The Speed Goat 2 is an outstanding trail running shoe. I have run 36 miles in the shoes so far and I am impressed with the comfortable feel and soft cushion that makes hard landings on rocky surfaces pleasurable. I was so impressed with them that I bought my girlfriend a pair and she loves her's too.

After two 100k races and hundreds of miles training, I can honestly say that this is my fav trail shoe. In the last year I've tried solomon, altra, even atr3s and atr4s. The speedgoat 2 is legit! It runs 1/2 size smaller than average, so size up a bit. Love the comfort for big miles, love the looks, love the rocker. Actually, love them more than my Cliftons for the road. Keep it up hoka!

My first pair has between 200-250 miles, once I realized I liked these shoes I went ahead and got a second pair.

Received these as a Christmas gift! Ran an easy 5 miles right out of the box in heavy Michigan winter snow. Loved the traction and the over all feel of this Hoka. Looking forward to running on trails in the early spring but for now I'll keep running in the snow. Another great Hoka running shoe! Loved the feel so much I just ordered a second pair!

I run aan Spartan race with these shoes and it felt great

Just finished my fifth run in these shoes, a hilly ten on icy singletrack, and was thrilled with how secure and nimble I felt in these shoes. I liked the first Speedgoats, but the new model is even better. Great fit and traction. I'll buy another pair, no doubt.

My last run of 2017 was incredible! I'm looking forward to many more trail miles in my speed goats in 2018!

I ordered these after hearing about the reviews for this company. I was hesitant to spend the money at first and couldn't afford it. I finished paramedic training recently and got a new job. It seem like the right thing to do to buy these. I was blown away! I trail run regularly and also go to the gym regularly. I have only worn the shoes going both places because they have been so dramatically different than my other shoes that I have been buying for years. Way to go! I highly recommend these...

Awesome grip. Finally a wide toe box! Everything i was hoping the original speedgoat would be. Wears a little fast but lasts plenty long for me to get my 400-500 miles out of it anyway so not a concern.

Best for walking & Jogging

These are the first shoes I've found that I can run 100 miles in without changing to a different shoe part way through to ease foot pain. They have great grip and they drain well in stream crossings, too! The original Speedgoat was narrow and uncomfortable, but these are darned close to perfect! I've been wearing Hoka on roads for years, and I'm glad there is now a trail Hoka that works for me!

Love how my feet don't slide around in this shoe. The grip is FANTASTIC! It runs much more narrow than my Arahis.. and that's because I went half size up. So be mindful of this if you love a wide toe box.

This purchase was a gift for my boyfriend who had already purchased two pairs earlier this year. He runs ultras regularly and these provide the cushion he needs for the hours he spends on his feet:

Love this shoe, since using them my knees are a lot better after a run. My mother in law calls them my clown shoes but happy to go for a run in then when she visits.

Avg 15 miles per week. Only 2 weeks in but great so far.

Will always run in Hoka's, keeps the PF at bay. Comfy and fast out of the box!

a great trail shoe for any length distance or race

This shoe has it all. Cushioning, support, traction, and an amazing fit. So comfortable on long trail runs. Roots, rocks, and mud..it handles everything with ease. Looking forward to the next race.

I have been wearing Hoka's for nearly 10 years now. I cannot be a bigger fan. I really like the SpeedGoat 2.0's over the Stinson/Challengers that I used to wear. However, if y'all are switching from the Stinson/Challenger over to the SpeedGoats, go a half size up. Your toenails will thank me later. :)

Have about 100 miles on this pair and am enjoying them for the trail. Love love to see a little more width, but not a problem for my average width feet. Just the right amount of traction for the technical trails and a fair amount of cushion. I'm training and racing trails in these shoes. Overall, I'd say great job Hoka!

If I could put together a perfect trail shoe this is it. Grippy bottom for dry, mud and single track: CHECK. Comfy/pillow HOKA feel: CHECK. 18 mile break-in run w/o blisters? CHECK. Found my new trail shoe!
