I've worn a previous pair on my mixed run/hikes and climbing big mountains in Colorado. Not so stable on steep lose-rock slopes, but I haven't found anything better or close.

Love love love these, I love Hokas bc they are so comfortable, the nice thing about these is that they aren’t that ugly, they are more narrow than their other ones, true to size

It's a true racing shoe, you will feel like there nothing like this trail shoe, and you will never forget the first sensation when you use them for the first time, you will be so happy after your first running session. the grip it's so agressive that you don't need to worried about going downhill or uphill, you just run as hard as you want without any doubt, in short words you feel like you became a super hero!!!!!! And I can promise you that you will running at least 15 to 20 seconds faster per mile. In my case I'm 7% faster I was making 8:38min average and improve in just my first session to 8:12 min average, with 350 ft. of elevation gain average per mile and I'm will still improve .

First time buying. Hoka. Won't be my last.

I've worn the Speed Goat hiking in Alaska's snowy and muddy spring trails. Perfect shoes for feeling the trail under your feet yet still waterproof protection. Hoping to wear them all summer hiking and on the Camino.

I live in Canmore with trails and mountains on all sides. I found this shoe has great traction on snow and ice, even on trails I previously would have worn spikes. In the spring the shoes vibram soles were great on wet rock and mud. The cushioning helps my knees and the shoes are stable. They don't have the ankle support my old La Sportivas had thought . They fit tight at first but stretched out after a few runs

love the shoes right out of the box. Laces are a pain...they are too short to tie a healthy double bow which every trail runner needs

This is the third pair of Hoka One Ones that I have owned and it is just as comfortable as I expected. It seems to run a little narrow with a slightly smaller to box than the others. I use them for walking and hiking on uneven surfaces and they are great.

This shoe is super comfortable and handles well over rocks and in mud. It's super comfy in gravel and fits well. Ran a couple of easy short runs before diving into a 50miler and I am so glad I did. I trust these shoes.

I have had foot problems for a few months and was looking for a shoe with REALLY GOOD support. These are great!

i had the premodel Speedgoat and i like it. Now the new version is much better.

This is the first pair of trail running shoes I purchased after I did some extensive online research. Last weekend I wore it to go on a 5 hours hiking trip and my feet felt so comfortable in them. No need to break in. I really love the light weight of the shoes. I am preparing to buy an extra pair as I plan to go hiking every weekend for a great work out.

Hiking

I tested out my Speedgoat 2s on the trails and I'm super ecstatic about these sneakers. They're not too heavy, great colors and my feet feel wonderful on the pavement. Often times, I worry about a sneaker because I have a flat, semi wide foot and I am a plus size ultra marathoner. Being in the back of the pack means I'm outside for hours while everyone's showering and resting. Hands down--this is probably the BEST trail sneaker that I've touched thus far.

I hope I never see a Speedgoat "3" come out. I have never run in a better pair of shoes, let alone a pair that allowed me to run again with no aches and pains anywhere. Shoe companies have an awful history of "updating" on a good shoe (as evidenced by a lot of comments on other HOKA models on this website...disappointment in changes everywhere). PLEASE HOKA, keep this model the same. Look at how consistent the reviews are on how awesome this model is!! NO NEED TO UPDATE!

Extra laces plz

I was hesitant to buy this shoe to replace my now dead Challenger ATRs because of how horribly uncomfortable my experience with the original Speedgoat was. I have a slight underpronation when I walk and the original Speedgoat exacerbated the problem to the point I was nearly walking on the outside of the shoe as opposed to to the sole (even with different insoles I had this problem so I have to assume it was just how the shoe itself was constructed). I looked at the support range for this one and saw it said neutral as had my beloved Challenger ATRs instead of the middle-range the horrid Speedgoats had indicated. I'm glad I decided to give them a try because they're wonderful. A little snug in the toe box, but thinner socks took care of that and now my feet feel even more supported because they're not sliding around the front of my sneakers. They're super cushiony, I have no trouble walking in them, and my legs don't ache when I've finished my daily walk. Again, I'm glad I decided to give the Speedgoat 2 a try despite the massive disappointment I had with the original Speedgoat. I'm happy they changed the design in this case.

I was changing shoes 3 times a night for my feet not to hurt during my 12 hr shift & I will never quit getting these shoes.

Great for long runs on steep, rocky, muddy trails. I worry about the durability of the uppers, but like the first speedboat, I like the extra rubber around the upper just above the EVA.

I have an ankle replacement and have given up an entire collection of footwear post op and am now only wearing your shoes! Despite being a woman, the men's styling is most comfortable. I get lots of interested folks wanting to know about my shoes. I also tend to love the most colorful styles! The cushioning and stability combination are fantastic! My surgeon at HHS in NYC and another orthopedic doctor friend at NYU Langone are now referring their patients to HOKA's!! Great for anyone who wants the best in comfort and performance!

I work on an assembly line, and I'm on my feet nearly eleven hours a day. I was able to use these shoes without any break in time. They helped ease some pain in my knees and hips.

I did notice that during a rain run the tongue did absorb quite a bit of water. The water weight might not be that big of a deal to me but it may be a big deal to others.
