The fit good, have a good arch support and room in the toe area. Only worn them once so far while blowing snow. It's only 30 degrees out so my feet did stay warm. Overall very satisfied with these boots.

I really like the zipper, which makes taking the boots on and off very easy. The fit is very similar to previous Merrells I've purchased.

Comfortable for most part. Really need a wide width, otherwise would have been a 5 star. Great around the ranch for everyday stuff, especially after a rain. They are very light weight yet feel sturdy. Easy on and off and I can spray the mud off after chores are done.

Very comfortable boot. After wearing all day for two weeks, I'm starting to break them in. The boots run smaller than advertised.

I've first heard of Merrell when I was hiking. I purchased my first pair over 10 years ago. I've owned many pair since. When I purchased these I was concerned that they were only available in a Medium width. When I first wore them the were very snug. But its been about 2 weeks now and they have broken in completely. I purchased them for work and they are holding up perfectly and very warm.

Pros: boots are lightweight, small profile (little bigger than a shoe), and have met my need for a walking boot as well as a warm winter boot. Con: Not waterproof at all. In fact, the first time I wore them, I kicked aside a large slush ball while shoveling with the inside of my boot (zipper location) and my foot was instantly wet. This was a big disappointment, as the boots were advertised as waterproof. This is my 3rd pair of Merrell's winter boots, and my first issue with them not being waterproof. I have found the boots typically last me 2 years, and by year 3 the inside, back of the heel, wears out to the point that all padding is gone. This leaves the structural materials of the boot exposed and it causes discomfort and blistering (wish the heel padding was more durable).

All in all a good comfortable boot. I bought them primarily for the Arctic Grip feature. When coming to wet ice I tested the traction several times and I found I could easily slide the boot over the wet ice with no friction restricting the slide. I pressed down firmly when trying this. I thought the Arctic Grip would grip the ice somewhat but it did not. Is it because I was not putting my full weight down that he boot did not have traction? Based on this test I am reluctant to walk on icy surfaces with these boots without being extremely careful. Please advise.

Bad back issues, messed up knees and old ankle break have me feeling like I'm 90 at 50. Found these boots online. Once I read the description of the boot, I told myself these boots searched me out and I'm glad they did. They do the job for me. If I climbed or worked outdoors in an environment that required the benefits this boot offered to succeed at whatever job re we hired to meet the rigors this boot was made for, well, let's just say if they had this boot when I was younger I'd purchase this boot without thought. It is undoubtedly the best boot I've ever put on my feet!

I wore these on the same day I received. we had some snow on Friday 11/16. not only did they arrive on time but able to wear them home in the snow. but I also wore them to work today. warm and comfortable.

Excellent boot with great traction on ice and snow. For a very lightweight boot it is very warm. The only thing I would improve is the hard insole. Had to get heel pads to soften the fit. Highly recommend this boot.

I use these boots year-round as workboots. They are good looking, comfortable, light, warm when you need warmth but not hot when it's warm out. One flaw - the flap on the inside/underside base of the zipper is too short, so every time you put them on , you have to push in that flap. It was annoying so I lengthened that flap with a bit of duct tape. Problem solved. Otherwise these would be 5 star boots.

These boots are very comfortable and waterproof. However, they are cut narrower than most Merrill sneakers/boots, so the availability of half sizes would be helpful.

I've only had them for a couple of weeks so far, but they are comfortable. I bought them a 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear in other shoes, so I would have some dead air space around my feet. Have not had any truly cold, miserable weather here in NYC since I bought them, but that is to change tonight with our 4th Nor'easter of the season heading our way ;-(! I am, however, heading to VT for the weekend to do some ice fishing with friends, so I feel like that will be the true test!!! As far as design, the zipper, I feel, could have had a a waterproof membrane of some sort attached on the inside that would prevent any seepage, since the zipper starts only 3" up from the ground! Would not want to have to walk through any large puddles with them on. Also, the closure of the zipper is a little snug and will not allow for thicker socks to be worn (which I have tried) without cutting off the circulation. I am a cold natured person as it is, and I am very concerned about my feet getting cold.

Size was perfect, arrived sooner than thought. An excellent light weight boot, it's like wearing slippers

Very well made and fit well. Lots of ice here this year. No slip is wonderful.

I bought these boots after a couple of painful falls while shoveling the snow on my steep driveway. I haven't used the word magic while reviewing a product before, but I tell you, these boots just stick. I don't know how, but the combination of the deep lugs on the sole and the material they use for traction really work.

I love almost everything about these boots. They fit perfectly, They're as comfortable as I'd hoped. And they look and act like serious cold weather boots. So what's not to love? The hype. Are these better on ice than any other boot I've worn? Absolutely. Do they live up to their hype? Almost. I'd say they're 80% as good as promised in the demo videos. You still have to be careful, and there are times you will slip. But 80% of perfect is still better than anything else out there (that I'm aware of). And I can live with that. So go ahead and buy these. You won't regret it--unless you're expecting perfection.

About 5 years ago I bought the similar version of the boot. I love the boot but just wish the back heel structure and water proofing lasted longer (this is why I am giving the new boot 4/5 stars)! This boot is very close but not quite as much soft insulation on the inside. It is still very comfortable and I just wear a little thicker sock. True to Merrell, the boot is a littler narrower than many men's shoes so it fits me perfectly.

A standard for waterproof footwear. Super lightweight and great traction.

Boots are light and work very well on ice.

The boots aren't stylish but the tread really grips the ice!

Ordered 1/2 size too large. Don't fit.
