Purchased boots for light use but very narrow foot bed. Overall great boot, would love to order another pair in Wide width to accommodate thicker socks.

I was very excited to receive my Merrel boots. I am a long time jungle mock buyer. I was kind of disappointed to open the box and find this little tiny winter boot. Somehow it fits my foot (size 12) but it's pretty snug. I would equate it to if your buying underwear and these boots would be the skin tight briefs. They fit but small tight and compact. They also don't seem to be very insulated, they are thin. The ice grip feature is also pretty weak. Overall for the price I am not super satisfied.

Advertised size is not true. Would not purchase again online.

Just about all of my footwear purchases are Merrells as I love them and probably have over 20 pairs right now but these winter boots are a huge disappointment. We've had a lot of snow recently and I made the mistake of taking a 4 mile walk in these and after the 1st mile, I began to feel the rigid plastic stabilizer cutting into both sides of my ankle bones on both feet but foolishly pressed on for 4 miles and when I took them off, had 4 bleeding sores. So, pretty much these are only usable to maybe go outside to get the mail, etc. If anyone from Merrell reads this and knows what I am talking about and has a suggestion for a better pair of winter boots, I would welcome the info.

I originally bought these boots with a lifetime warranty. Are use them sporadically as needed in the winter months in the snow, hence the need for waterproof boots. When I went to use them the second season I noticed they were leaking and the de- laminating at the toe guard. I Contacted Merrell customer support and was told there had been some issues with those particular boots which had been rectified. They asked me to destroy the boots with pictures as proof and they would send me a new pair which they did. I told him I was concerned that the same thing might happen and what should I do if I did and was told to call back and I will be sent another pairI wore them that winter with no issues but when I went to use in the second winter the same thing was happening.I told them that I was concerned that the same thing might happen and what should I do if I did and was told to call back and I would be sent another pair, 'because we stand behind our products'. When I contacted them the second time I was told that those boots only had a one year warranty and since they were older than one year they could not honor the warranty. I explained the history and that the boots have been originally purchased with a lifetime warranty and after speaking to a supervisor was told it then they had to standby their one year policy. They offered me a discount if I purchased a new pair but would not confirm that the problem had been corrected or that it would not happen with, yet another pair. I have been a loyal customer of Merrell for decades and have two other pair of boots and walker's that are more than 10 years old and still in good shape. I'm very disappointed with how the products have gone downhill and their refusal to honor the original warranty.

Very comfortable. Boot fell apart in under 1 month. Rubber peeled away from toe.

Vibram ice is nice but boots won't fit over heavy socks

Your product is no longer what it used to be. Everything just feels thinner. My old below the ankle Merrell shoes for fall are warmer.

I just got these in the mai and put them on. I thought ordering the same size I always wear would work. I figured merrell would design them to be snug but I have tons of room in the ankle and they fit perfectly in the foot. These will rub sores in my foot in hours. Worst part is I'm need them to be outside in the snow tonight and they are worthless.

My feet still get wet thought they were waterproof

This boot is definitely not waterproof. I noticed the first time I wore this boot in wet weather my left foot was getting wet. Another review on here said the zipper is not waterproof. Either my pair is defective or the zipper design on this boot is poorly designed . Overall, I am disappointed with this purchase because I bought the boots specifically to keep my feet dry and warm in wet weather. If you need to keep your feet dry, I suggest purchasing one of the boots without a zipper.

In general, I love Merrel. This particular boot, though.... The toe material that is supposed to be glued to the boot body is consistently poorly glued. If not for that elementary QA problem, I would purchase a new boot every year. Hopefully management gets their stuff together for this boot, because it's a great design and ticks a whole lot of boxes in terms of versatility. The toe problem just compromises the integrity way too much to consider purchasing.

The shoes are comfortable and seem to fit well. I bought them specifically because i wanted to try the "Arctic Grip" soles made by Vibram. I was especially impressed by the Vibram video which shows people walking up a very icy incline with no slippage at all. Well, I can say without reservation that the soles are HORRIBLE on an icy downhill slope of any kind. I took a nasty fall with them on ice with a slight downhill slope. So don't buy the shoes thinking that you will not slip and fall on ice....because you will.

Poorly made and there is no bellows on the tongue for waterproofing so you better not step into an inch of water...I am returning them.

I wanted some winter zip boots for work! I do lot of patrols in rain, ice and snow. These boot fail in every category. They don't keep your feet warm. Water and snow can get into the boot from the top collar. Which defeats the purpose of a winter boot. There are not comfortable and have a narrow toe box. I'm extremely disappointed with this boot. The design is flawed for sure. I've tired to different sizes as recommended.

Could not even get my foot into them!

I have been waiting to get the Artic Grip boot all year and when I finally do i fall on the ice twice in the first time out! Suppose to have the best insulation for warmth and my feet froze. So very disappointed. I have worn Merrell shoes for years ....

I was excited to get this shoe now it is snowing in Sapporo (Japan). It works well if the snow is fresh (as well as other normal boots). However, it was disappointing that I still slipped even with the advertised feature of this product. And these boots do not come cheap. I have uploaded a video as evidence. (Kind of dark)
