I was looking for a higher boot that was light, flexible at the ankle, easy to get on and off and is good on ice. I have had them for a couple weeks now and I love them!

Blah. They look more stylish in the pic than on your foot. Minimal warmth for an outside boot, but maybe alright for a rainy day with jeans. They claim to be waterproof, but there is a long zipper (with open back) that goes all the way down to the sole. That will allow any water to come rushing right in. Bad design, for what I was needing. I got the Columbia Bugaboot III in grey as a replacement for durability and snow protection.

I have true size 13 1/2 B width very flat feet so these were perfect for my narrow feet. I still added a Spenco orthotic under the footbed for my over-pronation and that allows me to wear these every day on my train-bus ride to work. I never thought I'd find a zipper-style boot with my stick feet but here they are! If I had to find fault with these, it would be that they are a curved, not a straight last like I get in my running shoes but until someone invents "running winter boots" I think these will be my favorites. I've soaked them a couple times and feet stayed dry. I've worn them every day for the last month and bottoms look new. I don't even wear thick socks and my feet are comfy. I hope you are as happy with them as I am and thanks Zappos for your no hassle returns as I tested a couple of different brands. Safe to say the testing is all done!!

I have been stalking these boots for months (waiting for them to go on sale) once I determined they were the ones. One never knows until you get your hands on them and can try them on, and insert your custom orthotics, to see if they are going to work or not...these do, but just barely. Others have noted that they run small/narrow (they do) which can be good/bad depending on your situation. For me the size is good, but it always comes down to how deep the footbed is because if it's not deep enough then the shoe is going to be too tight as the foot will be pressed against the top of the shoe. That being said, the footbed just barely works for me, and although they are snug, they are not too tight so should work out fine (but I definitely won't be able to wear thick socks given how snug they are out of the box). Other than fit, I love these boots: very light, perfect height, warm and they are just downright cool looking (more than any other boot on the market). So if the fit works out for you then you won't be dissapointed in how they look/function.

These are a well constructed durable shoe. Lightweight yet warm winter boots are hard to find. These match the bill!

YES! I've finally found my winter boot. In the past the only boot that worked for me was a 5-11 style semi-tactical style. I wanted side zipper, lightweight, sorta warm and good traction. The problem was this style didn't really fit in with my CEO position and it was slippery on ice. As soon as these Merrells arrived I went out to attach the plow to my pickup. It was snowing a light fluffy snow over glare ice in our driveway. I did the duck shuffle for a few steps until I grew more confident in my traction and then I was moving around with more purpose. If the lugs are packed with snow the effectiveness of the sole is compromised but on uncovered ice the sole is markedly better than anything I have experienced, excluding wrap around traction aids. Pricey but I will forget about that as the months go by.

These are certainly not mean't to wear in "coldpack" or polar conditions, or snow for that matter and keep your feet warm. It makes me wonder, do any of these company actually test the boots in the conditions they say they are good for???

Purchased these boots for Minnesota winter..We have lots of snow and ice underneath snow. fit is good and feels well insulated.

These boots fit my size 10 medium foot very well. I have a high instep and the arch support is very good. They are lightweight, stylish and warm. I got them just in time for Colorado's recent blizzard. I found that the traction on snow and ice was super.

I love these boots. They are easy to get on and off, have given good footing in snow and ice, and are very comfortable. They are an excellent balance to my big heavy snow boots for wintry days with limited outside activity.

bought these for hubs and he said they feel great, very comfortable, haven't tested out the warmth or waterproof factor yet..but they replace an old beat pair of merrells that he wore into the ground so hopefully they hold up as well. He is leery of the zipper but fingers crossed it holds up. Amazing service as usual!!

Strikingly light for how solid they feel, how firmly (though not excessively snugly) they fit. Felt sure-footed and warm and dry, even trudging through ankle-high snow. The only quibble I have is that the zipper (I *love* that it's a zipper, btw. Laces in Winter gear are SUCH a chore!) feels a wee bit insubstantial. I fear it may give up the ghost after too much action. Overall, a VERY good purchase... And they look Rad, to boot! (as it were)
