the quality does seem to be up to former U.S. standards. Time will tell.

This version is very comfortable, the slip proof soul is really nice and give one a sense of security. The only negative for this shoe is the increase in weight. These are much heavier than the previous version. Lighten them up and they will be close to perfect.

I have worn the 928 shoes for years and, really, wear almost nothing else - except for the random dress shoe when occasion demands. The 928s are supportive and comfortable. The original 928 years ago was better made and seemed to fit better, but the v3 version beats all the competition I've tried. Other than going back to the original 928, I can't think of any improvements needed.

The 928v3 is an excellent shoe. The first size I ordered was too large, so I returned it and asked for a half size smaller. The process was smooth and exceptionally fast. The smaller shoes fit well, and provide good arch support. I have neuropathy in my feet and spend a lot of time looking for comfortable shoes. These were the most comfortable walking shoes that I have found.

I have used this model before and used it for all day wearing at work and longer walks during breaks and when I decide to exercise by walking. No problems doing 5 miles daily.

I have been looking for an extra wide walking shoe for quite some time, and have purchased and returned many-a pair looking for the right one. The New Balance 6E fits the bill. The styling is pretty much "Dad", but I will take it for the comfort. Now hopefully, New Balance will make even more styles in this size.

I will use the product instead of black oxfords when I do performances with a mixed chorus. I need them for support, as the chorus may have to stand for an hour or more,

I've got really wide feet and I got the widest size and I'm impressed. The shoes are pretty comfortable and I wear them as my main pair of shoes.
